Wc:254 Korado:33,000 Sickle:23,000 Korado didn't know this existed at all. A whole science corps on plants? On the Saiyan Side of things! When did this happen? Wow, Korado was pretty confused but also happy. He had noticed it on his first visit back to see the damage from the attack. But to get his work done he needed those that could help him. So he was heading to the top. He was going to find the leader of this corps and break bread with them. Explain what he was about and try to get them to work with him. He felt that was the best solution to all of this. The more hands he had on his project the better. After all, he was not doing something for the faint of heart. He would need the smartest people in the universe if he wanted to get anywhere close to his goals.
Korado would head to where the Brussel Science Corps was and walk-in. Sickle peered from his bag looking around at this marvel of science. It was really not something Korado would have expected so long ago. As a young child, this place would have been awesome. He would begin looking around. "I'm looking for the leader of this place. I wish to talk with them. My name is Korado. I am a humble scientist who wishes to learn how I can contribute to this place." That would hopefully be a start. That should guide some interest and hopefully bring him to who he was looking for.
Carrying a box of scientific supplies out in front of her and preparing to head out, Parsella was getting ready to head off to the Saiba Wastes to both research some Destron Clouds having gathered around in the wilds while also planning to hire someone for a hit job when she was interrupted by Korado. With the box reaching above her face, as she turned to face the Tuffle talking to him, she was completely unable to see him, but what she was able to notice was his power. She heard at least two high streams of energy coming from the two, something that was way louder than her own, which to the Dercattan lady meant that she couldn't let her guard down in front of them.
Moving her stuff down to a nearby desk and putting it down on there, she quickly walked back to Korado and looked at him with suspicion. He certainly looked like a Tuffle, but he also wore Saiyan Armor and was standing in Sadala without anyone even batting an eye. Perhaps she was wrong, and the man was simply a Earthling who was merely visiting the Saiyan Kingdom, but for now, especially with him being the one on the higher end, she had to play it safe.
"You're talking to them, Tuffle..." Parsella said, passively-aggressively, though her body language implied that she was more scared than she was distrustful to the man. As she heard about how the man wished to contribute to the Brussel Science Corps however, she began to lighten up a bit. She did not expect a Tuffle coming all the way to Sadala despite the war to want to contribute to Saiyan science, and although she was very wary, she was still curious of the man's offer.
"Are... are you serious? You do realize that this is Sadala, right? Capital of the Saiyans? And that your a Tuffle, the kind of species we've been at war with? Or at least, I think your one? Tuffles and Earthlings are hard to tell apart to be honest, but still..."
Grabbing the box once more, Parsella began to walk away, but as she did so, she reached her left hand back a bit to beckon the man forward, a smile hidden on her face behind the cover of the boxes of supplies in her other hand. "If you really are serious, follow me. I can take you to a private place, and from there perhaps we can talk a bit. I'm not willing to throw away fellow help even if they are from an opposing side. Well, except for Arcosians of course. Those jerks blew up our last office building with that big ship crash, and they can all go straight to hell."
Korado glanced as it seemed the leader of his group was aware he was a tuffle. Guess he did forget to put on his metal tail. Korado glanced to look at the leader, she was not a Saiyan as he expected. Instead, she was a fish woman in Saiyan armor. She must have been an alien species that he had not heard of. She seemed to want to know why he wanted to do here, this was the capital of the Saiyans. He was a tuffle and his kind was at war with them. "Yes, I am a tuffle. But I'm also a Saiyan. I'm a hybrid you see. But more importantly, I am somewhat neutral with what the war going on." A lie somewhat but he could explain that later. Right now he was focused on his science endeavors and not this endless war. After all, his goals were fulfilled then he would be able to end the war.
Korado turned to follow Parsella to an area where they could talk in private. She explained she was not going to reject any help except the Arcosians since they blew up her last office. "Is that what occurred here? I was wondering who attacked this place?" So it was the Arcosian's huh? Well, that spelled trouble, he knew they were powerful. And if he was right he had Sickle absorbed one of them. So maybe that would make him a target. But for now, he would allow Parsella to lead him to where they could talk in private. Then he would explain what his actual plans worked.
"Ah, a Hybrid, and a Saiyan one at that. Apologies, I thought you were a full-blooded Tuffle..."
Having heard Korado's claims that he was more a half-blooded Tuffle-Saiyan rather than a pure-blooded one, Parsella's opinion of the man improved slightly, as she continued to walk with him across the halls of the Brussel Science Corps' offices. Hybrids between Saiyans and Tuffles were somewhat rare due to the ongoing war, but when they usually did emerge, they at least had the dignity to remain on the Vegetan side of the conflict. Even if they didn't though, they at least maintained the courtesy to remain out of direct combat against the empire, something that she was okay with.
There was just one thing she was questioning of that she wondered about when Korado had given his excuse of being a Hybrid. "I do have one question though... what happened to the tail? Pardon the intrusion, but if you were weak I'd easily believe that you cut it off yourself so that you'd be safe from accidentally going ape and destroying whatever labs you have, but I can actively hear your power, and it is certainly astounding. Oh and I do mean hear in the most literal sense, my species' ability to sense power is more auditory than it is visual."
Continuing their way to the office, Parsella used a bit of her ability of water manipulation to push a button, opening up a elevator tube for the two to ride their way up. Her room was on a higher floor, and since she wasn't able to see beneath her due to the boxes she was carrying, she couldn't accurately create flat planes of water for her to walk up with like stairs. As such, she had chosen a building with a elevator to relocate at, to make things easier for herself.
As the elevator rose and the two got a good outside view of Sadala, this was when Parsella answered Korado's other question. "Oh yes, very astute. While Taori had ran away to capture Hatchi once and for all, someone named Blizzard attacked the Royal Palace and crashed their gigantic cruiser into the city nearby. A lot of buildings were destroyed in the attack and some lives were lost as well. And among those..."
"...Were my lab." Dropping the boxes next to her, she leaned against them as she looked out at the rubble caused from Blizzard's cruiser attack, tugging at the sleeves of her dress all the while. "We had so many projects planned, and while the blueprints were saved, the machinery we needed was destroyed alongside the building. That's why I can't forgive those dirty Arcosians! They've willingly set back my- err... the Kingdom's great strides in both weaponry and biological sciences for at least a good few years! At this rate the royal family's just gonna shut us down before I can even show them the profits of my research into the creation of artificially created organic life..."
"Your good don't worry about it." That was not a comforting thought at all. But guess she had her reasons to not be a fan of the tuffles. She seemed to be a science type, maybe they had rejected her inventions? Or she did do something immoral and was caught? Korado shrugged, it was not his business to know but it would be good to know just in case she was someone that he couldn't trust. Parsella asked what happened to his tail if he was a hybrid. It was powerful but it made sense to remove it to avoid a rampage. She did even hear his power, noting it of been great to have the power. "I never grew out a tail actually. I created a fake tail but I stopped wearing that since I'm not as conflicted about my blood anymore. Plus it is just easier to say I lost the tail in some battle and it never came back." Korado waved his hand and kept walking. "Though I must admit the ability to hear someone's power. That is something I never heard of. Very interesting." Maybe something he should study at some point. That seemed like a useful ability.
They would arrive at the Parsella explained from what had heard an Arcosian named Blizzard had attacked and destroyed the area. "Hm where you hear that?" It was odd since that meant there were either three arcosians (Now two with one of them being ash from what he saw), on the planet during the war. Two fighting with the tuffle and one attacking the saiyans at the same time. Seems better to just defeat the saiyan with all three at once. Which means if Parsella was telling the truth then one of them would have ditched the battle to attack the saiyan? Seems very odd to say the least. But he left it at that and looked at her laboratory. It had a nice view and he could see where the rubble and the cruiser had smashed down. He made a mental note to maybe head down there to grab some scraps. He did listen as she seemed pretty anger her ideas...sorry the kingdom's ideas were left in the waste thanks to the Arcosians. At the rate they were going, she would not be able to show her creation of vertically created organic life. "Huh your still on that stage." Korado came off..a bit arrogant though he didn't intend to. It was just that he knew two people had done that before.
"Now that we were are here. I'll cut the small talk. I didn't come here to work for you. Though it seemed you have a lot of good work going here. I have my own project a secret project. Something I'm doing on my own time. I am recruiting those to help in my goals. Though I am willing to help with some of your projects as well." He would open his bag to reavel Sickle. The slime ball bounced out landing on the floor with a thump. "This is Sickle. He is a biological weapon from my bloodstream. When I first left this planet I crashed on a world filled with a deadly toxin. And he was created when I removed that poison from my body. Something troubled me though, how does something gain sentience and life from an area without life. Sickle was just some virus but somehow it was given life." Korado would pace around the room.
"I stride to find out how life exists. At the start of this universe there of been no life yes? Nothing. But how does something come from nothing? There has to be a reason that has not been found out. Of course, that is something that takes a lot of time to find out. But if you can find that out, then I believe you find out how to stop life and death. You see this war has taken a lot from me. A lot from others as well but I intend to stop that from here on out. I am willing to help you if you help me in my studies. I can put in a good word with you with King Taori. He is related to my..." He trailed off. Amara was dead, she was not coming back at the rate he was going. "Nevermind, but I am sure he'd be willing to let you do his work if he was told it was for the good of his people. Of course it is just an offer, if you don't wanna work together, I understand. I'm some stranger coming in asking for you to gamble on something that we may not find any progress with." Hopefully, she would like his pitch and she be willing to consider helping out.
When Parsella heard Korado ask where she had heard about the attack, she rolled her eyes at such a comment, before walking up to the man, her arms crossed. She had just said that her old lab was one of the casualties of the surprise attack, and here he was just asking where she could have possibly heard it from. For a moment, it seemed as though her face was flushed purple with anger, but as she slowly breathed in and out, she bottled that rage up for later, as she went on to explain herself.
"Where I heard about all that? You think I'd see that my own lab, with all of it's contents within, destroyed by a crashing cruiser and NOT look up what had gone on? Granted, I only have names and descriptions, but what I do know at the very least was that a Arcosian named Blizzard crashed his ship into my city, and now all my stuff is gone. I don't have a face to match to that name, but once I do..."
*SMONK*
Parsella immediately stopped herself with a slap as the elevator opened to it's destination, both to focus on arriving at her office, and so that she could put what monstrous, deplorable things she was about to describe to the side, as she caught herself almost evil monologuing again. Now that they were on the proper floor though, she was quick to cover up what she was about to say as she dragged him in.
"I'm sorry, we'll have to touch on that later, for now let's get you seated."
Following that, Parsella slowly opened up the hatch and floated a chair up with her watery platforms once more, but this time it was a much slower affair as Korado went on to explain his deal. What she took out as most important was the existence of Sickle, the weird little slime ball that seemed to her at least to be a entirely biological creation of artificial life, which was the very thing she was trying to create. She could even hear the creature's power, and although it was somewhat weaker than the Tuffle man, it was still strong enough to tear her to shreds no matter what she tried against it.
And the fact that he was offering her a partnership to help research that sort of stuff? For the first time in her life, Parsella Sage fell in love with someone, and with hearts in her eyes she blindly made a choice that'd probably have ramifications for her whole life.
"I'm hearing what your saying, and I will 100% agree to a collaboration on this big life project of yours, so long as you let me use your resources, such as whatever you used to make this cute little glob." Parsella was about to boop it as she said that, but then she remembered Korado saying that it was poisonous, and refrained from it. "Anyhow, you have the Brussel Science Corps's 100% guaranteed help. Just let me make the perfect life form, and any resource you'll ever need will go through me, so long as that material hasn't been claimed by future Saiyan war efforts."
Korado was interested, guess she had some names and descriptions. People from the ground perhaps. That was very interesting. Guess, it is common knowledge this particularly Arcosian had caused the chaos. he was not going to question too much how she had the information. She must have had her methods and Korado just wanted to focus on his work. If this Blizzard guy was trouble for that then he'd be on the lookout but other than that he didn't care too much. Not like he could hang with a guy that was powerful enough to cause this much damage and chaos to the city. There was a reason he focused on his science work and didn't try instead to stop death by being on the frontlines.
Anyway, Korado seemed to get her on his side pretty quickly. She seemed to be very interested in his work and wanted in on the partnership. She agreed to work together as long as she had access to the resources he had including what had been used to create Sickle. He would glance down for a moment in thought. That was dangerous to give his research to anyone. He didn't know what Parsella might do with it. But at the same time, he was aware that he could just give her weaker versions. He didn't have to give his best tech. The old stuff would work. She explained her goal was to make a perfect life form, so Sickle would be a big help in that. "Right, that is understandable. I'd be careful on stuff like that. I heard a creature with the same sort of vision. Being this perfect being. It name is Virus. He seems to be a far more advanced Bio Android than even what can convince. As for to help with that."
Korado would pull out a small vial and hand it to Parsella. "These are old nanobots. It is what I used to remove the poison from my blood and eventually create Sickle. I can't say how it fully works and I have more advanced ones. But consider this our sign of trust. I'll give you more of my stuff once I know we can fully trust each other. We are still on first base on that front after all." Hopefully, Parsella would understand. She was not going to give him everything she had after just meeting him. At least he imagined that would be the case.
Parsella was very much intrigued when she had heard the Tuffle man mention another Bio Android by the name of Virus. She had no idea who the bug monster was, but apparently this was yet another powerful artificial life form from which the title of "perfect being" fell to, who seemed to worry even him. To her however, this did not manage to bring her fear in the slightest, rather it brought her a lot of scientific curiosity and excitement to figure out what sort of creature they are to be seeking perfection. Perhaps if she was able to hire someone to hunt down a DNA sample of this beast...
...Just as she was about to continue down that path of thought, that was when Parsella was given the nanobots that Korado used to create Sickle. From this single vial was a whole new beginning, something from which she could create many new life forms for her own sinister purposes. Of course, she couldn't let that be known to the man, since he'd probably take them back from her, but as she slid this vial safely into one of her pockets, she extended out a hand for a simple handshake, as a sign of goodwill that she was going to exploit one day.
"Same goes for you as well. But I am sure this is going to be the beginning of a wonderful relationship. After all, both of our researching will lead to a great deal of new discoveries and technologies. And as for being careful in regards of my goals, don't worry. I'd never do anything that'd endanger any lives seriously unless my King demanded me to. I promise to treat these with immense care."
"Now, if I may ask, can you leave this room so that I may properly examine these? I'll be sure to contact you once I'm done, but I'm going to need to look at these nanobots on my own, and learn how to properly use them. I hope you don't mind."
With that, Parsella pointed Korado to the door, waiting for him to leave so that she could begin examining the nanomachines that she was given. Aside from plans to capture and use the DNA of this new artificial perfect being that he had name dropped, she was also thinking about how to maximize the usage of these nanomachines. After all, if they were originally able to create a creature like Sickle, imagine what they could create if she perfected them? Perhaps her ultimate goals were in reach, if she could swallow her pride and actually work with a Tuffle.
Only time would tell...

Korado would take Parsella's hand as they shook on this deal. Whether it would be broken remained to be seen. Korado was not an idiot, a lot of the people he would wanna work with may not have had the same noble intentions as himself. That was why he had to be prepared. He let the handshake linger a bit longer just to show Parsella if he wanted to right now he could throw her across the lab and smash her. Korado didn't like the brutishness of the thought but he was not gonna let his goal be tainted by anyone. The lingering seriousness in his eyes sealed that deal. He was going to stop the violence, break the barrier between life and death. He knew he may need to get his hands dirty to get it done but he would be dammed if he let people use his goodwill against him.
"Yes, our research will do a lot of good. And it is good that you promised that you won't use them for too much harm. I will keep you on the word on that. Hopefully, the King will never ask you to do something that will require you to use my technology in such a manner." He would step back as Parsella noted that she wanted to test the nanobots or at least give them a look. Fair enough, she didn't wanna be handed something that was basically not going to be useful in any way shape, or form. He gave a nod. "Let's go Sickle." The Slime bounced into his bag before the two of them would leave Parsella to her devices.
