Zain hated the cold. Its intense nature made it difficult for him to breathe. The frigid winds brought ice and snow down upon him at an alarming rate. His black sleevless gi was almost frozen solid. He was not dressed for this environment. If he were an ordinary child he would have been dead a long time ago. This was NOT his natural climate and it was starting to take its toll on him. He missed the warm sun of the desert already.
He trudged along through the icey plains begrudgingly. His short little legs were completely submerged in the snow so that only his upper half could be seen. The trail behind him extended for miles. He could have just flown over and left this area behind him rapidly but something about the self inflicted suffering made him feel better. He was still bitter about his loss to Fukushu. The alien had broken every bone in his body but even more importantly was the difference in strength between them that he had highlighted.
Zain needed to get stronger. He needed some competition to sharpen his skills. The young boy absolutely refused to be outclassed forever. One day he would catch up. That was a promise! He loved exploring all the intricacies this planet had to offer but what he really craved was a knock down drag out brawl. He had a lot of pent up frustrations boiling inside of him that needed to be unleashed.
With a sigh the boy stopped walking. Nothing but snow and ice could be seen for miles. He truly felt alone. He let his hands flow through his short white spiked hair and knock out all the snow and debris. He couldn't put his finger on it but something in his gut was telling him to stop. His amethyst colored eyes peered out into the surrounding area looking for anything out of the normal. Even with his superb vision he could barely make out anything through the onslaught of the arctic storm.
