CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
Yatapi is 4’7”/143.2cm. While he is not the tallest of fellows due to being a Tuffle, there is the illusion that he is in fact slightly taller than he actually is since Yatapi has always maintained a perfect posture. He is otherwise of a proportionately average build. His hair is a speckled off-white pink with magenta-red ends and he has yellow eyes with bright off-white yellow pupils.
Yatapi is practical about his attire as well. He prefers a padded coat of a minty green hue, dark green trousers and black boots. All of these clothing items are lab-safe and intentionally augmented with additional defensive technologies as well as partial integration with Yatapi’s personal nanotechnology.

BACKGROUND:
"Understanding is the ultimate reward of science." Was a saying coined by an accomplished Tuffle scientist in the years prior to the arrival of the Saiyan wanderers. An optimistic fellow by the name of Argondturif, or Arie for short. They were something of an oddball even among peers, and even more so once the Saiyans arrived, seeking to understand what made them the way they were over fighting them. Arie was adamant about not using science for cruelty and violence, and this caused something of a schism between them and their peers.
That isn’t to say nobody agreed with how Arie saw things, their family, some close friends and otherwise accomplished colleagues understood that they meant well; and at worst thought Arie was ahead of their time in many ways. Arie’s way of thinking persisted even during the Tuffle campaign against Saiyans, opting to take as much of a backseat as possible; Arie focused on family and educating youth. Arie’s lineage expanded to the point where they ended up with several great grandchildren until his eventual passing; the most notable was one that took most after Arie in both looks, temperament and thought process; Yatapi, as the boy was named, idolised his great grandparent; and took to heart that which had become the family saying; from a young age, Yatapi wanted to understand the universe, to master science in what he saw as the ’true’ way.
Even with this tension and war now having a seemingly tight grip on planet Plant. Yatapi would do his best to stick to his guns as a tribute to Arie’s legacy and promote the family’s ideals regardless of the current social climate. In his leisure time, Yatapi immersed himself in biomechanics, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, ecology, and evolution; leading to some personally impressive technological breakthroughs!
At some point, Yatapi would find himself working with a group of Tuffle scientists that on the surface seemed relatively agreeable at first; and perhaps it was by his own idealism that Yatapi was fooled into thinking this group were good people, but he ultimately found that they were not as morally sound as he thought.
There were secret experiments being done that horrified Yatapi once he had found out, sick, twisted and utterly painful things were being worked on in order to cause harm. Unethical genetic experiments, anti-bio warheads— some of these things were also Destron based war weapons, the most baleful thing imaginable in Plant’s scientific history!
This could not stand, and if Yatapi had anything to say about it, it wouldn’t,— now boy howdy did he have a lot to say. Yatapi began planning how to take down these heinous operations with ruthless scorned efficiency, his goal was to do much as he could to cause a domino effect that could ruin this group he thought he could trust.
Among his many attempts at secret sabotage, Yatapi tampered with machinery and stole battle-centric technologies ranging from weapons to android blueprints. He also ’repossessed’ revolutionary AI emotion chips that he helped perfect, and installed one in an android that wasn’t exactly designed for one; Curie.
However, Yatapi’s biggest act against this group was breaking into the secret biological experiments unit, tending to those unfortunate enough to have been caught up in this mess and experimented on, before making sure they could be freed safely... There were scores of Saiyan experiments that Yatapi decided to tamper with. He would do his best to sabotage any neural inhibitors and ’loyalty’ protocols in order to cause the most damage to this group and the most benefit to himself and the planet at large.
There were even more to be given their freedom, of course, so Yatapi eventually found himself among the dangerous creatures that were being held captive. One in particular caught his eye, it was the source of several rumours he heard in his sabotage efforts.
This being was one that many saw as a subservient monster, a thoughtless killing machine, a perfect weapon— notions Yatapi refused to believe— it was a raptor type Saiba-beast, called Jawbones. They were noted in the systems here as more innately intelligent than others of their kind even before extensive testing and experiments. Through his experience in ecology, evolution and animal handling, he could tell this Saiba-beast wanted what he did. Revenge.
Without much of a second thought, Yatapi unleashed all of the captive beasts and people, in a sense he also unleashed himself. As a result, chaos ensued with Yatapi leading the charge alongside many creatures and individuals of planet Plant, to ruin as much as they could collectively get their hands, claws, talons, horns, and fangs on.
The pandemonium unleashed by what was essentially a mass prison break set back the shady group of scientists a good decade or two by Yatapi’s estimate upon reflection as he left, making sure as many of the once captive assets could escape into the wild before making his way to his personal underground lab on his own estate.
There, fueled by the blazing desire to ruin anyone that would harm planet Plant— whoever they were, Saiyan, Tuffle, or otherwise— Yatapi began the finishing touches on the culmination of his skills; a carefully curated and crafted brand of breakthrough nanotechnology. It was something he had been brewing up for years, he knew what it could do as it currently was, but that was not good enough anymore. He needed to improve it, make it so that it would respond only to his will… Yes, if he was to fully integrate himself with it, it’s potential would skyrocket! Yatapi would begin the procedure without a second thought— the adrenaline and motivation compelled and pushed him forward. Binding the self-replicating nanotechnology and his own living body together was risky, but he was more than capable of this feat. It took a while, and eventually Yatapi was one with what he had created. Since it was a stressful procedure, Yatapi had to rest for quite a while until he had a better understanding of the results.
In understanding his newly upgraded self he felt greatly rewarded, the words of his great grandparent Arie ringing truer than ever before in his mind, accompanied by another realization after coming to terms with recent events. Understanding is the ultimate reward of science, and ignorance was the ultimate failing of science. Soon, Yatapi would make sure everyone understood just that, and those who would not would feel his wrath...

COMBAT INFORMATION
TECHNIQUES:
|| Offense || Light || GOL-M: Golem Sledgehammer
Yatapi brings together a bunch of nanomachines and fabricates either one large black metallic fist or two medium sized ones. In either case these fists have glowing yellow decals and lines throughout, pumping founts of energy through them. These fists are based on the idea of a mystic entity commonly known as the golem; a being made of mud clay and bricks, brought to life by magic.
Power: 40%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants:
|| Defense || Medium || PIX-Y: Pixie Rescue Drones
Using several groupings of nanomachines under his control, Yatapi creates a series of glowing yellow dodecahedral constructs with four little glowing ’wings’ that are simply small rockets in disguise. These constructs are then instructed to protect someone until they are either destroyed or run out of power. These tiny defenders are based on the idea of pixies, fae and fairies; little magical spirits that are both cunning and caring in equal measure, bringing woe upon the wicked and giving protection to the righteous.
Power: 30%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Distance, Sustained
|| Offense || Heavy || DRG-N: Dragon Jaw Blaster
Using a decent chunk of the nanomachines under his control, Yatapi commands them to build a large black cannon structure with glowing yellow decal and vent lines. This cannon can be set up nearby or otherwise protrude from his arms, atop his shoulders or from his back; the front barrel of the cannon is jagged like a sharp toothed jaw, and as more energy is collected in it, the further the jaw opens before firing a yellow fount of energy. This mighty cannon is based on the idea of dragons; fierce and powerful creatures that command respect, be it as fearsome untamed beasts or noble guardians, the reputation of a dragon is far reaching.
Power: 80%
KP Cost: 5 KP
Variants: N/A
|| Defense || Medium Sparking || HYD-R: Hydra Defense Array
Using a unique sequence and high energy command chain, Yatapi creates a specialized series of nanomachine structures that mix together aspects of the PIX-Y and DRG-N commands to make something new. The result is a powerful shield that can skyrocket in protective strength under the right conditions, additionally, it fragment itself in order to protect more than just Yatapi himself. This multifaceted defense system is based on the idea of the hydra, a tenacious, legendary beast with multiple heads that keeps continually growing more if one is struck down.
Power: 60%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Splitting+, Stress Test
Utility Technique || Fabrication Matrix
Using his unique and advanced self integrated nanotechnology, Yatapi can construct or repair various things through the use of said nanotechnology. More complex constructs or repairs take more effort and/or time to do depending on Yatapi’s level of understanding. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
Utility Technique || Rebuild Network
Technology that Yatapi either constructs, repairs or otherwise comes into contact with can additionally be augmented and improved far beyond original limitations via the use of his own unique nanomachines. Obviously, this is far easier to do effort wise on that which already exists as opposed to Yatapi creating something and then augmenting it. Using this technique on technology operated by or otherwise under control of another player requires OOC consent. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
Utility Technique || Flight
Through thorough study, Yatapi has mastered the science and theory of aerodynamics and propulsion. As such, he is capable of flight via Ki or use of available technology. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
