CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Tuner is your average Namekian. A simple six foot tall man, lean as most of his ilk are. His eyes are a stark, pure yellow, glowing bright when spells are cast. He wears thick wraps, colored deep red to represent his clan while also protecting him from the bitter cold.
BACKGROUND: The story of The Collective is one of tragedy. Born out of desperation. Tuner, a Namekian lord of a Mazoku clan, was exiled ages ago from Namekian society. His brutal methods drove him to one day attempt to overtake a region of the planet, but his power was too weak, and his followers far too hesitant. Though casualties were few, his loss was well-known, and his exile reduced his clans size to little more than himself.
He brooded in the Northern Scar for decades, trying to find some way to exact his revenge. As he ruminated, however, he collected more and more followers. Exiled warrior clan, exiled Dragon Clan, even exiles from other planets. They banded together in the wastes, and prepared for revenge.
Soon, as their mercurial band grew, so too did their ego. They attacked again, this time the capital rather than some small village. As most might expect, they were pushed back again. Many were killed in the process this time, and the exile was worsened. Rather than be shunned to the wastes, the twenty Namekian marauders were sent off the planet.
Dissent began to grow. Chaos and arguments boiled the group down. They were lost, furious! How would they fix this problem? Go back to their home?
Tuner had an idea.
Fusion.
A lost, taboo art. Banned for time immemorial. But why should they care? They hadn't the need to follow tradition anymore; they were banned from it! So, out of desperation, they joined hands within their ship, and fused...
What came out was a terrible being. A conniving soul, stronger than all of the pieces that were used to combine it. Unfortunately, the pieces used were weak. Frail and powerless. In the end they were barely a threat, and so they decided to bide their time. Their shared knowledge made them wondrous at guiding others. Manipulating the powerful into doing their bidding.
Arcose was almost a natural fit for them. Schemers and backstabbers were almost welcome, and so they wormed their way into the political world. They used names interchangeably to suit their needs, and found themselves a comfortable position as a small town's mayor.
But Azoth changed everything.
His worldview ruined things. Followers of the heroic lizard caught on to Tuner's manipulation, cast him aside like the Namekians did so long ago. They were furious! How would they solve this ruinous turn of events?
As they bode their time, news spread of Azoth's untimely demise. His grip was gone, and the power vacuum left behind gave them the perfect opportunity to rise back up. All they needed was someone to manipulate. To steer in the right direction...
Soon, they'd have their puppet.
