Where... Did she end up? Griselda couldn't remember where she was last. The piercing light of the sun in the skies woke her in a park not far from the city's Orange Star schools. A few rays poked past the trees to disturb the previously sleeping girl. She awoke on a park bench. No wounds, no tears in her dress... Just an inkling of fatigue that washes over her body as she comes to. A groan escapes her while she raises a hand to block out the harsh light.
"Hrrrgh... Wha...?"
She checked herself over once, twice, and leaned up from her ridden slouch. A couple of leaves that had made their home on her lap are disturbed and brushed away. Griselda had never been left alone for the most part. For how long? Who knows.
"Wasn't... Hey, Usumi, what happened?"
She muttered to herself some out of habit, propping elbows on her knees as she leaned further into herself. Rubbing another leaf out of her pristine hair. She left that hanging for a moment before she froze and blinked. She... didn't get a response. Like, at all. She panicked a little and threw herself back in the park bench she sat.
'Usumi??? This isn't funny. What happened?'
An image flashed before her of a fist rocketing into her side. Tearing a nasty gash into her dress and stomach as Usumi. She... was she saved from an attack? One that he brought upon himself, no doubt. The girl stood up and took a cursory glance around.
'Usumidori!'
Her thoughts ran harder as nervousness pushed heat into her face. With no proper training, this absence of Usumi meant her raw strength was on full view for the public to see. And that wasn't going to end up well for the pair that usually kept to the shadows.
"Hey! You!"
A park ranger stepped forth with a scouter, attention obviously centered on Griselda. Those striking green eyes pull over to him. It's just... some guy. Normally not worth even noticing. But she was stranded for the moment.
"Yes, sir?"
He was thumbing a pad in his hands, looking it over.
"You aren't registered, lass. I'm going to have to take you aside and get some proper city workers here to process you."
She went from apprehensive to defensive, instinctually pulling a hand to her sheath sword's handle. It was still there... Weird. What was she even thinking? This couldn't go well if she tried something or ran. She was just flat panicking!
