971 - Our New Home
The war effort in trying to invade Planet Plant for the benefit of survival for the whole species was crucial to say the least. Yangcong's Father, used his military soldiers and overall squadron to get his own family into safety. Yangcong was around the age of ten. He was sitting in his private quarters, scared and worrying about the means to traveling to a new planet. Planet Koosho was the only planet that Yangcong had now been living in for the past ten years. However that Planet too had its problems, so much so that the saiyans had to evacuate it as well. Yangcong's father had entered the room, bulky and strong, his father looked so intimidating that it made Yangcong stand up straight like a soldier. His missing left eye was a symbol that war was fucking hell. Yangcong's father knew that the boy was scared and had immediately got to his eye level and patted his shoulder.
"We will be going to a new planet Yangcong, where we won't have any mercenary invaders or natural disasters cause us to leave. Everything will go just as planned. We will land on the planet and take care of the enemy. We are the last set of saiyans to land on the planet."
He rose to his feet and smirked, as he left the room. Yangcong's mother had waited in the hallway and had her arms folded across her chest. She was a tuffle and was covered head to toe with tuffle gear that she had acquired.
"You really want to take over the Planet that I grew up on?"
Yangcong's father had stopped for a moment, he knew this conversation was bound to come up at some point and he calmly sighed to himself.
"Our leader believes that this planet will fully sustain our way of life permanently. Truth be told we have been on a constant struggle against the Herans lately and we figured that the tuffles technology and home world would be the best option to preserve our lives. We may be mercenaries but so are they. Our rivalries seem like it won't end."
Yangcong's mother just shook her head in disbelief.
"If my parents were still alive, would you really continue this war effort against the planet?"
Yangcong's father had looked down in sorrow for a second, and then with fire in his eyes he stared back.
"I don't have a choice in the matter. Right now, we need to find a new planet. The Herans have already...."
He had paused for a moment, hiding his tears.
"Killed my best friend already. I have to make this bold move with the remaining men that I got and push forward to advance and take over the planet. If I don't, the saiyans that are already fighting on the war effort will die. If I don't do something, our son may die early on."
Yangcong's mother had touched her chest for a second and looked into the room at Yangcong laying in bed trying to sleep as the door was slightly cracked opened. Yangcong had walked passed her and she had turned towards him and lightly grabbed his wrist.
"Promise me that you will survive."
He continued to walk as he hesitated for a second. That was a promise he just couldn't keep. A few hours had passed and the remaining soldiers on the planet had left and went straight to Planet Plant for the invasion. Yangcong's father was in charge of the mission and spoke into the microphone to the saiyans that are on the field below.
"This is Commander Yeven. My squadron has arrived to help the war effort."
Static could be heard and finally another voice.
"Commander Yeven, this is Lord [Redacted], my orders for you is to head straight to the small city in the west. For some reason the tuffles haven't been coming from that side. I want you and your men to claim the territory and hold it down for us."
"I understand."
After two hours had passed, they had landed on the city and all of the soldiers started to search building by building, for some strange reason the entire city was empty with no organic sign of life. Yangcong's father was at the center of the city with his son and wife and a few soldiers around them. He had spoken into his scouter.
"Lord [Redacted], We cannot sense or find any tuffles in this city. Perhaps they have moved towards your location in order to provide more man power."
"No that's impossible, the tuffles population is much greater than ours at the moment. I have more troopers coming in a few hours."
Yangcong's father had looked to the sky and three massive size missiles was coming straight to the city.
"What the hell is..."
Yangcong's father had spotted the missiles just in time and looked to his son and wife and a nearby manhole. He picked them up and forced them into the manhole.
"GO NOW!"
They hurried inside and Yangcong's father had looked at his son and calmly touched his face.
"You will be okay I promise."
He had closed the manhole and turned himself into his ape form. The missiles had hit and the destron gas had covered the entire city. Yangcong's father and his entire squadron was wiped out by the gas. As the gas had soon subsided. Yangcong and his mother had traveled the sewer system. Soon, they found themselves out of the city and to a forest. They both could sense that Yangcong's father didn't make it. As they traveled through the forest, they encountered one of the tuffle's cities. Two tuffle soldiers had stood at the gates and aimed their rifles at the boy and mother. One of the soldiers spoke.
"Its just a tuffle and her son. For a second we tho-"
The tuffle soldier had spotted Yangcong's tail and immediately aimed their rifles back at the boy.
"He's a saiyan!"
The mother had blocked her son from view and opened her arms wide.
"Wait, he's my son!"
The other soldier had spoken.
"Based on their direction, it looks like they came from the city we just attacked. We have to eliminate them, tuffle or not."
They began to fire their guns and Yangcong's mother had grabbed her son and easily dodged their blast rifles. She headed straight into the woods and the two tuffles soldiers were right behind her. Yangcong had looked to his mother and was scared.
"What are we going to do?"
About that time, Lord [REDACTED] and a few saiyan soldiers had arrived and had taken out the tuffle soldiers with ease. The Lord looked at the both of them and smiled.
"Come, we have established a city in the far South. You and your boy will be safe."
They both were now in the city in the far South.
On Planet Plant the resistance was strong and both sides saw conflict and dramatic life event changes on both sides. When the ambush had happened and the bad news came to Rukkora's doorstep she didn't know how to take the news. The tuffle wife of a fallen soldier had collapsed to the ground. The money that her husband had acquired and the death proceeds from it, would be more than enough to stable the family for generations to come due to Yeven living the life of basic necessities and not spending his money on high end stuff. Yangcong was in the backyard of the house just training day in and day out punching and kicking at a gigantic oak tree. Rukkora didn't know how to break the news. She stood on the backend of the porch and looked at the tired Yangcong.
"Yangcong, can you come here."
"Your father didn't make it out of the city that we were in. There were no other survivors....."
After the news was told to him, he had collapsed and cried. A few months had passed and now he was wearing the typical saiyan uniform that every child would wear just before heading over to the military. His mother Rukkora couldn't let him go and continued to hug him.
"Mom you have to let me go."
She held back her tears and let her boy go. During this time period, if a family member didn't allow their child to enlist, they would face a prison sentence until the war was over and the son would go into the foster care system which ultimately were sent to the frontline of the war effort. Yangcong was now on a hover bus filled with new recruits. He was excited and determined to make his family proud. Upon arriving at the station, he lined up with the rest of the saiyan candidates. Each were interviewed and process, and now it was Yangcong's turn.
"What is your name, your age, your race, and what job position do you want?"
"My name is Yangcong, i'm 11, i'm a hybrid, my mom is a tuffle and my father was a saiyan, and the job I want is to be an infantryman."
"Alright, take your gear and get to the training grounds."
Upon arriving each of the candidates were tested to see how they would fair in combat. Yangcong was the worst student they had received, no power to speak of and on top of that, he couldn't enter the ape transformation despite having a tail. This had made the drill instructors curious at first but they had came to the conclusion. They had pulled him to the side and told him.
"I'm sorry son, but we can't have you here in this unit."
"But why?"
"You may have a saiyan tail, but you have the genes of your mother as well, which is why you can't transform. I'm sorry but, we can't take you. You will end up dead before you could even pose a threat to anyone. My advice for you, is to enter the counter intelligence department."
"The counta, the county, the count.... um."
"Just head over back to the lady you spoke with earlier and she will tell you all about it."
Yangcong had went back to the interview room and the woman had interviewed him again.
"The counter intelligence department is for those who won't ever see the frontline. They are behind the scenes type where they go out and scout known tuffle campsites and gather intel and brings it back to us. They let us know how many soldiers they have, what technology they currently have, and what countermeasures we can do to prevent all that."
"But I want to be on the frontlines, where I can make a true change. I don't want to do scouting or anything like that. I want to make a difference!"
She had placed her index finger to her lip, finally looking at her computer.
"Well the spy division is coming up. If you're interested?"
"Spy?"
"Yes, the Spy division is in charge of entering the enemy territory and sometimes they stay within a few days to months to even years. They are developed all around and only a select few are chosen. It's a life or death situation and is very dangerous. At times, your commanding officer may order you to end the life of an important figure head or abandon the operation all together. Are you interested in joining?"
"Yes I am."
Yangcong was placed in the spy training grounds, where the lead drill instructor began to speak up.
"Welcome you maggots, I hope you are ready. 100 of you stand here before me. We are looking for only ten of you. The rest will be kicked out of the program. Now I will go over the procedure that you will go through.
The first task we will put you one by one in a crowded room. You will then have to tell us who is watching you. There can be one person watching you or more than that.
The second task you will have to spot a target of interest that we will let you know who it is. Your job will be to identify them and make sure you aren't spotted by them. They won't know its you, so they will be blinded by that information.
and finally the third task, your job will be to eliminate an android without him spotting you or seeing where you are coming from. Any questions?"
No one had spoke and all had understood the rules.
"Good, only ten of you will be selected and the others will be thrown out of the program."
A few years had passed and the 18 year old Yangcong was now being prepared and ready for his first mission. He would working for a tuffle council member and being a 'personal guard' for him as he made his way to a small city. As they sat inside a horse carriage, the tuffle council member looked at Yangcong and smiled.
"Is it your first time as a personal escort for a council member?"
Yangcong had shifted his eyes to the man and smirked as he folded his arms across his chest.
"No sir, I have done many escorts for both sides. Many would think I am from a mercenary faction, but I serve under House Joki."
"House Joki, I see, they are one of the strongest Houses in this region."
"That's right."
"And if you don't mind me asking, what is your stance in terms of the war effort between the tuffles and saiyans?"
"I don't have a particular standing since i'm a hybrid. We hybrids tend to be indifferent about the whole matter."
"Do you believe it will end soon?"
"Tuffles have technology that keeps advancing as the years pass, while the saiyans are left to search elsewhere or from rogue tuffles that will sell or trade for it. It's all politics and if you ask me, this is a senseless war.
House Joki for instance, doesn't care for the war effort since we are a House. No matter if the tuffles win the war, the Houses wouldn't be disbanded and just claim allegiance to the new order. Houses only care for local politics not a galactic one. Even so, we have our own problems more or less when it comes to this war effort. Though most Houses don't involve themselves with the galactic politics."
"I see.."
They had arrived at the council meeting and the tuffle councilor had turned to face Yangcong.
"You can wait here, this will be a private meeting and will only take an hour."
"Alright, that's fine by me."
As the tuffle councilor had turned around, Yangcong had slipped in a recording device into his robe pocket. As he entered the place and had his meeting, Yangcong was listening in and recording the information via scouter. As the meeting had ended, the councilor had arrived back and Yangcong was now pressed up against the carriage and had his arms folded.
"Back already?"
"Ah yes, it was much quicker than expected. Only thirty minutes. I hope you weren't too bored over here."
"I just admired the purple trees here."
As they headed back to the councilor's main city. An ambush had taken place and the guards along with Yangcong had left the carriage and the councilor was now standing behind Yangcong. The ambushers had quickly eliminated the guards without hesitation and Yangcong had now turned his direction towards the councilor.
"Well, looks like you're outnumbered now."
Yangcong had looked to his fellow squad members and walked away from the group.
"Make sure the body is erased and this carriage. I have information that I have to report back to the Captain."
The squad members had understood and the case was closed for his first mission. Being a spy always had its risked and rewards.
continuing on the years he was now in House Joki's estate. Lord Joki had a surprise for him and he couldn't wait to tell him about it.
"I have a mission for you. It seems like another House is doing business with another. They both are Lords trying to work together to plot my downfall. I need you to kill the invited guest Lord. Doing so will further help our cause."
Yangcong understood and was ready.
A new suit and this time around, his hair was groomed to where he looked more modern and well kept than he had previously before. He came downstairs and stood next to the other three house workers and one of the royal guards being in front of them and finally speaking since all of them were now here.
"This dinner is very important to our Lord. The deal breaker for House Rekage and House Morkov is the upmost importance for today. If anything goes wrong today, your heads are on the line. So let's make our Lord proud today. Now you each have a task that the Lord has personally assigned you."
He handed them each a piece of paper and Yangcong's paper read "Waiter". The guest had arrived and all of them were greeted appropriately to their titles. Yangcong having served as a right hand of the Lord, knew the terms and terminology when addressed such royals. The guest looked at the saiyan quite oddly, since it wasn't normal for his kind to be servants. As he poured one of the advisors a very expensive wine, the advisor had looked towards the direction of Yangcong.
"Mr Yangcong? right? if I may ask, you served under the Saiyan Military before?"
"That's right, I served as a delivery man."
The room started to burst out of laughter, so much so that the advisor had tipped the man.
"My word, I never knew a saiyan to be a comedian."
Yangcong had smirked and had moved on to the next guest. The guest Lord had looked to the other Lord and smiled.
"Where on Kami did you find this man?"
The Lord kept his composure and continued the lie.
"He was one of the mercenaries that blew up that planet that I told you about. I tracked him down and hired him into the House."
The guest Lord's eyes had widen in mere shock.
"Ah, is that where he had received his comedy skills from? My word I would have never guessed it in all of a million you know."
The guest Lord then began to think about it after rubbing his chin.
"That is pretty strange that his duties are a butler? His power level seems to guess that he's more built for fighting."
The Lord smirked and simply shrugged his shoulders.
"He's not only a butler, but he's a royal guard as well, disguised as a butler."
The guest Lord seemed even more impressed.
"You know, that is very smart. I never thought to have undercover guards when traveling about or even in my own palace. I can tell we are going to have a good time together."
The wine had ran out and Yangcong headed back to the kitchen. After searching the counters, he just couldn't find it.
"Where is the wine?"
One of the tuffles that was busy and rushing the food order had overlooked his shoulder to spot a wondered worker.
"Yes, you will have to go down those stairs in the cellar. It's in the cabinet case, You can't miss it."
Yangcong going downstairs and shaking his head, ultimately frustrated that he was made to look like some type of royal guard to the guest, along with everyone laughing at his heroic deed. As the automatic lights had turned on, he looked around and at the corner of his eye, he spotted a rat licking a green substance on the ground. After seconds later, the rat had twitched and dying on the spot. He looked to where the green liquid had came from and it was from the sewer drain that was close to the rat. He headed over to the liquid and began to wipe the green liquid with a paper towel and stuffing it in his plastic gloves. He then headed to the wine cabinet case and picking up the bottle of wine. He started to hear the approach of footsteps and it was non other than Viper who was shocked to see Yangcong down here.
"Ah, I didn't expect to see you down here?"
Yangcong placing the wine bottle on the silver plate.
"I came here to get more wine for the guest."
Viper had chuckled and placing both his hands to his hips and shook his head as he headed straight to the opened wine cabinet and opening another bottle from it, drinking some of it.
"Ah finally learning your place in the world huh? Hehehe for shame."
Yangcong brushed him off and shook his head as he walked back up the steps. Viper had waved him away as he continued to drink the wine. As he was now upstairs, he looked at the tired and exhausting tuffle chef who was knee deep in sweat. The tuffle looked exhausted and Yangcong took the opportunity to casually bumped into him and casually impacting his elbow onto the tuffles' neck. Knocking him out momentarily and Yangcong pulling out the paper towel green liquid and squeezing it into the cooking dish that the tuffle was almost finished with. Afterwards he burned the paper towel to ashes, along with the gloves he wore. Grabbing a new pair and finally waking the tuffle up from the floor.
"Hey hey! What are you doing sleeping on the ground? We have the Lord guest remember?"
The tuffle chef woke up with a second wind and got to his duty.
"Ah yes right sorry. Um, go tell them that the food will take a few more minutes!"
Yangcong coming back with the wine and placing it on the table. The guest Lord looked to Yangcong with a drunken face.
"Hey hey, look who it is. It's the comedian saiyan!"
Yangcong giving the man a fake smile and serving him more wine since he had requested it by placing it in front of him.
"I hope you are enjoying the wine and the food will be coming out shortly."
The man nodded and the other two tuffles that were there, heard the message and headed straight to the kitchen where they began to get ready to get the food. Yangcong stood there with the wine in his silver plate and about that time, the food was coming out and it smelled as lovely as ever. The drunken advisor who was the most drunk out of his mind, began to dig into the food with high intense speed. Within seconds, his body began to twitched to the point where he collapsed to the ground and finally dying on the spot. The royal guards had rushed in, everyone stood from their seats in shock, and the Lord was pissed. The dinner was cancelled and another meeting was now taken placed. It involved the three houseworkers and Yangcong. The Lord had his index finger curled and to his upper lip as he began pacing, with so much anger in his look and body, he looked to the four of them.
"What the hell happened!!"
The chef was mainly being stared at due to him being the cook.
"I have no idea sir, I have cooked it the way I have cooked it before!"
The Lord looked to the Chef in anger and the chef tried to put blame on Yangcong.
"Why am I the suspect here? What about him! He just got here?!"
The Lord had been reminded of this and he focused his attention on Yangcong.
"I served the wine not the food. So how am I blamed for this? He didn't die because of the wine, everyone had drank the wine and all were fine. It's the food you served that caused all this. If I had cooked the food and served it, I would understand why the Lord would look at me."
The Lord had refocused his attention back at the tuffle Chef, and without even having evidence at all, agreed with Yangcong ultimately. The chef was executed and the guest Lord was told what had happened. Later on that night, Yangcong was in his quarters and as he finished taking his shower and looking at the mirror, all he could think about was the mission at hand.
The next few days had passed and Yangcong was in the living room and cleaning the wine glasses one by one. Viper had shown up and planted his butt onto the leather arm rest chair built for one person.
"Don't mind if I seat here and watch ya?"
Yangcong looking over his shoulder and simply responded to the man.
"I don't mind at all."
Viper leaned the chair back and added the recliner, resting his feet up and looking at Yangcong now upside down.
"I heard about the execution of the tuffle Chef. Seems to me that I guess tuffles can be monsters as well as saiyans."
Yangcong continued his duties and looking over his shoulder.
"Not everyone is a saint."
Viper was going to do something nasty as before, however the Lord had stepped into the room and looked over at Yangcong and then at Viper.
"Viper, leave the room."
Viper getting up from his chair and leaving, the Lord then focused his attention back at Yangcong who had briefly stopped cleaning the glasses as he saw the Lord looking at him with intent to speak with him.
"I want to know, if you would like to be my right hand. After the guest Lord had shown an interest in your strength. I need that strength to help my House."
Yangcong turned to look at the Lord.
"I would but, the tuffle and saiyan war is still ongoing at the moment. I was hired to make sure that your protection secured."
"Please, I need your power to help my House. I will double the payment."
"I would be honored."
A few hours had passed and Yangcong was now a royal guard and his main task was interior duty of the House. He was now working with the royal guard that had also hated Viper and his name is Salat. Salat and Yangcong would walk down the long and narrow corridor.
"Hehe, I'm glad you are a royal guard than a housekeeper. After hearing your story, I would have done the same thing."
Yangcong wore his new saiyan armor uniform with pride and looking over the direction of Salat.
"I would have chosen to help the war effort instead of being here."
Salat had decided to switch topics and back to the main task.
"Our job isn't just walking around idly by, it's to protect from assassinations and internal spies."
Yangcong had raised a brow.
"Internal Spies? Have you had any?"
Salat had chuckled and shook his head in almost disbelief.
"Why do you think the house keepers are a small few now? Those who tried to escape and spies."
"I see, and what does Viper do for this House?"
That name had given Salat a sour taste in his mouth.
"Looking at his armor may make it seem like he's important and can do whatever he wants. But truth be told, he's just hired help. The only reason he's close with the Lord is because him and his father served together long ago. Other than that, that piece of shit holds no true authority around here. Once I find something on him, i'm going to make sure he never steps foot in here again."
Viper had turned the corner and his jaw had dropped with mere shock.
"WHAT THE?! What the hell is this vermin wearing a soldiers uniform?"
Salat had stepped in between the both of them and with his bulky presence known, he pushed Viper softly.
"Fuck off, he's one of us now. Unless you want to end up on the Lords bad side, try something."
Viper had clenched his fist in frustration and walking down the corridor past them. This brought a concern to Yangcong as they continued their walk.
"What if he tries to do something drastic?"
Salat chuckled for a moment.
"He wouldn't be that stupid. The Lord had ultimately chosen you because of your strength. the Lord accepts everyone good or bad to serve him. Anyways, your duties today are to patrol the rooftops of the palace. After that, you will get a break and then off duty."
Yangcong nodded and headed to the roof, where he started his patrol. Another soldier was present and looking at Yangcong, he was surprised to see him. Yangcong continued to do his duty until he was on break and sitting in the break room where he sat and ate his meal. About that time, a robe man had entered the room. He was the Lords advisor and he casually stood near the door.
"I wasn't expecting you here."
The advisor had clearly known and played it off. Yangcong looked at the man and continued to eat.
"Well i'm here eating."
The advisor casually walked over to Yangcong and standing on the opposite end of the table from him.
"I have worked with the Lord for years and out of all the criminals he has brought here into the palace, this is the first he has ever brought a man who is a saiyan military infantry soldier."
Yangcong looked at the advisor and raised a brow.
"Is there a reason the Lord doesn't have his own personal army from the Saiyan Military?"
The advisor pulling out a coin and placing it on the table.
"Loyalty to the saiyan military had always been a factor. Sure you may get some who will betray the military, but you won't have an army. Coin is what our Lord pays in. The criminals he gets, all can be bought with coin. Criminals who have nowhere to go, who want to make a living, come to this House."
"And if someone pays the criminal or criminals with a higher amount?"
"You would think that would work, but throughout my years, I have never seen it happen. They all know that our Lord will always double or triple the amount. So their loyalty will always stay true."
"So why are you here telling me all this?"
"Because out of all the people here, you aren't here for money at all. Just security from your own House and those who are after you. I feel when the day comes where your House will fall, your ties to here will fade. Most who come here wanted to come, you came here because you were forced to. In time, we will see where your loyalties lie Mr Yangcong."
The advisor had grabbed the coin and walked out, having Yangcong sit there and finishing his meal.
a few days had passed and now Yangcong stood at the main hexagon shaped balcony that had overlooked the palace. His arms to his back and a few soldiers behind him, the Lord had stepped inside and now stood beside Yangcong, waving off the other guards to leave them.
“Yangcong, I know this is a delicate subject to ask you. But I would like to make you a permanent soldier and the head of the guards. I have other Lords after me now more than ever. The criminals that once were on my side have faded with time. The coin isn’t what they want anymore and the times are changing rapidly. The Saiyan military is growing stronger and not even my House can do anything about it.”
Yangcong had shifted his eyes to the Lord and kneeled before him.
“I am grateful for the offer, unfortunately I cannot accept it. Commander Garrick has sent word for needing me. I would be gone for some time.”
The Lord was pissed, so much so that he felt like he was being abandoned by Yangcong. He felt that if Yangcong left, he would have lost a valuable strong asset in his House. Going off emotion, he tried to pull out his sword that was concealed within his cane. A blur motion had happened and Yangcong now stood behind the Lord and twisting his arm to the point where it broke. The cane was dropped and the Lord had collapsed to the ground.
“You fucking traitor! How dare you lay a hand on me!”
Yangcong had smirked and planting his boot into the man’s stomach.
“I betrayed you since the death of the tuffle Chef. He didn’t poison the advisor, I did.”
Yangcong had walked away and the Lord was so much fumed with the loss of his previous right hand, that he tried to stab Yangcong again with his other arm, only to have his own head sliced off. Yangcong wanting to make sure that no one founded out that it was him that did it, he blasted the palace into ruins along with everyone else. He left and joined Garrick and now enlisted back into the military with his long time friend. A year now had passed...
Yangcong had arrived at his destination, summoned personally to Garrick's chambers not thirty minutes prior. He knocked out of respect, the door creaking open as the faint glimpse of a fluttering cape was visible out on the balcony. "Come in," A gruff voice rang out, prompting the spy to step forward and make his way over. It was silent for a minute, the much larger and imposing man staring out over the man-made wasteland of Vegeta. Sighing for a moment, Yangcong was offered a canned beer - not quite the drink one would expect a royal AND a general to indulge in.
"Forgive me if I'm mistaken but I'm relatively sure pregnancies only last around nine months," Garrick said, a tinge of humor evident on his voice. "A year is quite a long time to be gone on parental leave you know."
Yangcong took another sip of his drink, eyes drifting to the horizon as he found it difficult to face his commander directly. "You know what happened previously." It was a statement, plain and simple.
"And from that you caused no shortage of headaches for me," Garrick responded idly as he crushed the first can in his palm. "House Joki were searching for you. The tale of a child being there combined with your previous request... Well, I had assumed the worst and it seemed I had been right." His head shook slowly, lingering sadness visible on the man's face. "Blood purists like him are always quick to explode their tempers and even quicker to destroy those they see as inferior. While other Houses made hold similar views, his was of the upmost extreme. Political capital and military might made it difficult to openly move against that man however. You're lucky all of our kind was so preoccupied with the war that snuffing the investigation was even possible."
Indeed, it was something of a miracle that Yangcong stood before Garrick not in chains at a military trial, but an active agent. "Yet I can't say I can fully condone outright murdering him. You may avoid official punishment, but as payment for your crime... You shall be handed one of our more dangerous missions. Ironically that doesn't make it the most important, but I find it necessary to establish a link here anyway. Houses Whistlebelle and Stoneyork, I presume you know of them."
Sensing a shift in the conversation as Garrick moved towards the room, Yangcong slid into a chair - lighting up a cigarette in a puff of flame. "Yes. It seems they are at odds, fighting a battle not on an open field but in the shadows. They hold great power now and their rivalry is dangerous for Saiyan unity."
Garrick grunted, placing his crushed drink on the table as he took a seat opposite of Yangcong. "You'll be infiltrating House Whistlebelle by any means necessary. This is your punishment... And a request by a friend." Yangcong's lips tugged up into a smirk, puffing out a ring of smoke. "As you say, sir, I shall fulfill my punishment... For you, and for Vegeta."
Yangcong found his way to the Western bars which were much different here than that of other regions on Planet Plant, most noticeable was how there was very few of House Belle's forces within them. Yangcong could easily spot one of their soldiers considerably that their uniforms were no secret. He sat two seats at the bar counter from a Lt and ordered himself a whisky which was considered to be the strongest this planet has to offer. The Lt took notice at the order and at the man's severe burns. He simply chuckled as he realized that Yangcong's power level was equal to that of an elite soldier of the Saiyan military.
"You are a war vet I take it?" He lifted up his glass of vodka and Yangcong did the same to him in return. Yangcong nodded in response and casually drank to it.
"Yes sir, I served under Commander Garrick during my time as an active member. I took an honorary medical discharge ten years back because of my injuries."
The Lt was impressed as his eyes grew fixed together and slightly raised. He scoffed, "I bet you still have that war dog fight in you huh?"
Yangcong chuckled and took another sip.
"You know how we saiyans are, always ready to matter what."
The man was curious more than ever, since he had never seen such burn marks to that degree before.
"You served under Garrick, I heard he is one of the best Commanders to work under. Which war effort did you serve in?"
Yangcong shifted his eyes back at the man after downing the first round of whisky and ordering a second.
"Operation Annihilation. Which is how I received these burn marks. A tuffle demolitions expert I must say did this."
The Lt shook his head in almost disbelief and a slight chuckle added. "Those tuffle bastards sure make for good scientist and soldiers I must say despite the power gap."
Yangcong chuckled and started to drink his second round.
"If you don't mind me asking, what House do you serve?"
The Lt was surprised at first, but then he wasn't considering that most military didn't really tend to focus on Houses at all since all of their time was spent on the Galactic aspect of things.
"House WhistleBelle, we are currently the strongest House in the Western region and our rivals are the StoneYork."
Yangcong had chuckled and shook his head even more.
"Ah Stoneyork? This reminds me of the joke that the Military had always said about that House, how does it go again? He eats so much that..."
Lt had caught on the joke and finished it.
"You wonder how his army got so BIG to begin with."
They both had laughed a teary eye and the Lt had lost track of time as he looked at his scouter for a brief moment as a message had popped up.
"I am having so much fun that I forgot that I had to be somewhere. It was nice having a chat with you. I'm sorry, what was your name again?"
Yangcong rose to his seat and brought his hand out to shake the Lt.
"Yangcong, Sir."
"Lt Perets."
The next few days had passed and Yangcong spending his time mostly at the bar and at the same time getting a hotel that was just down the street from the bar. It had paid off since the Lt had showed up again. Yangcong sat at the bar counter again and the Lt had noticed him.
"Hey, it's nice seeing you again. The war vet haha."
Yangcong had called over the bartender.
"Order myself the whisky and my friend here his vodka and put it on my tab."
The LT calmly patted his shoulder and sitting next to him.
"You didn't need to do that. haha"
Yangcong chuckled as they both were given their drinks.
"Nonsense, no matter if you're from a House or the Military, you still are serving whether it's local or galactic."
The Lt agreed and nodded, as they both cling their glasses together.
"You know I was so interested in your War status, that I had looked you up and for some reason I couldn't find any records of you serving in that War Effort or your medical records?"
Yangcong chuckled and simply shrugged as he took a sip.
"I'm really not surprised at all my name wasn't mentioned. That operation doesn't include undercover operatives and medical records aren't disclosed if one is in the field of Undercover work."
The man had raised a brow.
"Your an undercover operative?"
Yangcong shifted his eyes towards the man after finishing down his drink.
"Not in the regular tradition of a spy. Undercover as in, I was sent not to gather intel which that was what a spy is used for, but as an enforcer so that the enemy believes that they are lower numbered soldiers than what the reality is. Those type of enforcers are considered undercover operatives and their main goal is to make the enemy believe they have the advantage."
The Lt looked to Yangcong with a curious stare.
"And you served under Commander Garrick?" He drank from his glass.
"That's right." Yangcong ordering another round.
The Lt stopping the bartender and raising back to his feet.
"No no, that won't be necessary, I have a meeting to get too. It was nice seeing you again."
After some days had passed, the Lt had came back and sat next to Yangcong once again.
"I have to apologize for my behavior the other day. Commander Garrick was able to verify your story and released your record to me. I just had to make sure you were the real deal. Many people lie about their military status."
Yangcong taking a sip of the whisky as it came to the counter.
"It's alright, I'm use to it by now. We under covers don't get a lot of respect compared to the infantry men."
The Lt nodded and an idea had came up in his mind.
"I know you are retired but, I would like to bring you in for House Belle. She needs strong soldiers to aid her during this time period."
The Lt came to the bars due to the growing feud between both Houses and knew that if both of them wanted to declare a civil war and destroy one another, then he feared that his House would lose. Yangcong tugged his lips into a smirk.
"I would be honored to serve your House, if they have this whisky."
The Lt has laughed.
"But of course we do. Come now."
Yangcong and the Lt had arrived at House Belle and the Lord had already spotted the new arrival before he had entered the gates. She wondered who this man was and now standing at the lobby, the Lords royal guards had arrived at the lobby first to inspect. They wore similar attire to the Lt but slightly different in the design choice. The Lord had raised a brow as he stood over the ledge of the second floor and next to the spiraling staircase.
"Lt Perets, who do we have here?"
Lt Perets kneeled before the Lord before rising back up.
"A former Saiyan military soldier who served under Commander Garrick ten years ago. I brought him here in hopes of changing the civil war effort against House Stoneyork."
The Lord now was within eye level of Yangcong and casually walking around him briefly.
"Your injuries, would they hinder you from a fight?"
"No." Yangcong had chuckle. He swayed her head at her royal guards and they immediately had sprung into action, the first jumping into the air and attempting to slice at Yangcong's head, the other tried to come from his right side and attempted an attack on his stomach. Yangcong had lifted his left finger and blocked the sword attack which was intended for his head, cracking it in the process. The other attack was caught with his hand in a tight grip. With one violent yell, he released a bit of his power and both the guards flew away from their weapons and impacting the wall and the other at the ground. Both were dazed by the attack and their weapons on the ground and Yangcong now stood with his arms to his back. The Lord was rather impressed and smirk.
"I hear you did undercover enforcer work."
Yangcong nodded and stood at a parade rest.
"That's right. When we needed to trick the tuffle forces that they were less of us on the field. We would pose as locals and waited to ambush them."
The Lord had her hand to her chin and lightly rubbed it as she met eye level with Yangcong after walking around him.
"And why didn't you go back to the war efforts?"
Yangcong briefly coughed into his fist before going back into place.
"As you know a military career is always active and depending your role, like mine was, I was sent to different planets all the time for months up to years. The weather conditions along with the food wasn't so good on my health nor my injuries. Foreign food wasn't always a delicacy and being much older than I was ten years ago, you feel the affects of your age start to kick in. Those who serve in a House, tend to stick to civil matters."
The Lord finally went back and stood next to her royal guards.
"Give him the guest bedroom, and Yangcong, your royal guard uniform will be there tomorrow morning. I have an assignment for you first thing. So be ready."
The assignment had already started, deep in a cave to the Eastern region of planet Vegeta where the Stoneyork's main region is. The cave had appeared as ancient as ever. From the cob webs that have grown overtime, to the vines all around the walls and floors. One would make the automatic guess that this place was once a laboratory of some sorts. Machinery pipes and the works were underneath the vines and making his way to the center of the cave where a big open section was now shown from the traditional narrow and steep type of environment. Yangcong had scanned the entire section before him as automatic lights had turned on. He was sent here to find any research which would lead to a new bio project that the Stoneyorks had been working on. From what he had guessed with the long term abandoned, maybe perhaps nothing was of the sort. However he carefully looked over the machines, no dust seemed to be placed there, almost like continued work had been going on here as of recent. He stepped ahead onto the computer before him, it had required a password in order to access it. He had lightly tapped onto his yellow scouter and had got into contact with the Lt.
"You were right about searching the caves. Out of the five I have searched, this is the only one that shows signs of recent activity. The problem is, a password is needed to access it."
The Lt wasn't worried about it, as he was close within the vicinity.
"Give me a second."
A few seconds had passed and it had paid off, the Lt had gotten back on the comms.
"Just hit the enter key."
Yangcong did just that and he had bypassed the security measure. He then had searched folder after folder about their journal log and finally, spotted the message about their Bio project. The computer had shut down and a tuffle scientist had walked in, angry and carrying with him would be his ki rifle. He aimed his rifle at him and Yangcong had responded by placing his arms up in the air. He began to slowly back away from the computer.
"Who the fuck are you, this is Stoneyork Territory. You better have a good reason to be here!"
"Calm down, I was hired by your Lord to be here."
The man took a step forward.
"I would have been alerted of a reason change. You're a bad liar."
Yangcong had blurred from his position and before he could make contact with the man from behind, the scientist quickly turned around and fired upon his right burnt shoulder. Causing Yangcong to grunt in pain and collapse on his back.
"I'm no ordinary tuffle scientist you saiyan worm!"
The tuffle scientist appearing to be a bit younger than Yangcong in age.
"You clearly are a fast one. I have to give you that."
The tuffle wasn't amused and pointed his rifle at Yangcong's chest. Any second he was going to fire it as he stepped away and pointed the rifle at his head. Yangcong had closed his eyes and placed his head down in shame. A knife was thrown straight into the rifle's barrel and an explosion had happened. The tuffle had flown back and hitting his back against the wall. Some blood had escaped his mouth and another knife met his neck before the light from his eyes had escaped. A shadowy figure had now approached Yangcong from behind and Yangcong had got to his feet as he panted shortly.
"Who are you?"
The woman placing her potato shack material hoody down and revealed her brown dusted color long hair that flowed over her shoulders. She gave a cocky smirk as she placed her hands to her hips.
"My name is Nashua."
Traveling through the now long and narrow cave which required a single file line, Nashua was ahead and the both of them felt eased for a brief moment since they couldn't detect any other organic life form within the cave.
"Yangcong is your name right? I have never heard of your name before, so I take it you aren't from this region?"
She casually looked over her shoulder and he nodded.
"That's right, I am from another region, most notably House Morkov."
Her eyes began to raise a brow.
"House Morkov? Ah, I know that House. Unfortunately the latest report is that it went up in ruins with no witnesses. So what was your business over there?"
Yangcong continued to speak, sliding his hands in his pocket.
"I was a common merchant just passing by."
She giggled and shook her head in disagreement.
"You expect me to believe someone of your power is a common merchant?"
Yangcong decided to flip the script, and gave her quite a stern look.
"And what about you? those common clothes isn't fooling anyone. Anyone who carries daggers for weapons are known assassins."
She turned around and stuck her tongue out.
"Not all saiyans are dumb I guess."
Yangcong spotted her tail wrapped around her waistline.
"But, you are a saiyan as well!"
"Yea, but i'm not dumb!"
Yangcong shook his head in disbelief and sighed.
"What are you doing all the way out here?"
Nashua having her hands on the back of her head.
"Well I came to find that bastard scientist and now his project Bio android."
"What do you want with the both of them?"
"Well, I was captured and enslaved by Stoneyork."
Yangcong's eyes had widen for a brief moment.
"But, it's nearly impossible to escape a slaves life from a House."
"Looks to me that this common merchant knows more than what he has lead me to believe."
Yangcong simply sighed.
"I was a slave to house Morkov and was able to escape."
"How so?"
"I worked up the ranks and became their Head guard."
"Ah, so it was you who eliminated that House then."
"That's right."
"Well I was so close to killing Lord York, but he is always surrounded by guards."
"I can help you with that."
"Well help me with this bio android and then we will talk."
They both had arrived at another open space but this time, water was at the halfway mark of the open area. They both had sensed a mysterious ki energy from within the waters. Nashua pulling out her blades and Yangcong uncovering his arms from his pockets and placing them behind his back.
"What? No weapons?"
"Just stay on your guard."
"Don't lecture me old man!"
She jumped into the air and spotting a figure within the bodies of water as she hurled one of her blades at it. Striking it and the bio android humanoid octopus escaping the body of water and yelling with a violent screech. Before she could throw her other blade, the octopus sending his tentacles straight at her and around her wrist. This caused her to drop her blade and now she was bounded by her legs and arms, stretched wide opened from her torso. Yangcong revealing both his arms now and immediately fired a strong ki beam straight at the monster, ripping apart his tentacles and ultimately damaging his body enough to where it had collapsed to the ground. Nashua removing the tentacles from her body and then walking beside Yangcong as they both towered the creature.
"For such a weak creature, they expected this bio android to pose a threat?"
Nashua looked over the body and folded her arms.
"Thats not the bio android."
"What."
The ground beneath them started to crack open and larger tentacles had emerged and wrapping them around Yangcong's body and sending a violent shock wave through his veins. The strong surge was more than enough to cause Yangcong to grunt in pain and fueling his anger. Nashua however had a different plan and as she threw her power ball into the air, her eyes caught it and her body had transformed into an ape. She grabbed the tentacles of the kraken and snapping it in half and with a strong punch, she destroyed the kraken's brain and skull. After doing all this, she reverted back to her regular size. Yangcong was in a daze and finally became aware at what had happened.
"So you used your ape abilities to best him I see."
She brought her hand to meet his and lifted him up.
"This is the second time I saved you now."
"So about the offer made earlier."
"You can come help me kill the Lord."
They both left the cave and headed their separate ways until the time came for the assault on the palace.
Yangcong was back at the Belle's palace and stood in front of the Lord in her throne room where she waited for the information.
"I was able to get rid of the scientist and Bio android."
He would toss over he bio android's head. After examining it, she looked towards him.
"What do you think we should do in terms of advancement?"
Yangcong looked to the Lord after rising up from his kneeled position.
"I have an acquaintance that wants to kill the Lord."
The Lord had raised a brow.
"Who might this acquaintance be?"
"I ran into her while in the cave, an assassin named Nashua."
"Can she be trusted?"
"From my dealings with her, yes."
A royal guard then had stepped forward, the Lord took notice and looked over her shoulder.
"Nashua the assassin is a bit of a gamble my Lord. She has taken out a dozen of our troops and Stoneyork's troops on both sides."
The Lord looking to Yangcong with this new bit of information.
"What do you think on the matter?"
"If things turn south, I will take care of it."
The Lt then chipped in as he stood next to the royal guard.
"I suggest we perform a night assault from the back of the palace. The less members the better. I will go, along with Yangcong, a royal guard, and Nashua the assassin."
The Lord rubbed her chin.
"Four person squad. The palace is rather big with heavy guards on patrol."
The Lt chipped in.
"We will have a platoon of troops ready in the forrest if things go south."
The Lord had a grin from cheek to cheek.
"Excellent."
Yangcong was just out of reach from the three others and speaking to Garrick with his scouter.
"We are going to assault the StoneYork Palace, it may seem risky, but I am confident on our ability to achieve victory."
Garrick agreed with Yangcong's decision and allowed him to continue. Yangcong and the three others headed straight to the back entrance of the palace. Assassinations were done quick and silently with Nashua's help. As they were rushing through and through eliminating the guards. The royal guard that had came with them was injured and killed from the assaults that were happening. As they continued their advancement, it began to take a toll as the incoming guards was building more and more. The outward assault had then taken place, aiding them and buying them enough time to kill the guards that were on their tail. As they reached the Lords throne room and before the doors, the LT was struck with a javelin to his chest from the Lords right hand as he guarded the double doors to the throne room. He died instantly and Yangcong and Nashua were left to fend for themselves.
Nashua performing a run up the wall type of fashion before sending a quick kick towards the right hand's cheek. Causing him to stagger and drop his sword in the process. Yangcong meanwhile was able to slide himself underneath the righthand's chin and slamming his elbow straight at his chest. Causing him to fly backwards and straight into the throne room with a grunting pain noise. Before he could get up, one of Nashua's daggers struck the man's throat. The Lord was in complete shock and Nashua placing her arm in front of Yangcong, wanting to fight the Lord all by herself. As the two went toe to toe, it seemed like an even match, but their tricks against one another was growing dull and the climax had then happened, a sword struck Nashua's stomach and then tossing her to the side like garbage. The Lord looked to Yangcong like a mad man and pointed his blade at him.
"I don't know who the fuck you are, trying to enter my palace!"
Yangcong smirked and looked to the Lord.
"Let's just say there is a higher power involved in all of this."
The Lord didn't want to hear any of it and started to do battle with Yangcong and the now tired Lord struggled to even lay a finger on Yangcong, as Yangcong was quick to disarm him and injure the Lords knee rather quickly with Nashua's dagger. The Lord was now paralyzed to even move and the palace was now being taken over. As the surviving few royal guards had made it, with the Lord herself. She towered over the Lord and brought her blade to his neck.
"Now, I will be the one to rule both regions!"
Yangcong had rushed over to the now dying Nashua.
"You did good. I won't ever forget your bravery and courage."
He closed her eyes and she then had passed. He walked over to the Lord that now looked at him with a joy on her face.
"You helped secure this palace! I will appoint you as my right hand!"
"Thank you."
As she turned around to look at guards, Yangcong stabbing the Lord with his full power straight at her heart and piercing it through the other side. The guards were in shocked and the Lord was already killed instantly. Before they could react, Garrick and his men had entered the Palace like a swat team and killing the others in the process. He stood beside Yangcong and smirked.
"Excellent work, killing two birds with one stone. There is going to be a reward for your heroism."
Yangcong's body was a veritable patchwork of bandages. His right eye was wrapped shut, arm stilled in a sling, and a large oversized black cloak draped down the side of his body. Standing on the balcony of his own private quarters, the aging man took a long drink of his cheap beer - the same stock that Commander Garrick ever so rarely tapped into. Picking up the sounds of approaching footsteps from the hallway, he turned and settled a single hand on a hidden blade as the door opened, a generic Saiyan Soldier standing at attention.
"The ceremony is to begin, sir."
He melded into the crowd quite well. He was a plain looking man after all, and aside from the obvious injuries Yangcong was not out of place in the slightest. It didn't take terribly long for a large imposing Saiyan to settle next to him clad in white-red armor.
"Not quite an event I'd think to see you at, Yangcong."
The voice belonged to Garrick of course, the man dressed in his 'formal' armor, carrying a nondescript can of Vegetan ale which he sipped at irregularly. Yangcong nodded, silent for a moment as the ceremony went on.
"I'm retiring from being a spy."
Garrick hummed, scratching his chin for a moment but looking not all that surprised.
"Well you've earned it. Your age finally catching up or is it the injuries?"
Yangcong shook his head lightly.
"No, I'd rather spend my remaining time training the next generation of warriors and actually devote myself to serving our military with pride rather than skulking about in the pretense of serving some stuffy nobles directly."
Garrick laughed heartily.
"Well I certainly hope that last part doesn't apply to me, eh? ...Ah, but to tell you something. My wife is pregnant now."
-
Yangcong gave his friend a genuine smile, sipping his own drink in return. Not much was known about the woman Garrick had been courting. Most considered her to be a simple concubine of sorts to pass the time before a man of his prestige found a real match in royalty to settle down with. Yet even to Yangcong, she was a mystery.
"Congratulations, I'm sure they will be strong and healthy."
The ceremony continued on, and soon enough Garrick would officially be given his birthright title of General. Such was the way of the Bloodthorne family.
"I'll see you later, Yangcong."
"Of course."
Garrick moved to the stage, the former spy slinking away from the proceedings towards his true destination for tonight - the graves of Saiyans with unrecovered bodies. He sighed, voice straining a bit as the man knelt before a certain headstone.
"Oh, my Yakone... You would have been five years old now."
The next phase had commence and three students was given a mentor saiyan. As the list got shorter and shorter, only three students were left due to their mentor Yangcong not being there. Malina, who was a red head pigtailed saiyan, started to fold her arms in frustration, the 18 year old was furious that everyone got to see their mentors right there and then, while they had to wait.
"WHERE THE HELL IS HE?! EVERYONE ELSE HAD SHOWN UP ON TIME!"
The loud mouth reckless woman had fire in her, passion, so much so that she was considered the scariest of the group. Next came Persik, blue haired mohawk saiyan that looked like he didn't even want to be there in the first place and had an uncaring vibe about him. The last student was Trava, a saiyan who had circular glasses on and a bowl cut. He didn't look strong but out of the three of them, he was. Yangcong had finally shown up, the three of them looked at him with shock. Malina's jaw had slightly dropped with a crazy look on her face.
("This has to be a joke. We get an injured saiyan as our trainer!")
Persik had scratched the back of his head.
("If I had known that this would of been my trainer I would of said something to Garrick")
Trava had snout coming from his nose as he fixed his glasses at the center of his face.
"Hi there, my name is Trava."
Yangcong looked at him and then the other two.
"My name is Yangcong."
All three of their jaws had dropped.
Malina had quickly rushed over to him and spotted the bandages covering his right eye. She stared at him face to face and spotted the hint of a red mark around his eye.
"It is you! You are the LordSlayer!"
Persik even though he had looked tough, he wasn't the smartest of the group.
"What the heck is a Lordslayer?"
Trava had stepped in, speaking in a nerdy type of tone.
"Well LordSlayer, is a title someone is given when they have assassinated a Lord. Though if he has killed more, I wonder wh-"
Persik had covered Trava's mouth so that he didn't bore him to death. Persik had approach Yangcong and eyed him with a serious glare.
"Lordslayer huh? You don't look that tough to me."
Yangcong had patted Malina's head and looked to the two others with a smirk.
"I have a special assignment for the three of ya! Meet me at the training grounds!"
Yangcong had vanished and the three of them headed down the hall towards the training grounds. Malina was jumping with joy, Persik had his arms behind his head, and Trava was looking up Yangcong record from his laptop. Malina looked to her partners and smiled.
"I can't believe we have been partner up with a legend!"
Persik wasn't impressed as he looked at her.
"Psh yea right! You kill one Lord and all of a sudden you are a hot shot! Just look at him! The old man barley even looks like he is forty."
Trava had looked to the two others, being on the opposite side of Persik.
"Actually to be more precise, Yangcong has killed Three Lords"
Persik's eyes had darted towards Trava.
"WHAT! THAT MUST BE SOME TYPE OF JOKE, GIVE ME THAT!"
Persik had taken the laptop from Trava and began to read Yangcong's file.
"Says here that his rank is official titled spy."
Malina had scratched her head.
"So he isn't a traditional soldier then? That means we have the odds on our side! We were trained specifically in the academy to fight!"
The three of them had finally arrived to the training grounds and Yangcong was eating an apple.
"Your lesson of the day is to beat me. Beat me and I will make you three my students."
Persik had cracked his knuckles and his neck.
"Say less!"
Persik had rushed straight at him, cocking his right arm back and attempted to deck him in the face with a right hook. Yangcong had stepped backwards and smacked Persik's face with his wooden cane, causing him to fly straight into the wall near him. Malina wasn't going to be shown up and she immediately jumped high into the air and performed as series of pink blast from her hands and tried to volley him with a barrage of them. Yangcong had slammed his cane to the ground, causing a red ki barrier to form in the process and protecting him from her attack. Trava on the other hand stood there terrified. Yangcong sending a straight ki blast at Trava, causing him to fly back and knock out in the process. This had surprised Yangcong since he didn't even put effort into it.
"I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU OLD MAN!"
Persik had came back and performed a barrage of fist straight at Yangcong, Yangcong using one arm to block all of his barrages as he kept walking backwards. Meanwhile Malina joined her partner and tried to kick him from the back. Yangcong had vanished and the both of them had impacted the other. Frustrated, Persik yelled at his teammate.
"WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING YOU IDIOT!"
"WHO YOU CALLING AN IDIOT YOU MOHAWK BLUE HAIR HEADED FREAK!"
"I'M THE FREAK? LOOK AT YOUR RED HAIR WHAT SAIYAN HAS RED HAIR!"
As much as Malina wanted to kill him, she had to calm herself. She locked his head into a headlock.
"Listen, he has previous injuries on his right side, if we body go for it, he won't be able to protect himself from us."
Persik had lit up with joy like it was Christmas.
"Your right. Lets get him."
The both of them had now flew straight to Yangcong and both of them were trying to strike him on his right side. Yangcong was quick enough to grab Malina with his left hand around her neck. Persik saw the opportunity to attempt to strike at his right side now, only to be grabbed by Yangcong's right arm around his neck with a tight grip.
"What... but how..."
Yangcong had sent the both of them to the ground and hurled a barrage of blast straight at them. Too injured to move, Yangcong had towered the both of them. Persik was so mad, he yelled.
"How the hell is that even possible! You are a spy! Not a soldier!"
Yangcong had smirked at him.
"How do you think I did my job as a spy so well and was able to kill three heads? Trickery and deception. Sometimes it's worth more than 100 strong men on your side."
Trava had finally awakened, and his ape like power had now uncovered and as he flew straight to Yangcong with no pupils in his eyes and a strong ki energy flowing around his body, he impacted his skull straight into Yangcong's body and sending him flying straight back into the wall. The power was so strong that it had shocked everyone and Yangcong had then raised to his feet and chuckled.
"Hehehe, good work. You three will officially start your missions tomorrow. get some rest."
Malina and Persik were excited, and Trava had now woken up to being confused and wondering what had happened. They both had hugged him and he accepted it even though he was clueless. As they headed back to their barracks, Yangcong had gone to his balcony and looked to the sky. Garrick had shown up drinking his beer and patted Yangcong on the back.
"So, are you happy that you got the three students?"
Yangcong had looked to Garrick with a serious stare.
"Tell me Garrick, did you know Trava is a bio android with Yakone's DNA?."
The next day had approach and Yangcong and his students were assigned their first mission, which was to locate a wanted Tuffle criminal. As they walked close together in the large scale forest, Yangcong kept his witts about him and not dropping his guard for a second. The kids however, are a different story. Malina was so excited with steam releasing from her ears.
"I am so excited! My first ever mission!"
Persik rolled his eyes and kept his hands behind his head.
"Yea yea, it's just a tuffle. Their race aren't a threat in the slightest."
Trava however was just doing his thing and using his laptop as they walked. Yangcong had interjected into their conversation as he let out a smirk.
"So you think tuffles aren't a threat huh? Their technology when it comes to weapons and all other electronics are advanced than ours."
Persik shook his head in disbelief.
"What the hell is their technology going to even do! I will blow them up!"
Yangcong patted the young man's head which messed up his mohawk.
"Thread lightly now, we are entering the illusionary forrest."
The trees had gone from bright green to a dusk purple. The three students were just amazed by it all, and Malina had looked to Yangcong with a joyful smile.
"Mr Yangcong, why do they call it the illusionary forrest?"
"I'm glad someone has taken an interest regarding history. The illusionary forrest isn't spiritually motivated. The tuffles had developed a device which cast illusions like this throughout the forest. It's to get unsuspected visitors to focus on things that really isn't there while they come out and attack you by surprise."
Trava would chip him as he raised his finger.
"Yes and their latest technology is called the 'Fuma Flame Project' Published by a famous tuffle scientist! Dr Zub!"
Persik had raised a brow as he fixed his messy hair.
"The Fuma what now?"
Yangcong had chipped in as he let out a confident smirk.
"The Fuma Flame Project was the only project that was allowed and accepted in one of the smaller cities that is run by tuffles. The others rejected it due to its destructive behavior."
Persik was now confused as he scratch his head.
"Now that doesn't make sense, why would we saiyans reject that?"
Yangcong looked too Persik with a stern look.
"The reason why we rejected it is because it can perform a mass genocide without a seconds notice. And with how things have been lately with the tuffles and the saiyans, it wouldn't be wise to allow it now."
As they continued to travel through the forrest, Yangcong had felt the presence of another being. He stepped ahead of the three and brought his arm in front of them to halt their movement. The four of them looked around and several ki blades were sent directly at Malina from behind. Yangcong was quick to throw himself in front of the blades as he grunted in frustration.
"Someone is out there, perform the formation that I have taught you three."
They each nodded, Malina hid herself in the trees in a crouch position, Persik had stood at the center of the forrest, and Trava throwing smoke all around them. The enemy had detected Persik at the center and went for him, a giant size tuffle with a large arm cannon as a replacement. He attempted to hurl it straight at Persik who immediately jumped out of the way. Pink ki blast were then coming straight from the back of the giant size tuffle and impacting his back severely as Malina was giving it all that she got. As the smoke cleared, Persik coming out and sending a straight barrage of fist at the tuffle who was struggling to keep up with his destructive and wild behavior. Trava coming from behind the tuffle and sending a straight volt of electricity straight through his entire back, causing him to collapse to the ground and knock out in the process.
Yangcong was impressed and clapped his hands at the three of them as they towered over the body.
"Excellent work my students."
Persik had crouched to the tuffle and looked up at Yangcong.
"Just what the hell is this? A tuffle?"
Yangcong looked to the gigantic man and had a serious look on his face.
"I am not sure yet."
Soon after, the gigantic man had awakened and was tied up to a tree.
"What the?"
Yangcong stepped forward and looked to the man and tapped his cane on the ground to get his attention to focus on him only.
"Where are you from tuffle?"
The gigantic man looked to him and had laughed.
"You must be Yangcong! I am so glad I get to meet the man who killed so many important people! You have no idea how much of a bounty the tuffles have on you!"
Yangcong looked at him with his head slightly upward, staring down at this tuffle with a curious stare. The three students looked at Yangcong, wondering what more has he done in his past.
Flashback
"Tell me Garrick, did you know Trava is a bio android with Yakone's DNA?."
Garrick had no response to that, he was more shocked hearing this for the first time.
"I really don't know what's going on. But if he has Yakone's DNA that must mean he's probably five years of age and slipped himself into the academy. I can remove him as your student and we can conduct an investigation on him."
"No, I will continue to be his teacher. I will continue to watch over him."
Garrick had accepted it, leaving Yangcong to his own devices. Meanwhile Yangcong looked through his photo album with his past colleagues and spotted a tuffle scientist who had went rogue years ago and who had a grudge over Yangcong for a long time.
After interrogating the gigantic tuffle, Yangcong found himself back in his barracks after the mission. He headed towards the last known work station that the tuffle scientist had done. After searching through it, it lead him to several other names and location. After doing more research and interrogation work, he finally found the location of the scientist. Bursting through the doors of his underground laboratory, the tuffle scientist was in shock that he was founded.
"How did you find me?!"
"It took several months, but I was able to find you."
"I wasn't expecting to use project Fuma Flame. But oh well."
Coming from the shadows, would be Trava who would be directly mind controlled by the scientist.
"Trava, what the hell are you doing here?"
The scientist smirked and held a remote in his hand.
"Do you really think you would have gotten away with what you have done? Killing the Lord of House Morkov? Because of you, my research was put on hold. He helped us criminals escape the Military."
"How did you get my son's DNA?"
"Ah, so you know. I always kept tabs on you in House Joki, but when I found out what you did. I went over there myself. Everyone always knew the strength that you had. As a spy it wasn't normal. When you escaped Joki, that is when I had lost track of you. Until that incident you pulled. So I decided to create this bio android and made the necessary arrangements for him to come into your care."
Flashback
Trava and Yangcong training weeks on end. Trava being so tired, he finally looked up at Yangcong while being exhausted.
"Can I ask you something Yangcong?"
"What is it?"
"I found out recently that everyone that is around me isn't my same age. I also notice that I am the only student that you train more with. I'm wondering, why?"
Yangcong sighed to himself, as he held onto his cane for support.
"It's no secret that you know what happened that night. My son had perished that day and you have his blood within you. Its the closest thing that I have to..."
"I see...but Yangcong I don't have your family name."
"You wouldn't want to be named Joki, the Lord was known to be an extremist. You may not have my name, but you have my blood. Never forget that. A name can change, but not ones blood. Starting tomorrow, I will teach you how to properly defend yourself."
The scenery was now back to the scientist tuffle and Trava who was slowly making his way towards Yangcong.
"You trained the boy everything he knows. It's only fitting that you died by him!"
The button was pressed, and the boy went wild, rushing towards Yangcong and the both of them clashing against one another. About that time, Persik had arrived on scene and looking at the conflict, he joined in Yangcong side aiding him against Trava.
"What the hell is going on Master?"
Yangcong looked to Persik being shocked that he was here.
"He's being mind controlled by the remote that the scientist has."
Persik flying straight towards the scientist.
"I will take care of that tuffle brat!"
Yangcong reaching his hand in an attempt to grab Persik, only failing as his face got hit with Trava's right hook.
"No wait!"
The tuffle scientist smirking and clicking on the remote.
"Welcome to Project Fuma Flame boy!"
Trava's body had began to ignite into a red glow and finally, a ki explosion had taken place. Sacrificing the boy and heavily injuring Persik in the process, along with Yangcong. The smoke had cleared and the scientist had remained uninjured by the blast.
"You both are fools to have come here. This was suppose to be a city wide explosion within a few months time, but oh well. I got the person that I needed to anyways."
The scientist walking over to Yangcong and towering over his body as he smacked him across the face with his metal cane.
"You saiyans are all the same. I'm glad that I was able to put an end to one of the strongest saiyans I know."
The scientist had lifted up his metal cane to the air, revealing it to be a sword now and attempting to strike Yangcong in the chest. Moving to his defense and taking the hit would be Persik. Persik's blood had been splattered over Yangcong's face.
"I won't ever let you lay a hand on my master! YOU TUFFLE SCUM!"
Yangcong's eyes had widen.
"Persik, you fool. I have always instilled you in the values of the next generation. You should live on and let us old saiyans die out before you."
"You taught me something Yangcong, no matter who you are and what your status is in this world. Royal or not, You have value like anyone else."
Persik grabbing the collar of this tuffle scientist and screaming.
"You will always be my master!"
Persik had put up a ki barrier between him and the scientist only, exploding himself with the scientist.
"YOU STUPID LITTLE SAIYAN BRAT."
The scientist could only scream in agony as the explosion took place. Yangcong was surrounded by the smoke and as it cleared, the tuffle scientist was blown back and laying against the machines that he had worked so hard on.
"I can't believe, I let a snout nose brat...."
The scientist had died and Yangcong headed back to the barracks with Persik's body.
Flashback
Yangcong had been training for quite sometime by himself, Persik joining along side him as he was hitting the punching bag.
"Master can I ask you something?"
"What is it Persik?"
"Why do Royals tend to dictate what the world is and how come others have to follow their way?"
"I would have agreed with you if I was born in a House only. Living your life in a House has taught you this way of life. But the Military side is different. A royal status doesn't matter, you fight for one goal in mind. To fight for anyone whose royalty or not. Your life matters as much as the next. This is why I joined. Someday, you will better understand."
Yangcong was now in the gravesites, looking at Persik's grave, Trava's grave, and standing next to him would be Malina.
"Master I should have been there with you! I had other assignments to do. It's my fault!"
Yangcong patted her back.
"Don't blame yourself. Persik was always confident in his ability to best others. If you need anything Malina, just let me know."
She looked to their graves and then up at Yangcong.
"Will you train me to become as strong as you."
"I thought you wanted to live your life as a guard for the Capital."
"I changed my mind! Please Master..."
Yangcong looked at her, wanting to protect his student he agreed to train her.
Some years had passed, now Malina was a strong and powerful Lt for the Saiyan Military. Yangcong, who was living his life as a retired spy, enjoyed the luxuries as a retired man. As he casually drank his tea instead of his days drinking booze, the old man calmly enjoyed nature and the birds that chirped around his presence. About that time, a knock had come to his door. Yangcong had looked to the door and shouted.
"Come in!"
The door had opened and it was Malina, who was much older and holding a present for him. She walked over to him and smiled.
"Happy Birthday Master!"
Yangcong chuckled and offered her a seat as he gestured it over to her.
"Ah, I wasn't expecting you to be here. Weren't you going to be on a mission with Garrick?"
She looked to him with a joyful smile.
"It won't be until a few hours from now."
"Well, I'm glad that you will be working with him. He's a strong fighter you know."
"Open the present that I got you."
Yangcong had opened the present, and it was a picture of her and him receiving a medal together.
"Ah, we had received this years ago. I can't remember what the mission was?"
Yangcong had remembered, but he wanted to hear it from his student.
"I can't believe you forgot! We had stopped the tuffles assault on a small village!"
"Ah that's right, how could I forget."
Malina had got up and hugged Yangcong.
"Now go enjoy your birthday with some friends. Don't be out here all alone!"
"Alright alright, I promise I will."
She had said her goodbyes and left. Yangcong instead of taking her advise, had slept in for the afternoon. As he woke up, soldiers were panicking left and right and one of them found his way to Yangcong. Out of breath and bursting through his door, Yangcong had gotten up from his chair that he was sleeping in.
"Yangcong come quick! It's urgent!"
Yangcong had arrived to the council table and one of the officer looking at him with a sadden look.
"Yangcong, we have some grave news to tell you. Garrick and Malina... there were ambushed while on their mission."
Yangcong's world had froze, he had dropped his cane and had collapsed to the ground. Rushed to the hospital, he had woken up in steady condition. The officer who had given him the news, had remained there. He got up from his chair and Yangcong had remembered how he got there.
"Do you have any suspects?"
The officer shook his head no.
"So far no one."
"Any survivors?"
"None so far."
Yangcong had looked depressed and a few hours later, he was at the gravestones of Malina and now Garrick.
"You were my closest friend. I promise you that I will take care of Amara..."
Yangcong left flowers at his grave, he had walked over to Malina's and leaving her flowers as well.
"You were the most passionate and carefree saiyan that I know..."
After leaving the gravesite, he left his retirement behind and left the military. If they couldn't find the ones responsible, he would enter the criminal culture and find out who was behind all of this.
The one year of retirement had truly been unkind for him. Yangcong had founded himself in the grim slums of a bar full of criminals. After a year of searching, he had given up entirely. Searching for clues on who had killed Garrick had finally dawned on him and he had given it up. He had stopped his searched, stopped his cares, and ultimately, had to move on. The world didn't stop just because he had moved into retirement, in fact he had to be on guard 24/7. A big and bulky looking alien had approached him from behind. With a cocked smirk and a heavy breathing appearance, Yangcong had looked over his shoulder and revealing his 'injured' state to the man and wearing a cast on his arm.
"You know for a wanted man whose killed over three Houses Lords. You really don't know how to stay low do you?"
Yangcong had turned his back from the man and continued to drink his whisky.
"You don't want these problems."
The man had pulled out his scimitar from his waistband and slightly raised it just above his head.
"Your worth millions. A fortune that I can't passed by."
After attempting to cut him down, Yangcong had blurred from his position and bashing the glass of whisky over the man's head from behind. Causing him to collapse to the ground and dropping his sword on the ground.
"I even had my back turned and you failed to execute me."
The man had struggled to get up and finally threw himself on his back as he had blood leaking from his head and one eye closed as he looked up at Yangcong.
"You know for an injured man, you sure are dangerous."
He had let out a smirk and revealed his right bandaged arm that appeared to be broken.
"Sadly, this trick has saved my life more times than I could count."
The man had closed his eyes and smirked.
"Hehe, I must be the fool. They warned me not to go after you alone. Now I know what they meant."
The assassin was executed and Yangcong had found himself back on the bar stool. The bartender didn't bat an eye or a comment, and Yangcong had slide the man a hundred to call it even. The bartender had accepted it and went about his business after giving Yangcong a fresh glass of whisky as a replacement. Yangcong hadn't noticed before, but at the edge of the bar which was three stool down, there was a distinct man with shades on and fixed proper pink hair.
"Ya got some skills, old man. I like what I'm seeing."
Yangcong had shifted his eyes towards the man.
"Who wants to know?"
Derry had smirked and slid the man's wanted flier at him. Yangcong had taken a look at it and looked back at the man.
"Seems ya got quite a trail leading towards ya. Well, how 'bout I give ya a way out. Derrick Ottoy of the Dirty Snakes. We practically run the criminal underworld 'roud these parts."
This had peaked Yangcong's interest as he raised a brow.
"I was once a spy for several Houses and even the Saiyan military. I don't think I would be suited to help you."
Derry had lit his cigarette and smoke soon exhaled from his mouth.
"Well, I always have uses for spies, but I'm personally more interested in gettin' ya outta your comfort zone. I was thinkin'... an enforcer."
Normally Yangcong wouldn't give someone like this the time of day, however, his strength was slightly greater than his own. Whoever this human was, Yangcong was in mere shock that he had this much strength in him.
"I'm willing to join your organization, though you are going to have to beat me in a fight."
It wouldn't take long, and after a few seconds, Yangcong was thrown to the ground, unfortunately his previous injuries hasn't healed even after so many years had passed. Derry had brought his hand forward to raise Yangcong up from the ground.
"Well old man, what do ya say?"
Yangcong had smirked, and three years later had passed since he has been in the organization.
Yangcong kept the casino bars running 24/7 in order to increase the cash flow going, though it also meant more security was needed in order to combat the troublemakers that tended to lurk during night hours. He kept his pose straight and his hand firm against his cane that 'aided' his movements. They always say you tend to go back towards your training even when you're out. His days as living as a spy was over with, but his methods have stayed the same. Never give the enemy a foothold and as a tuffle, he had to use it for his advantage. As he stood over the balcony of the overcrowded partying that was happening below him, one of his guards had stood beside him now.
"We have him."
Yangcong shifted his eyes towards the guard and kept his wine glass in hand as he proceeded to the basement of the casino. Tied up to a metal chair with ki rope, was a saiyan that was badly beaten and covered with blood from his mouth that was running like a river bank. Yangcong towered over the saiyan and kept his arms to his back. The saiyan looked at him and simply shook his head.
"Yangcong!?"
Yangcong's gray saiyan tail had swayed back and forward.
"That's right."
"You entered retirement and now serving the Dirty Snakes?! Why would you betray the saiyan military?"
Yangcong had slowly taken off his jacket, then had removed his undershirt to reveal his chest.
"Serving the military taught me a valuable lesson. No matter if it's Serving a House or in the Corp. When it comes to deaths. Investigations are dropped with no leads."
"I can help you Yangcong. You don't have to do any of this! I can get you the dragon balls!"
"Ah yes, those mystical balls. Sadly they are hard to come by and all over the universe so I have heard. You have entered my place of business and taught you could muscle this territory. Just know that, you saiyans won't be conquering no more."
The saiyan tried to spit at Yangcong, only for him to vanish and slice the man's head off with his cane sword. Sheathing it back into place and having a little bit of blood on his chest, he looked to his men.
"Turn the body to ashes and fetch me the most expensive bottle of wine we have got. I'm going to go to my private estate and call it a night."
Yangcong putting his clothes back on after wiping the blood.
Flashback
Yangcong stood beside Garrick and shook his hand, the operation of destroying two Houses that would have posed a great danger to the saiyan military at the time was now wiped out from existence. Yangcong had received the medal and after their departure from one another, Yangcong was now walking the halls of the military base and one after another started to clap their hands as he took in the glory. It wouldn't be long until he found himself at a celebration party which was meant for him and the other soldiers that participated in the takedown. Even though soldiers were present, a few House members were there and pissed. As Yangcong drank his fine wine and leaned against a wall, two royal House members had shown up beside him.
"You must be excited for the victory of destroying two Houses."
The other had chimed in.
"Lordslayer, do you like that title that many have given you over the years?"
Yangcong had stared down these two House members and squinted his eyes.
"It's not a title I ever wanted."
"And yet you have killed three Lords of their own Houses. and one of them you served as a right hand. Looking at your armor, it doesn't even have a scratch. Seems like you have chosen your opponents wisely then."
"I have an act for it."
The two of them were about to invite him outside, until Garrick had shown up with his ale of choice.
"I hope we don't have a problem here? I hope you gentlemen of your respective Houses came to congratulate him?"
They looked at Garrick in disgust and noticed his power level had far exceeded the both of theirs and not wanting to cause an incident with a Commander, they promptly left. Garrick looked to Yangcong with a smirk.
"Don't let them get inside your head. You served your military well."
Yangcong looked at Garrick and smirked.
"House members will always have a grudge against what the military does, specially when it involves other Houses."
"I'm not worried about them. We will always trump against any House that stands in our way. Enjoy the party."
Garrick had lightly patted Yangcong's shoulder and was off. Yangcong continued to stay against the wall and drinking his fine wine. About that time, an officer had approached the microphone which was on a high end platform.
"Yangcong, come to the stage please."
Yangcong was rather confused and headed towards the stage as the officer whispered into his ear before he came onto the platform.
"Just make a quick and short speech about the victory."
Yangcong always knew that when it came to big operations such as these, it meant that a speech would come after and since he was the key of the operation, it would make him the person who gave the speech. Yangcong had got up to the podium and cleared his throat.
"Thank you all for coming in attendants to this event. I am honored to serve under Commander Garrick. This operation was a crucial one which involved two Houses that are no longer here. Getting rid of these two Houses saved the military the resources and the man power that would have became chaotic if it wasn't for the brilliant mind of Commander Garrick. He's a great Commander and I am lucky to have served under him during my years here. Thank you all and good night."
The crowd started to cheer and as Yangcong walked off the stage, he heard his fellow soldiers chanting Lordslayer with the upmost respect and joy. Honoring the title instead of diminishing it. Yangcong had returned to his bedroom for the night, having the picture of him and Garrick standing next to each other shaking each others hand with Yangcong's medal around his neck. Yangcong sat on his bed, drinking down whisky and calling it a night.
Yangcong had been on the run for several days which had turned to years. The investigation of the Lord slayer for the Lord of House Joki was being investigated by a detective for the military. After being on the scene, several military soldiers had closed off the scene for anyone from House Joki to intervene. The detective kept his hand to his chin and slightly rubbed it with his index finger.
"You said the Lords right hand had done this?"
One of Joki's Lt was on scene and looked to the detective.
"That's right, his name is Yangcong Joki, but that isn't his birth name, it was a name he had acquired by joining the House."
The Detective knew that he had heard that name before and as the Lt handed his picture of him, the detective knew who he was.
"But he worked as a spy for our military. His power level was a measly 500. Why was he the right hand for the Lord?"
The Lt had looked to the detective and simply shrugged his shoulders.
"If I had to guess, it would have to be Yangcong's record in being in the military for so long and as a right hand, they were always together no matter what. As far as how strong Yangcong was, I never got to see the full extent of his power. It clearly was enough to take down the Lord."
The detective looked over at the baby that was next to him.
"And was this the Lords child?"
"No, that was Yangcong's."
"This investigation will take sometime. We won't be closing off the House after all since the prime suspect has been identified. I will find out where he is."
Some days had passed and the detective giving Commander Garrick the latest report.
"We have possibly find out the whereabouts of Yangcong. The closest town to House Joki, was House Morkov. I believe that criminal swine might be helping him."
Garrick had read the report and turned his eyes to the detective.
"There will be no need to investigate this matter any longer. Close the case and move on."
The detective was in complete shock and wondered why.
"Yangcong serves as a spy for my squad. He has aided our military in the war efforts and I won't be sentencing him for a crime like this. We all knew how that arrogant Lord was. Which is why we never gave him military power."
The detective nodded and walked away.
"I will close the investigation."
A few hours later had passed and the detective had told the Captain of that House that Yangcong was killed off.
"Well LordsSlayer, is a title someone is given when they have assassinated a Lord. Though if he has killed more, I wonder wh-"
Persik had covered Trava's mouth so that he didn't bore him to death. Persik had approach Yangcong and eyed him with a serious glare.
"Lordsslayer huh?
Meanwhile Yangcong looked through his photo album with his past colleagues and spotted a tuffle scientist who had went rogue years ago and who had a grudge over Yangcong for a long time.
fter interrogating the gigantic tuffle, Yangcong found himself back in his barracks after the mission.
"You know for a wanted man whose killed over three Houses Lord.
"You said the Lord's right hand had done this?"
Meanwhile Yangcong looked through his photo album with his past colleagues and spotted a tuffle scientist who had went rogue years ago and who had a grudge over Yangcong for a long time.
fter interrogating the gigantic tuffle, Yangcong found himself back in his barracks after the mission.
"You know for a wanted man whose killed over three Houses Lord.
"You said the Lord's right hand had done this?"
