CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE -
BACKGROUND: Deca hails from Planet Planar, a secluded and mostly isolationist supergiant world filled with the strange beings known as Planarians. Little is known about their planet and even less about the people that call it home. Planar is located in a small safe pocket amid a sea of ever-raging storms and radiation clusters in space that forms a deathly shroud around the planet, discouraging exploration from both insiders and outsiders alike. The circumstances created a vacuum in which the exchange of culture and technology was exceedingly rare. Yet, bizarrely, the interior societies and technological progress on Planar proceeded at roughly the same rate as any other advanced planet in the known galaxies. While the blocky, smooth, seemingly featureless ships and other forms of tech are strange compared to 'regular' inventions, they work just as well.
The nature of their isolation, strange origin, and natural psionics created the perfect mixture for fracture and civil conflicts - yet these seldom occurred. Planarian society developed as a republic-driven considerate and quid pro quo system with an equal focus on individual liberties and the common good. Deca adopted this behavior without a second thought; she was raised as an average middle-class child. Her father, Trigon, was a public service worker under the employ of local governance. Her mother, Axi, held a more prestigious role as a lead aerospace engineer and foremost advocate for attempting to make continuous contact with species beyond their own borders. Despite both being devoted to their work, chunks of time and frequent breaks were made to accommodate for Deca's place in her parents' lives. By all accounts, her early life was as picaresque as one could ask for, and indeed the deep-rooted love and effort both Trigon and Axi poured into Deca made her love them in return.
Deca herself was nothing out of the ordinary growing up. She had friends, did well in school, and even worked hard at a part-time job, but she never stood out as the most spectacular person in the room. Her psionic abilities were also average despite coaching from Trigon, with the Planarian's most unique thing being her relatively humanoid appearance - somewhat of a rarity among her species. A teenaged Deca had no clear desired career path either, impressed but uninspired by both of her parents' chosen jobs. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until, after Deca's sixteenth birthday, Axi and a small crew decided to brave the unknowns of space after years of convincing their fellow Planarians of the idea.
The mission was to only last six months and be the SOLE manned mission with such a prized scientist at the helm. That was until eight months had passed, and for the first time in her life, Deca felt a genuine spike of worry for her mother. Planarian command re-assured everyone that six months was an early projection time and that safe returns for their voyage could take up to a year instead, but something didn't sit quite right with the young girl. Despite the potential danger, Deca decided to try and trace her mother's proverbial footsteps, both to reunite with her and to visit the mysterious galaxy she knew so little about. Of course, a fourteen-year-old (almost fifteen!) would typically be hard-pressed to get her hands on a working spacecraft, avoid detection, and have the skills to pilot it through spatial storms... but Planarians were an odd bunch.
There wasn't a need to lock down or restrict the ships they DID have, and thanks to frequent showcases and trips with Axi, Deca picked up on how to operate one. Trigon would never agree to this course of action even if he was also worried about Axi - after all, sending one's own child into peril is hardly a situation most parents would jump at - so Deca did the sensible thing and simply left him a note before sneaking off. Faced with the immediate need to construct spacecraft capable of handling and thriving in the harsh environment outside their home planet, Planarian ships are excessively durable and stable hunks of alloy. Well made enough that even a novice pilot like Deca could safely (albeit slowly) escape the hazardous area and head off into distant parts of the galaxy.

Light Offensive || FLASH/driveSTARTING LOADOUT: 20,000 XP -> PL | 3,000 Zeni on Ki Guidebooks, saving rest
Deca propels a small, encased cylinder of energy which bursts in a searing flash of power.
Power: 20%
KP Cost: 1 KP
Variants: N/A
Light Offensive || FRAG/ment
Forming a an unstable triangle-meshed dodecahedron, Deca flings it forward like a grenade, wherein it summarily detonates in a flash of purple energy and bluish-green sharpened shards.
Power: 40%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: N/A
Light Defensive || RE/boot
A small shockwave radiates outward from Deca's body in a short area, deflecting or nullifying attempted attacks.
Power: 20%
KP Cost: 1 KP
Variants: N/A
(10k) Light Defensive || FIRE/wall
Psionically-formed polygonal flames form to protect Deca, taking on a primarily dual hue of cyan-pink with hints of yellow.
Power: 40%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: N/A
(20k) Medium Defensive || ZERO/point
Opening up a palm-sized blackened blue void, Deca can completely negate a single oncoming attack.
Power: 90%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Evasive
LIGHT OFFENSIVE SPARKING || NULL/cmd
A MUCH more advanced variation of her RE/boot ability, it is a simple but effective three step process: Unleash a devastating violet beam of stored psionic energy, catch any potential attacks with a makeshift ZERO/point, and shroud her body with cyanish-pink flames using any leftover energy.
Power: 10%
KP Cost: 1 KP
Variants: Counter, Back-Up Plan
Utility Technique || FLIGHT
Deca can manifest her telekinetic abilities and grant flight to her own body. Unlike most forms of Ki-based flight, this type is entirely silent and has no accompanying aura.
Utility Technique || EEG SCAN
With some concentration, Deca can attempt to psionically sense other beings within a mile radius of her. Unlike regular Ki sensing, she can only get an extremely vague sense of someone's power. However - (WITH PLAYER CONSENT) - it can bypass typically invisible targets (those with antisense) as she isn't looking for Ki, but mental activity.
Utility Technique || PLANETARY TELEPATHY
While her prowess is with telekinesis over the mental side of things, Deca is still capable of utilizing basic telepathy to communicate with others in lieu of using her voice.
Utility Technique || FALSE READING
While Deca's true energy cannot be sensed on account of her nature as a Planarian, excess psionic energy spills from her in a way that can be mistaken for her power - the output typically rests around 50 PL. While she can seal this gap with some focus, Deca usually doesn't as it serves little purpose. Unlike regular false suppression, she can fight at full power without this facade wavering, though it quickly becomes clear that it is fake.
