BACKGROUND
Tala's body originally belonged to that of one Tala Selao, a university student that prematurely meet his end. Before he had died however, he had signed a form that would allow his body to be used in the advancement of science. In comes Professor Mica, the leading mind on hard light creations. She was given a task of creating an android that could make use of this hard light tech. So Tala's body used as the starting point for this.So Mica moved to a remote research facility in the desert, taking her son, Rangi, with her. While he doesn't remember anything from his previously life, he opted to keep his name after being turned on for the first time. Everything had seemed to be working fine and Mica had introduced her latest creation to her son, who instantly hit it off as friends.The next few weeks passed by as Mica ran tests to check and see how he was operating before an explosion rocked the facility. Fearing for her son's safety, Mica sent Tala to retrieve her son while she backed up her research and checked the security footage. He successfully made it to Rangi, who was a little frightened but relatively unharmed. He brought the scared boy back to his mother's lab but they found it to be empty as she had seemingly vanished.Before they could question where she had gone, a stronger blast rocked the facility once more and brought it down upon them. Luckily Tala had been able to create a barrier around them and sheltered them from the damage. A few hours later they emerged from the rubble, in the middle of the desert with only the tracks of whoever came and took his creator, leaving him with many questions and her frightened and worried child.

OVERDRIVE
Increase KP gain by 1 for 1 turn. The next turn you would regain KP normally, you don’t.
ENDLESS ENERGY CORE
Once per thread, you can damage yourself to regain momentum. Every 1 point of Momentum gained deals 10% damage. You cannot spend MP until you have finished gaining MP through this trait.
STEEL SKIN
Increases the total damage you can sustain by 20%, and increases your Critical Damage Threshold by 30%.
ANTISENSE
Your ki is invisible to energy sensing and scouters, even in the midst of combat - this can be toggled on and off. In addition, escape techniques have a boost of +20% to their total effectiveness and your first escape technique per thread costs no KP.
IMPOSSIBLE RECOVERY
If you are defeated by taking Critical Damage in an Action Thread, you can choose to be dealt a Wound and continue the fight with whatever HP you have remaining. If defeated again, you will be dealt an additional Wound. In a non-AT thread, this allows you to resist Critical Damage once, and you do not sustain a wound.
Medium Attack Technique || Hard Light Barrage
Tala reinforces his fists with hard light and he then strikes his opponent in a flurry of quick blows ending with a rising uppercut.

Heavy Defense Technique || Hard Light Barrier
Tala creates a large and powerful shield made of hard light that can withstand quite a bit of damage. He can use it to envelop himself or an ally of his choice.

Heavy Defense Sparking Technique || Hard Light Case
Tala's ultimate defense technique. In the face of an oncoming attack, Tala can cover his body in a case of strong and reinforced hard light that can end up reflecting some attacks back to the Attacker.
Power: 70%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Reflective***, Reflective+****
Support Technique || Hard Light Flash
You release a blinding flash of light, replicating the sun's rays. This allows you to attempt to escape any thread or travel between splits in an Action Thread more safely. This technique valued at 60% of your total power and requires 2 KP to use. In order to stop you, a player must use an attack that is superior in power to your Hard Light Flash. You cannot undo your escape via Hard Light Flash if you are successful, but you can use KP to defend if it is overcome
Utility Technique || Hard Light Constructs
Thanks to the technology that makes up Tala's system, he's able to make weapons and constructs out of hard light with much ease and speed although the bigger and more complicated constructs require more focus. This technique is passive and does not require KP use. (Reflavoured Magic Materialization)
Utility Technique || Ki Suppression
Skilled control over your ki allows you to suppress your Power Level to a minimum of 1 PL to either hide or use this lower PL to fight characters weaker than your full strength on even footing. This technique is passive and does not require KP use.
*Shield: Should your defensive technique break, you reduce the oncoming damage by 30% of its total Power if your PL is within at least 60% of the attack’s remaining PL.
**Distanced: You deploy your barrier for an ally. You calculate its Power using your PL as per usual, but your ally must deal with the bleed-through damage instead of yourself. The ally may still use their own Defensive technique, and only one Distanced barrier can be used upon a character at once.
***Reflective: Should your Defensive Technique remain unbroken, you fire its remaining PL at an opponent as an Attack Technique with a +20% bonus to its power.
****Reflective+: If your shield loses at least 50% of its power, double the power of the attack generated by Reflective.
