Frozen, baring the uncomfortably temperate weather of the planet's eastern side, would venture into the primary city of that region in search of a handyman! Not just ANY handyman would do, however, as he needed someone more specialized: a roboticist. All this time on Earth had given the Arcosian lord, among other things, time to ponder his ruling style and its potential weaknesses, chief among them being those that would open the door to potential insurgents. The conclusion he had come to, given his past experience, was that his throne was empty once too often when he went off-world on diplomatic missions, allowing treachery to stir in the shadows like the spider building a colony. He needed his face on that throne, his voice, even if his body could not be present. A body-double if you will, a copy, from which his will and word can be espoused and his power remaining centralized in his capital, even if he must attend to off-world business.
This was where the roboticist would come in. He had seen and even conversed with some of these Earthling's androids, some even being able to fool the Arcosian into believing they were biological before their true nature was revealed. If he, Frozen, could be tricked so casually by these mechanical beings, then surely he could convince his people that a double of himself was, indeed, himself!
This was why he had come here, to secure his rule if and WHEN he took it back.
Rumor had it that there was a talented young gentleman running about in this city with the technological talent he required. T'was unfortunate indeed that he thought that weather this bright and HOT was suitable for a man of his supposed intellect but then, these aliens seemed to have a penchant for settling wherever there was land, regardless of the climate.
"Ah, excuse me, sir." Frozen walked up to a human male, clad in, what Earthings called "a suit." "Might you know of a local roboticist?"
No.
"Ah, mam! A moment of your time?" Frozen beckoned to a young lady, clad in what might have been a child's school uniform. "Could you point me in the direction of this city's local roboticist?"
Nothing.
"Well... this is inconvenient..." Frozen remarked dryly after questioning a handful of people. "With all the local technology, sentient or otherwise, it is a wonder why this is not common knowledge..."
