"Good to meet you Megis," Celerous nodded as the Majin offered his hand to Tysco, "as long as we can all agree to get along, I'd be happy to show you the fields."
He really didn't have beans, of any kind. Not even pinto. But it seemed to him that Megis wouldn't leave the issue be until he'd seen the lack of beans for himself. So be it: Celerous took pride in his work anyways, so he didn't mind giving a tour. It would serve as a decent enough break from the day's work. Then after that, they could get back to what Tysco was looking for.
"Alright. We'll take a quick tour, and then we can track down your creature, Tysco. Does that sound amenable to everyone? Nobody threatens anyone, and Tysco has already agreed to keep his drone off of you, Megis. So I reckon we're all good here?"
Celerous figured walking the fields really wouldn't take that much time. Sure, there was quite a bit of land, and Tysco couldn't fly, but they were three reasonably young individuals. Plus, it wasn't like they were going to investigate every crop of every field. Celerous had already done that earlier in the morning. So, the young hybrid thought they'd walk the perimeter of the fencing and call it good.
He just hoped Megis wouldn't fuss about it.
Tysco asked Megis a question, about why he was so interested in beans, and Celerous had to admit that he was quite interested in the answer. What use did a bubblegum monster have with beans? Was he looking for black beans, or chickpeas? Because Celerous knew a neighboor a few miles down that ought to have something like that. Maybe they could solve this bean shortage after all.
Except, Celerous didn't want to send Megis to someone's door, only for the Majin to threaten them like he'd tried to threaten him.
