Round 1: Team Four Versus Team Five

Another tournament. It was perhaps a bit strange of him to be joining one once more, it was not like the last one really had him on the ropes. Even though that one opponent he fought with the silver hair was fascinating, actually. Strong, even. After that he remembered having met a couple of beings that sort of brought his mind away from the tournament and shifted his interest towards self-improvement. What else could he improve about himself was one of the daunting questions back then.

Then why did he join yet another one? To be fair he did not know. Did there have to be a reason? Not particularly, at least to him, he could be here just for fun or perhaps for further motives. But what good was trying to find an explanation to any of the things he did? After he had long gone down upon the path that led him thus, upon a planet he did not ever think of visiting outside of this one event?

But what did he know? There was actually an interesting range of fighters here. He did not get to meet most of them but his teammate was somewhat familiar; outside of what happened on Namek he did remember the time a robot attacked him out of nowhere on Plant. But he was also different altogether. No matter, though. The two were a team right now. There was no time to think about the past.

As for his opponents, he did not think anything outside of the neutrality realm about them. He did not scorn or think anything much when it came to the idea of a Saiyan raised in that Empire, perhaps he was happy he was not an isolated case when it came to Saiyans born and raised off Plant. To be fair he did not even care about the Saiyan Kingdom to begin with, therefore it was just fine for him. The Emperor was a little more interesting. He did not think he would get to face such a figure, not on the first match even.

This was a good chance, after all.

Nasu himself, at least to Ward, if he had any memory of him, compared to that he would look much calmer, stable and maytbe even his energy was somewhat different from back then when they met that one time.

The Saiyan just blinked and gave a quick nod to salute the opponents. He did join mostly to test out his own arsenal and perhaps also just for the sake of fighting but it was true that most likely his opponent's motives would be much different. Judging from their connection it was very likely it was due to political reason, could it be propaganda perhaps?

Nevertheless.

His power began to skyrocket followed by a discharge of electricity across the tournament grounds but even the man did not surpass the limits set by the other. He did not need to read or know if he was suppressing himself, he did not feel the need for a crushing victory at the moment. If that was the level of the fight then that was going to be it, for now.

The stranger Brumal decided to make the first move amongst them all. He did not exactly hear if the other Saiyan told them anything but it was probably an okay match for the Saiyan. Not that he believed for one moment their power level would be this limited, he remembered that Azoth's strange threat to him. Their kind could hide massive amounts of power but in truth Nasu was not one bit worried about that either.

Nasu however did not flicker at the sudden passage of the Arcosian's image and instead only trusted in his senses, his limbs did not grow tense and neither did his body respond any differently. If his opponent would attack, he would bite back.

"You are welcome to raise the bar at any moment. I will follow."

Keep him busy? Then he guessed that other Saiyan really did give him some directives, how interesting. If he had to picture the one giving orders it would have been the Emperor, certainly not the soldier. But sure. The one clone, he did not exactly perceive as a threat, he could tell it was not even real.

However he found whatever it was doing to be a bit silly. Annoying? Maybe a little bit, given it was currently wearing his face. But he turned around to the Emperor soon enough and smiled.

Out of nowhere a multitude of Nasu appeared out of thin air, as if they had all suddenly broken the veil of reality, and they all were currently having some level of strange experience: some were confused and looked around, trying to understand just were they had just been unleashed, others were pumping up for a fight, and others just poked Brumal's clone.

"I do not feel distracted for now. We could make that a competition if the crowd does not mind."

Was it sportsmanship perhaps? No, not quite. He did not care to even make the first move himself. All he needed was measuring himself up to somebody else. This time he was not a walking recruiter for a war, right now he was a fighter.

"You do not have to trick me if you need me distracted. Taking an Emperor on as an opponent is both an honor and enough of a challenge to prove distracting."

He did not move, rather from the veil of reality once more, a dark dragon, one that Ward might have spotted on Namek, suddenly rushed from Nasu's side and attempted to clench Brumal into its jaws.

It felt like he would keep the monopoly on the Emperor for the moment. Not that he would mind, it only meant the fights would likely not mix for now. He did not exactly understand one bit what the deal was with the machine man and the other Saiyan but he did not need to know that much right now.

"We could do that. But I am afraid it would grow boring after a little while."

The moment of the impact came. Just the way he attacked, the other also blocked. In that it felt they were matched for now but of course he probably expected this one individual to hide most if not all of his power currently.

"Empress? Which one of you is the Emperor then?"

Were they all emperors? He did not remember that being the way it worked, but alright. Anyhow by now, the dragon had withdrawn and Nasu did not flinch just yet. Something big was coming, he could see it. But just like the bar rose, so did his power level begin to spiral into a higher level, to the point where their powers would soon match.

"A big fist. Not a bad idea."

Likewise the dragon grew a body, much alike last time although it did not reach the height it did on Namek and right then a massive great ape's arm followed suit and met the other's fist into the air, effectively shielding Nasu from harm.

"What are two Emperors doing here? Is lack of active leadership not risky for your Empire?"

He said before the dragon slammed his other fist into the ground near the proximity of Brumal. He did not try to hit him, for the barrier possibly, instead it simply aimed to shatter the ground beneath the Arcosian in the attempt to knock him away.
