A HEARTBEAT TO THE RUBICON

Conflict was on the horizon.
Cato hoped it wouldn't mean war, but the pieces had been in motion for far too long. People had more or less fallen into their respective camps, and a few new faces were nosing around as well. It was exactly as it always was before something big happened, even if not everyone knew what that was yet. She had gone over all of her meetings and battles over the last two months in her head, over and over again. She thought she knew just about how it might play out--who might be where, what they might do. But she couldn't figure out who would have the edge, or what the aftermath might look like.
Now, she sat in the courtyard of Bonewood Manor, awaiting the arrival of the man who might well find himself an enemy of the very house that made this place their ancestral home. She knew she might, too. But there were things they had to discuss, before whatever happened, happened. Hatchi City and its fate was dangling by a thread, and with it, the security and stability of the Saiyan Kingdom and its people.
After sending a note for Lottus to meet her in that location, she began drawing a rough sketch in the sand. It was Hatchi City, in rough sketch, based on her trips through there as well as an old map she had recovered from one of their databanks. It didn't really matter which approach they took to Hatchi itself, but there were other concerns she wanted to go through--ones she wasn't sure Lottus would want to hear.
But, it was now or never.
Nothing would stop dominoes from falling where they would. It was her hope now to make sure they could be stood back up afterwards.
