Krim's PL: 2,500
After returning home for the weekend, Krim was simply glad to see so many familiar sights again. From the nostalgia she got from walking past her old high school to the enjoyment she had drinking a vanilla latte from her favorite coffee shop, her visit was off to a great start. As much as she wanted to spend all the time she had with her family, they just so happened to be busy that morning which was a shame. Nonetheless, it gave her a perfect opportunity to reminisce about the past and acquaint herself with these familiar sights one last time before she would return back to university this Monday.
If there was one thing that she didn't miss from the North, it would definitely have to be the spontaneous spring showers. What Krim had thought to be a cloudy morning earlier that day quickly turned into sprinkles to her dismay. The dark gray clouds spoke signs of the weather further worsening and she had left her umbrella back at her family house. Great, this was going to be a fun time. Now all her morning plans were ruined. Letting out a brief sigh of displeasure, Krim scanned the street to find a place to take shelter from the rain, although it was a bit difficult both due to the urgency and the fact that one of her eyes was obscured with an eyepatch, nonetheless, the closest she could find was an alleyway down the street who fortunately had a roof stretching over the top. It wasn't the best by any means, but it was far better than risking a cold.
From the forecast app on her phone, the rain didn't seem to be letting out for at least another hour. Just her luck. For a brief moment, Krim contemplated calling a friend or a family member to pick her up, although her phone would suddenly die the moment she had drafted up a text. Right, she forgot her charger back at the dorm and she hadn't had the chance to charge her phone last night. Great. Well, at the very least the rain shouldn't last for more than an hour, although waiting it out would be a difficult part. Groaning, she leaned back against the wall, arms cuddling the now cold latte in an effort to at least maintain some warmth. What else was there for her to do?
