Saiyan

APPEARANCE: Saiyans are almost identical to humans, except for two things— The first and major difference is that the vast majority of Saiyans are born with a furry monkey-like tail* that either does or doesn’t match their hair in colour; and the second, is that many Saiyans tend to have dark hair and dark eyes. It is still possible for those of Saiyan blood to possess physical traits that differ from that commonality.

*While not compulsory, players may choose to roleplay their Saiyan as having a ‘tail weakness’ or ‘uncontrolled Oozaru’, for as long as they deem fit to do so. Otherwise, you may play a Saiyan that has fully trained their tail and Oozaru state to no longer be of any detriment to them.

BACKGROUND: Known as a warrior race, Saiyans are violent conquerors that have left their planet of origin and have began to attempt to take over Planet Plant as their new homeworld. They live for combat and are usually very proud by nature – children are judged at birth, and either dismissed as ‘low class’, or ranked as ‘elite’, with no room for revisions. Strength is valued above all else to most saiyans. Most of their kind reside on Planet Plant, though it isn't unheard of to find saiyans who prefer a more peaceful life living elsewhere.

Age Ranges: Saiyans are considered adults by 17 years of age, reach their 'prime' shortly after, and remain in such a state for the bulk of their lives. Saiyans only properly begin to see negative effects of age when they reach their 70's and rapidly decline when they hit their 80's. Saiyan culture however rarely ever leads to Saiyan's reaching old age with many preferring a death in battle over the decline of old age.

SAIYAN PRIDE When you have sustained 100% or more damage, you gain a +10% boost to all techniques, but you may not boost techniques with the momentum power boost. Healing to the point where you have less than 100% damage sustained deactivates this bonus.

ZENKAI Upon reaching 100% damage taken, gain a 'Zenkai Charge'. Upon reaching 200% damage taken, gain two. Healing in any way does not refresh this effect. Zenkai Charges can be spent to activate the Transformation Boost Momentum Effect without using MP to do so.

OPTION TRAITS

BURNING KI Thrice per thread, but once per post, you may spend momentum in increments of 2 to regain KP at a cost of 2 MP to 1 KP.

COMBAT LEARNING Twice per thread you may add any non-sparking variant to any standard technique you use. Your second use must be on the opposite technique type to the first. These cannot exceed two variants on one technique.

NOBLE BLOOD Increases the total damage you can sustain by 20%, and increases your Critical Damage Threshold by 30%. Additionally, you gain a third General Trait during character creation.

Saiyans may exercise full control over their transformation style (within reason) and may opt to use varied colours, designs, or other artistic elements that imply some unique strength outside of ordinary Saiyans and Super Saiyans. 

For sake of example, Ascended Saiyan is the same level of strength as Super Saiyan 2, and Further Beyond is equivalent to Super Saiyan 3. We have also included a helpful table below with known canon forms in order to showcase what from canon equates to in any given tier! Those shown in bold are the 'classic' choices. Keep these in mind when creating your custom forms!
