"Tell me Uncle, why didn't you ever end up like my father."
Ches stood behind Yakone with his arms to his back.
"Your father served the military, I didn't. He felt like he had a duty to serve. He believed at one point in time. That the saiyan people were his friends, his family. He cared about them so much that he at one point became a workaholic on the force. Not returning home for weeks on end. Having a worried wife. He spoke every so often through messages."
"What exactly changed my father, what brought him to attack the Capital?"
"Your father had finally realized the wrongs that the military had done. So he realized that siding with the saiyans was a bad choice. He gave up his career for what he saw as peace to end the war. Not many would side with your father because no one could read his mind."
"I will destroy those that opposed my father."
A red orb appeared on Yakone's right hand, as he fired it at a nearby building with enough energy to turn the entire building to ashes.
Things were going well! After some chicanery involving the President and a whole boatload of questionably obtained documents, Amara now had herself the permission, land, and mostly-intact building to start her company from. Celosia Industries, a public tech rival to the giant of Capsule Corp, and more importantly significant source of raw materials and funds for Amra's personal projects. She'd need a larger-scale industry to complete the research required for her pipe dream NEO project, and while homemade stuff had its own charm, it wouldn't quite make the cut. "Hm?" Having been stationed outside the building, it wasn't hard to notice a strangely familiar power source nearby. Her mind wandered, attempting to place it to a name when the very same source decided to unleash a MASSIVE attack straight towards her!
More accurately, the building, but either way, it would certainly not stand. The accords were an issue to most, but Amara didn't fear potential repercussions for defending her own property. Exemptions negotiated at Derry's table gave her the freedom to use her powers nigh as usual, though she was still trying to get the pink-haired man to extend leniency to OTHER Heroes on the planet. With a jolt of energy, she rocketed off the ground, intercepting the crimson-hued orb and swatting it away harmlessly into the sky. "Hey, jerk! Watch where you're throwing mega death balls, or so help me-"
Oh hey wasn't that Yakone? Amara's Ki Projection faltered for just a moment, a pulse of her authentic energy shining through. "Yakone?! The heck are you doing here!" He was accompanied by some sort of red-haired old guy, though she'd never seen nor heard of him before. He was STRONG, on par with the actual ghost himself, but so far it was the latter that was stirring up trouble.
Ki Projection is active at the start! Upon sensing Yakone, however, it temporarily drops so he can sense it's AMARA before going back up.

Light Attack Technique Type || Platinum dagger stab
Yakone will attempt to stab his opponent.
KP Cost: 2 KP
Yakone had arrived back to Otherworld in hopes of searching for Amara, that is when he encountered two ogres.
"Hey guys, I'm looking for a girl name Amara. She's got brown hair, sometimes wears glasses."
The blue ogre was clueless indeed, however the red one had casually folded his arms.
"You talking about the one that killed that War criminal huh? No we haven't seen her."
As he turned, he recalled what the man had actually said. He looked over his shoulder with a raised brow.
"What you mean she killed a war criminal?"
The red ogre looked surprised.
"I'm surprise you haven't encountered that Yangcong fellow yet. He's like the top tier villain in Hell... or was.. I really don't know where in Hell he is at..."
Yakone ran, out of the sight of the ogres. The red ogre casually chuckling with his buddy.
"I guess the simple mentioning of that man's name makes anyone run away."
Yakone had slammed the ground in a violent matter! His last encounter with Amara.... was a sad one... He wanted her help to know what to do in the mortal realm and she didn't have an answer, instead, she pushed him into the portal... To discover the truth was a deep pain for him. He tried his best to search and search for her aura in Otherworld but couldn't! Could she have.... done the same deal that Yakone had done in escaping this place?
"Uncle! That's the person that killed Yangcong!"
"So she's the one that killed my brother huh. Let's going to pay for it then. Lets make this quick then.."
Yakone nodded as he pulled out his platinum dagger and rushed over to Amara, Attempting to stab her in the stomach with it. Meanwhile Ches, would keep his distance and fire away his blaster rounds at her!
"...Are you gonna say anything, or?" Her arrival seemed to freeze the boy in place for a good twenty seconds as if he were experiencing an extended flashback of some kind. Amara had been ready to fly on over when the daydreaming shattered, the ghost roaring in anger about her having killed someone. Oh. "You mean Yangcong!? I thought you would've-" Too late for hopes and words as the glint of a metallic knife came at her, Yakone attempting a quick and vicious stab to her stomach. With a flash, Amara's own weapon appeared, holoblade hissing dangerously as the energy-blade intercepted the paltry stab. Swatting aside the revenant's blade, Amara pushed forward with a small slash of her own! Unlike most weapons or swords, the holoblade didn't always slice through physical objects.
At Amara's whim, it could turn into a phase-type weapon, passing through solid objects harmlessly but damaging an opponent's stamina and Ki directly. Amara opted for such an ability, not currently wanting to KILL the boy before her. If unimpeded, the sword would sink straight through Yakone's chest, causing a searing pain as Amara yanked it out but leaving no wound behind. "PAUSE! You don't wanna do this, dude! Especially over someone like Yangcong. I know he was your father, and I'm sorry he had to die, but there wasn't another option for me on the table!" Yakone's companion also fired a few blaster shots her way, Amara's other arm reaching up to deflect them with a crackling wreath of sparks. "And you! Who even are you!?"
Amara activates High Gear (x5)!
She clashes the stab with an Assault Battery (1KP, 20%) which WINS, sending 30,000 PL in bleedthrough at Yakone!
She had stabbed Yakone, as he would grit his teeth together, phasing away from Amara and being back on his uncle's side as he started to pant a bit. The wound he had received was minor at best.. But the phased weapon had slightly drained his ki and stamina.. No physical wound was present, but it still did its job... Ches would stare at Yakone's wound then looking back at Amara.
"I am Yangcong's brother, Ches. Space Pirate. No way my brother lose to someone like you."
He would place his blue scouter on his left eye and started to calculate her power level. The scouter would break the moment it would pass 250k mark. Yakone looked shocked at this strange event.
"What does the scouter say about her power level?"
Ches grabbing the scouter from his eye and holding it in his hand as he spoke and then crushed the device in his hand.
"Its over 250,000.."
Yakone looked at him in shock.
"No way that could be right.... could it?"
"This is an older model, so it must be broken."
They both would fly at her, rushing pass her, in an x formation crossing one another. Then they would each plant their feet against the buildings and use it to push themselves straight at her again. Both going horizontally and passing her yet again. Finally, they would push themselves from another building, trying to change both their directions from the other. Yakone would come from behind Amara and attempt to sock her straight in the back of the head. While Ches would come from the front and attempt to knee her in the stomach.
"He had a brother? ...Really?" That seemed kinda random, but she didn't really have a reason to disbelieve him. Doubly so if the guy was chumming around with Yakone. "To be fair, it wasn't really a loss as much as a mutual victory? That, uh, doesn't help does it." Affixing a scouter, the red-haired man took a moment to read her battle power. Amara kept her distance, sword at the ready as her eyebrows furrowed. "Seriously, why don't we just take a step back and think this over like rational adults?" That quickly went out the window as the pair charged at her in a series of quick fly-bys intended to knock her off her feet.
"Knock it off!" The final pass included actual attacks, Amara's head tilting forward slightly from Yakone's punch as her free hand caught Ches' knee. With a sharp kick, she attempted to send the older man flying, spinning on her heel as her blade imbued itself with a tiny surge of shadow energy. She'd try another phase slice to the boy's arm, which if successful, would leave the dark debilitating cloud behind and sap any energy behind his next attack. "There's no way for you to win here!" Not necessarily true. While it'd been some time since her scuffle in Central, Amara still wasn't fully healed. Going full power like this was already putting a strain on her body.
Amara fires a Dark Pulse (1KP, 10%, Exhausting) at Yakone for 30,000 PL!
"We lived separated lives. He joined the military while I was captured by space pirates on Planet Sadala."
The fight had continued, she had caught the knee and quickly side kick Ches on his side as he went flying to the side and straight to a nearby building. Breaking through the window and landing on a now broken shelf. He laid there for a bit as he tried catching his breath. She had broken one of his ribs with that kick and boy was it painful.
Yakone then had noticed her phasing through his arm again but this time it was different as a cloud had appeared on his arm now. Just what the hell was this?! It still continued to linger as he stared at Amara and tried to barrage punch her entire body now!
"YOU CAN SO EASILY DISMISS MY FEELINGS HUH. YOU KILLED MY FATHER AND I AM SUPPOSE TO EXPECT WHAT? TO BE KIND TO YOU IN ALL OF THIS? HE GAVE HIS LIFE TO GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE AT LIFE. HE ISN'T LIKE EVERYONE SAYS HE IS. HE ISN'T NO CRIMINAL!"
The deluded Yakone kept his way of thinking and as he threw punch after punch he was definitely getting tired....
Kidnapped by space pirates at a young enough age that Yangcong never really mentioned him. Honestly, she could believe it. Between the latter's borderline insanity and the conditions of Sadala mid-war, a foreign fighter force scooping up a few Saiyans for... selling wasn't out of the picture. "Then why do you even care-! I'm sure pirates didn't instill good moral values in you, but surely you have to see the line between common crimes and what Yangcong was doing." The response would have to wait as her kick landed true, sending Ches careening through a nearby (thankfully vacant for the night) office building, Amara wincing at the collateral. She didn't really want to be causing massive damage, but fighting in an urban environment against two enemies out for blood made that very difficult.
Her shadow-imbued blade left its payload clear on Yakone's arm as the boy still hesitated to push very far, opting for a barrage of standard punches, which she was quick to meet with an equally impressive string of dodges. "Yakone-! GROW UP! The whole world is telling you something! Yangcong wasn't all bad, I know. He helped me, he helped my father, and he helped you. Ultimately, he tried to KILL me. He did so many bad things... even if they were for a just cause. You need to look beyond your father and become your OWN person in life!"
Ches had calmly walked over towards the both of them and keeping his distance.
"You first have to understand Yangcong. My brother, like my father, and Yangcong's wife. Understood the mission he was doing. Being a spy for your army wasn't an easy job. The same people he worked for, were the invaders of the planet. He finally understood that at the end of the day and did what he did. He was a patriot if you could believe that."
Though Ches would say this, him dying his hair and trying to not resemble Yangcong, just spoke volumes on how much differently the world saw him and not how they saw him.
"You said my brother helped your people out and even yourself. So what exactly happened huh?"
Yakone just became angry, as he clenched his fist.
"It already too late."
Yakone had grabbed his rigged platinum dagger and hurling it straight at her! As it got within arms reach of her, the dagger itself would explode. Ches would also watch Yakone throw the dagger and needed to help him as he took aim with his blaster and fired a powerful round at her in hopes of injuring her in the process.
Heavy Sparkling Technique || Secret Platinum Dagger Explosion
Description Yakone will throw his platinum dagger that is rigged to explode.
"What happened-? He started committing atrocities like... like a child plays with toy soldiers! So much blood, so much suffering, and YANGCONG was the root of it all! Between trying to brainwash Saiyan children, executing prisoners of war, and all the other stupid crime shit he got into with the Snakes... why is it so hard for you two to see that!?" They seemed willingly blinded to the truth, desire to keep a father and brother upon a high pedestal as a Hero rather than face the reality of what he had become. "Please, it's as I said, he wasn't all bad. Yangcong might've had good intentions, and he DID some good things, but I didn't end up killing him for no reason!"
Amara had sworn to herself never to take a life again unless she HAD to, in circumstances where the aggressor was either so violent, so manic, so utterly reproachable that letting them live would be a crime itself. "Don't push me any further; I'll defend myself if I have to-" The telltale glint of metal flashing in Yakone's hand was enough to warn her, his dagger flying towards her at immense speed! If Yakone was anything like his late father, this attack was straight from his playbook - the very same that had initially taken her life. "ENOUGH!" Amara's body SURGED with immense power...! And then summarily deflated in on itself, the hybrid nerves alighting in a cacophony of pain as her body struggled to keep up with the rampant Ki usage.
Her power noticeably dipped by a hundred thousand, Amara letting out a pained wheeze as she FORCED a surge of electricity. The explosive weapon met a thin makeshift wall of hexagonal shields, the barrier crumbling under the explosion as it scorched the edge of Amara's face with blistering heat. A snarl escaped the woman's lips as Ches' follow-up shots roared towards her, Amara disappearing in a blinding flash of speed only to appear directly in front of the elder Saiyan! "It was YOU who fed him all these lies, wasn't it-!" Amara's arm reared back, crackling with latent power as she attempted to deliver a harsh straight jab to the man's chest, hoping to take him out of the fight in a single blow!
Amara's body is strained and, trying to use BIG attack has pushed her too far! Her PL is FORCIBLY SUPPRESSED to 200,000
She unleashes a THUNDER REIGN (SPRK, 6KP, 5MP, 110%, Counter, BUP) for 22,000 PL damage towards CHES!
The shield from Back-Up Plan tanks Yakone's attack, Amara suffers 30% damage from bleed-through
The evasive from Counter is used to dodge Ches' attack entirely, no damage suffered
She had formed up a shield, strong enough to protect her against the attack, however the some of the damage had appeared to have gotten through. Yakone had panted and anger had consumed him as he now slammed his fist to the ground. Meanwhile, Ches took the hit from Amara and was sent flying back to a nearby car. His armor had pierced through the chest, cracking and then revealing his black jumpsuit from behind, shattering that too and causing some bruising to be shown from it. Ches tissues had ruptured from the attack and his muscle had began to ache at this point. Blood leaving his mouth as the strong pain from the left pec area was numbing at this point. Showing signs that the attack was that strong that he may not be able to move soon. He struggled to even move due to his old age, he wasn't as refined in combat like his brother, he didn't have the stamina to even throw blows with anyone anymore. All he did use was his trusted blaster which was just inches away from his feet.
"You don't understand girl. I didn't convince him. He was the one who found me and told me everything. He explained to me what had happened. I can't tell him to change his ways when all he ever knew was the Afterlife and being raised over there. All he had was his mother and when his father showed up it was a whole different story. All he knew was family, all he cared for was family. While we lived out here fighting for our lives and seeing the evils of the world. He was in Otherworld safe in Heaven for the most part. He never saw evil like we see evil."
Yakone rose to his feet and stared at Amara.
"I trusted you. You tried to guide me and instead of telling me the truth. You lied to me. First it was your name, then you had told me the truth after. You thought I wasn't ever going to come back to Otherworld and ask questions. Well I did and found out the truth. if you truly cared about me, you would have been upfront from the start. I was suppose to have never existed, until my mother made the contract, then my father made the deal to free me from Otherworld to have a life. I don't care what the world says about him! He will always be my father, he will always be seen as my hero."
Tears filled his eyes. The first friend he thought he had made, was in fact, the person who had killed his father. He took a step forward towards Amara and tried to head butt her forehead!
"WHAT IF IT WAS ME WHO KILLED YOUR FATHER! AND I HAD LIED ABOUT MY NAME TO YOU. WOULD YOU EVER TRUST ME? WOULD YOU FORGIVE ME FOR WHAT I HAD DONE! AMARA!"
If this head butt would hit, his own forehead would start to bleed out.
"You'd think that living in Heaven your entire life would set a GOOD example of what Heroes are supposed to be," There was a bitter tinge to Amara's words, the woman growing increasingly frustrated. She had battled genocidal Gods, diabolical Demons, and navigated political intrigue with a war spanning an entire planet. And through all of that, she managed to keep her smile. The ugly past of Yangcong's still far-reaching actions rearing its' head once more in the form of his brainwashed zealot son was enough to push her towards 'old' Amara territory. "And you just let it happen, huh? Do you even care about your nephew, or is he just some sort of pawn to you? A WEAPON to threaten anyone you can convince him is an enemy?"
A small burst of Hardlight took shape, forming into a large advanced hand-gun typo weapon. "So stay out of this!" She'd fire the attack straight for Ches once more! Like her Holoblade, the Holoweapons, in general, had a non-lethal mode that Amara had switched on. It didn't mean the globule of superheated Ki racing in the Saiyan's direction would be very pleasant if it hit, though. The gun's slide bolted forward, swinging up as a small triangular cartridge was forcibly ejected. Vanishing in a flash, Amara stored her blaster until it'd come time to use it again, facing the duo with a determined grimace.
"I THOUGHT I'd be dead for the rest of my existence! That what you needed was a positive boost forward to make a good impact on the world, not some sort of goose chase that'd lead you down the path of hate and carnage you follow now. Tell me, Yakone, what happens if you'd found out my name back then? Nothing good, I can say that for sure. I wanted to give you a CHANCE to leave your father's shadow and accomplish something of your own merit, but all that is getting thrown away in the face of petty revenge for a dead man!" Their heads collided, Amara grunting as her power still far exceeded Yakone's.
"If my father was evil incarnate who tried to slaughter countless innocents and made pacts with Demons every other Tuesday, I'd disown him." Her eyes narrowed angrily, sparks surging with a harsh ferocity around the woman's body. "SO YES! If someone decided to remove my father from the world as penance for his CRIMES, I'd accept it. That's what Saiyans do, damnit! Suck up your own sorrow and try to see the bigger picture for once!" With Yakone still in striking distance, Amara would try and deliver a swift kick to his torso, hopefully gaining space to recharge her energy a bit.
Amara uses one charge of Arm Blaster (ITEM, 20% ATK) on CHES for 40,000 PL potential damage!
"While everyone was living their lives out here, I grew up dead. To think if my mother would have just allowed me to pass on. I wouldn't be here. When all you got his family in this world and nothing else, that's all you care about. I didn't have any friends. You probably met both your parents and had friends, I didn't have none of that."
Ches would look at Amara with a slight chuckle.
"Your just a naive girl. Clearly you don't know what it's like to only care about ones family line. He grew up with a tainted past. When the world finds out that he is Yangcong's son. He will already be listed as Wanted. Your family line follows you and no one will look at him differently!"
He took the shot from Amara, this time he was pushed to the ground and now laid flat on his back. The back pain he was suffering started to kick in and he chuckled as he looked at the sky.
"We are just like oil and water Amara, we will never understand one another no matter what. You see it as petty revenge and I see it as a family line completely gone."
Yakone would walk over to his uncle and help him up, carrying him on his shoulder by having his uncle's arm around his neck.
"Its easy to talk a hypothetical situation, then actually living with one. Goodbye Amara."
Yakone would fly into the air with his uncle trying to leave.
"And you'll have none of it at the rate you're going, Yakone. Think! You've been handed a second chance at life on a silver platter - one that most people would genuinely kill for - and you plan on wasting it because you can't get over your father? MAKE new friends, MAKE a new purpose, you have the chance to do that!" The hybrid whirled around to face Ches, jabbing an accusatory finger at the old man. "All I hear from you is excuses and justification, and I must say, This blabbing you've been doing only solidifies my opinion. YOU have been spitting venom into Yakone's brain, and it'll be YOUR fault when he gets hurt because of it." Shot landing true, the older Saiyan was flung against the ground in an audibly painful crack, Amara wincing slightly at the force. She might be using non-lethal energy but who knows how much physical punishment Ches' body could take.
The fighting came to a pause as the duo ended their assault as abruptly as it had begun, Amara watching cautiously as the ghost supported his elderly uncle back to his feet. "Yeah, you're right about that... I don't understand. Your dad is gone, Yakone, and I've been dealing with that my entire life, too - but I'd NEVER try and follow in his deranged footsteps if he had turned out evil." It seemed they were serious about leaving now. What prompted the retreat despite their conviction remaining firm was unknown, but Amara was glad their small but deadly battle had come to a close. "I feel sorry for you, you know?" The woman glanced at her shoes, letting out a small sigh. "You've lived your whole life for other people, not yourself. And if you keep going down this path of vengeance, you'll just continue being a slave to that whim."
