From the depths of space, a large, round starship flickers into existence, the light of the system's star alighting the left side of the ship in its glow. It was not one of the massive capital cruisers which elicited fear in the hearts of many species, but a ship of similar appearance, albeit only a quarter of the size of the cruisers. It could comfortably seat several passengers, and had enough a small room with four beds set into the walls for good rest.
Ticoga's ship is empty, save for himself, and the Arcosian lays his eyes on the planet for the first time. Not too long ago, other Arcosians of greater stature and might had assaulted this world. In all likelihood, he would be met with suspicion and discontent. But that was fine - with Empress Ise's word and name, he felt confident he could slip past those likely barricades.
Of course, he would have to get that far first. It was for this reason he had chosen to begin his descent to land on the Tuffle controlled side of the world. Purportedly, the Saiyans had won the war with the Tuffles; but word was that an agreement had been reached, and now the two races endured each other's presence in a tepid peace. It wasn't guaranteed to last, but at the very least it wasn't likely to degrade suddenly.
The crimson Arcosian takes the ship of cruising autopilot, and resets the ship to atmospheric entry autopilot, which was then programmed to switch over to landing autopilot as well once specific coordinates and geographical data had been collected by the onboard computer. And that task took less than two minutes once the ship was no longer affected by the entry. Shields prevented the ship from being shaken and damaged by turbulence and friction induced flames, so entry was quite pleasant overall.
His time on Konats had proven fruitful for his mission, and though he hoped to find out more on Plant, he didn't expect to. Still, it was at least worth visiting to ask some cursory questions, and see what pops up. The ship settles down, four pointed landing legs unfolding from the belly to hold its weight. Once he felt the touch of landing legs to the ground, Ticoga disables the Floaters and sets the ship to low power mode - only good for exiting and entering the ship.
He opens the hatch, and step out into the light. He made certain to make conversions for the currency he would be using on Plant, and got many a side long glance, or even outright staring. He wanders the streets for a time, largely ignoring the eyes of the Tuffle onlookers - though he never saw any Saiyans. The two races must have chosen to segregate for the foreseeable future.
The city was quite well built, Ticoga notes, for a species that had not yet reached the technological levels of the Arcosian Empire. It was an excellent starting point, but they still had a ways to go. Still, the technology could hold some manner of advancements that the Empire had not yet encountered itself - but the odds were quite low. The ability to create artificial life forms and deadly gas was hardly an advanced technology these days.
Eventually, Ticoga stops and considers his situation. He could entreaty with the Tuffle leader - but the odds of getting access to them so soon after the war with the Saiyans ended was debatable. Deciding to chance it, Ticoga stops a passerby with a wave of his hand.
"Pardon me. Good greetings and fair day." Ticoga says, his tone level and calculating. "I am visiting on a research mission. Perhaps you could assist me, or perhaps point me in the direction of someone else that could?"
