Cato's affirmation that she would like to keep fighting, though she would likely get sick all over the place, makes Lottus grin again. She has spunk, this one. Though her comment about being Low Class by circumstance confuses Lottus, until he considers the rest of her words. If she had been born to a higher class, she would not have been sent away like a Low Class infant. No, her family simply must have not wanted her.
That revelation in his mind makes Lottus' lip curl; but she immediately followed up with her confident remark, and how she would handle nay sayers.
"Ha! That's exactly the right attitude!" Lottus barks a laugh. He realizes that he was still shaking Cato's hand, and pulls his hand back. "Never let those with supposed class superiority hold that over you; when you have the power to knock them down, you do it."
She hadn't answered Lottus' query to see if she wanted to have a proper meal to help further stave off her drink, but he let that go as she continued speaking. He follows her hand and looks at the Moon, and furrows his brows. After a moment, he got her meaning.
"The Oozaru is a powerful form, and part of our culture, this is true. But it's not the only access to that power." Lottus tells Cato, lowering his eyes to lock onto her own eyes. "There are ways to access the power of the Oozaru, without transforming into one. Not fully."
Lottus contemplated whether or not to transform and show Cato, but the risks of losing his mind in that time were too great. Instead, he simply explains it.
"I can teach you how to access the Wrathful State - all the power of the Oozaru, and none of the fur." Lottus offers. "I can't show you here - the power comes with risks. As the name suggests, it's the wrath of the Oozaru made manifest. You can lose yourself to the fury - I always lose myself to it."
It wasn't fun to admit, but he wanted to be honest. Again, he didn't know why, but he did feel a kind of kinship with Cato, knowing that her family essentially abandoned her.
"The Wrathful State does not require the moon to be full - it doesn't require a moon at all." he continues evenly. "If you'd rather avoid it, then that's fine. But the power comes in handy immensely - I've survived battles well over my normal capability with it."
Lottus grins.
"And, you haven't answered me on whether or not you'd like some food." he chuckles.
