As a few more moments ticked by and it became clear that Zerori was not about to immediately decide she hated her and Zuq even seemed to lose all passion for the ongoing conflict Ise was able to mentally recover enough to properly think again, as she did so Zerori made a plea for the four of them to just…. go, leave the fight and presumably sort things out themselves afterward.
It was a request that left Ise VERY torn as she kept herself appraised of the battles still ongoing, she did not particularly like the idea of simply abandoning the fight especially as it seemed that Azoth was in a rather dire looking situation considering the number of strong fighters in his general area.
Ise was also VERY worried as she quietly prompted her visor to put her in contact with Kayfor, he could certainly give her an idea of what was going on and-
Ise paused as her visor indicated that Kayfor’s signal as inactive, an entirely unlikely scenario considering to the best of her knowledge he WAS his own scouter. It then prompted her on a message from Kayfor, previously undelivered due to the fact she had been in the middle of decking Zuqetta.
She could hardly believe the content of the message and it prompted a surge of power from her, Kayfor was… hurt… she refused to accept the alternative but as she attempted to parse things and Zriracha weighed in Ise was left trying to figure out what to DO, surely this was MORE reason for her to rush over and join the fight against Azoth who was pretty clearly the one who would have… hurt Kayfor.
But then very suddenly Azoth’s power seemed to vanish shortly after he was struck by an attack, Ise was roughly certain it was not possible he had just DIED from the attack. It was nowhere near strong enough unless Kayfor had been insanely strong. But it DID mean if he was not simply sprawled out on the ground that he could freely escape.
Ise grit her teeth in frustration as she was STILL tempted to hunt him down, if anyone could find him she was SURE she could. Zerori seemed to take the vanishing of Azoth’s power as more incentive to go and pushed harder for them to all just GO.
Ise was left with a VERY difficult choice, continue her pursuit of Azoth and very likely further damage things with Zerori but perhaps FINALLY get a chance to take him down if he really was seriously injured…. or go with her and make sure they sorted everything out.
At first it was VERY tempting to let her fury take hold again and rush after Azoth, he had taken her Father from her and now he may have taken Kayfor as well. But.
Kayfor VERY specifically would not have wanted that and the last time she had ignored him and let her anger take hold all she had really gotten was Vocado getting nearly killed and an understanding that Azoth was too strong to take on alone.
So was pursuing Azoth worth ignoring Kayfor AGAIN and potentially losing Zerori? Putting it like that made even debating it briefly seem foolish even if the temptation remained. Ise let out a long sigh as she turned to ‘look’ at the area where Azoth and Kayfor had been fighting and after a moment her decision was made.
Azoth was not worth losing more of those important to her.
Silently Ise would return her focus to Zerori and give her a short nod before following her off the battlefield.
