"Should I even ask?" Meeting in a cave in the middle of dangerous wastelands was one thing. Having Vanille surrounded by enough bits, baubles, pieces, and scrap to give any tinkerer a heart attack was another. Admittedly late to the showing, it seemed the Majin went ahead and started tampering with their ill-gotten gain herself, having already constructed a humanoid body from a mixture of materials. Anything that the mechanically-inclined Majin didn't carry in capsules was supplemented by generous helpings of magic materialization. "Nevermind. What inspired that particular frame design?" Of course, without a proper workshop and abundant supplies, even Vanille could only do so much. The body was complete enough to serve as a closed frame, but it was hardly one he'd consider bringing onto a battlefield.
The Majin was silent for a moment, the flashing arc of a plasma torch automatically dimmed by Snapdragon's own visor as she carefully and seamlessly added another plate to the head. "Ah! Snappy! Nothing much. Went ahead and tried to scrounge up what I could from his memories. It's like a biological brain still but hooked up in a way you wouldn't believe. Rebuilding his body looked based on recollection alone, so probably not the exact alloy composition or anything, but hopefully, it works. Oh, and he runs on a classic-style fusion system rather than those Arcosian plasma core variants." Fusion was still the primary staple of galactic power sources given how USEFUL it actually was, and it was familiar enough that Vanille had been able to replicate it well enough to power the revitalized android they had recovered.
"I hate working with plasma cores," Snapdragon grumbled, taking a few steps over to the deactivated heap and giving it another once-over. "You did all the regular checks, right? Insulation, power circulation, connectors, the whole nine yards?" At worst, they'd have an indebted robot and some firsthand info on the war, and at best, they'd have a potential new ally. Vanille's head bobbed up and down as she stood back, smirking proudly. "Everything precisely according to the checklist, boss! I was just about to re-attach his black box and cerebral connections to try and boot 'im up. Now that you're here, how about you do the honors?" With a shrug, he'd step over to the waiting brain, metallic fingers gently picking it up and placing it within the new head casing. "Should we get a lightning strike for good measure?" Though a joke at the surface, simply putting the android's brain back in place wouldn't magically resuscitate him. With a slight jolt to kickstart K4's core, the pair would stand back and wait to see what happened next.
