Upon successfully defeating and 'absorbing' an enemy, gain a +15% bonus to thread completion up until that point, for immediate application to your PL. Only usable in Action Threads on wounded or dead characters, useable once per thread. You gain one Light, Medium, or Heavy Technique from your opponent's arsenal of your choice.

IMPOSSIBLE RECOVERY
If you are defeated by taking Critical Damage in an Action Thread, you can choose to be dealt a Wound and continue the fight with whatever HP you have remaining. If defeated again, you will be dealt an additional Wound. In a non-AT thread, this allows you to resist Critical Damage once, and you do not sustain a wound.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS

BACKGROUND:
Epoch has no past, and thus no background. They have only just come into being in this universe. Epoch's first memory is opening their eyes and finding themselves just hatched out of a flesh orb in the middle of the Twisted Wilds of Konats. Epoch has no idea who they are, what they are, and why they are. All they know is their name "Epoch Kalyps".
Whether Epoch was created by a specific mystical being on purpose, or was just a spontaneous manifestation of the uncontrolled magic of the Twisted Wilds is unclear. There was no one around to grant them guidance.
As they travelled, lost and confused, they came upon a small band of nomads. The people feared Epoch's foreign appearance and the sense of dark magic emanating from them and thus attacked. And so Epoch's first engagement with a being other than themselves was one of violence.
Epoch slaughtered the nomads in self defense, but the mental damage was done. Epoch now views the world as a hostile place, one bent on destroying them.
Things may change for Epoch if they are shown kindness, or they may continue to be a force of destruction should the universe continue to be cruel to them.
Who is to say what Epoch's future holds?
