BACKGROUND: The world was dark, for a while. He could not potentially have any recollection of it but he was born to a family that used to make their living up the mountains in the northern region. It was a harsh climate to begin with, but for many years they had settled there and exploited the nearby mines to earn enough to live without starving. However, they would not ever indeed lose to hunger but rather the mountains themselves one day exterminated the family.

Every single one of them was gone. A terrifying blizzard struck the mountain and it collapsed, it fell apart with ease and all that remained was silence for a time. It was hard to tell what happened precisely, but one did survive indeed, a young child stuck in the debris that had somehow formed a stone shield to protect himself from the disaster. It would remain unclear for however long said child survived on his own, but chances were slim that he could have possibly made it on his own, even if he would not have to worry about that.

After all, one day a man came. An elderly one at that, his hair was so long that it nearly touched the ground together with his beard and it was so white that it nearly looked like he had just fallen down into the snow. This man sensed the living being’s presence and investigated, while shocked at first that he would sense life from within a stone, it cracked open at his touch and revealed a monkey child.

The old man would do the right thing and raise the boy for the time being. It was a living nightmare, for the child was the incarnation of mischief. One could not look away a moment that he would be onto a new journey to cause trouble, but the elder was patient and dealt with it nevertheless, time and time again. As time passed, however, the boy insisted that he wanted to leave so he could see the world for himself, the very world that he had seen countless times on the old man’s television.

But he was only given a choice: if he wished to be free, he had to beat the old man in a fight. The boy lost for many years, time and time again, all the while the older man gradually taught him martial arts and developed the monkey into a warrior.

At last Banshō won, having mastered the secrets of the Turtle School from his teacher. And thus began his journey, at first it was quite a blind one but in each different town or village, the first thing he did was fight whoever was up for it. He made a little scene each time and announced he sought the strongest they knew, in the end it was a fair little hobby that soon became something more when he began to face the ones out of the ordinary that were a span above the others. There were strong individuals and strange abilities out there and he would see to it that they would be powerless before him, for he aimed to become the world’s strongest.

The user can transform into animals or objects, or even other people. The more complicated the target is, the more difficult it will be to completely replicate his target. He can shapeshift into other players if he has met them before. Requires OOC consent to shapeshift into another player.
