When it came to cuisine, Namek was lacking. Well, it wasn't just their food, the planet lacked any sort of modernity on a broad scale, but that was a long-term thing to fix (if they even were interested in it BEING fixed). A diet of cabbage, wield berries, and the iron-flavored fish wasn't a particularly enjoyable one for most visitors. While the Namekians could live off of water alone, the fact that they grew crops at all lent some credence to the idea that they had an actual taste. And Amara, tired from her recent planet-hopping, decided to go ahead and try something fun in the capital. Home to one of the only functioning spaceports on the planet, Dend also sported the largest permanent population alongside a host of Namekians that are a bit more acclimated to outsiders.
So what was the most logical thing to do for a foreigner trying to potentially expand the palate of an entire species? Open up a temporary magic noodle bowl shop, of course. Amara remembered from her time with Ollo that most Namekians were vegetarians by choice and, as such, made sure to keep all of her ingredients down to the vegetable broth as meat-free as possible. It tuckered her out quite a bit just summoning the stuff needed, beads of sweat already forming as she prepared to open the place up. Most locals didn't have money yet, so Amara offered small free bowls to get them to try it. She had a ramshackle wooden stall complete with a vast noodle pot wafting steam everywhere and a small array of stools near the counter.
It (somehow) wasn't the weirdest thing most Namekians had seen, and some were curious enough to take a seat and ask her what it was all about. "Foreign type of food!" She chirped happily. "You can all try some if you want. I promise it's all vegetables and plant-based stuff here, down to the Earth meat substitutes. The flavor without the, uh, animal as they say." The menu was pretty small, but what did you expect from a stand created and run by a single weird lady in a single afternoon? The options consisted of the standard broth, two types of noodles, and a veggie or meat substitute bowl. With any luck, the Namekians would take a liking to it.
