So Saiba-Ban was looking around the planet, he was thinking of what he could do as a new member of the Dirty Snakes to make them even more powerful while still being under the radar. Things he could suggest to Derry then take action. He was good at making that quick buck and then generating it up. Make himself a new business to run. His Gas Station was a somewhat distance memory at this point. Earth was probably going to be main base of operations for the time being.
Unless the Dirty Snakes went universal or he got kicked out for some reason, he had almost no reason to go anywhere else. Maybe back to Plant to help out the saibaman when Jawbones was not in the way. Other then that almost no reason. Anyway his thinking was to look at the ports. This planet had a lot of ocean. And how did goods get transported across this planet. Well ships of course. So if one controlled the ships they could control the commerce. Get a small cut, then ship it through to clean it all up. It was such a big industry that no one would notice if they took a small drop of it. And with Derry was President? They could do it easily! But first he needed some cash. That was what he was going to have to figure out as he walked through the city. A way to make himself some money to put this perfect plan into action.
UGH! This had to be the WORST place on planet Earth! Yeah, cities were stinky and smoggy, yeah deserts got sand all up in places you wouldn't believe and YES the north had cold so brutal it would freeze the most gelatinous of majin... BUT AT LEAST THEY DIDN'T SMELL LIKE DAY-OLD FISH! The fact this place was beautiful (or so she was told) just made it all worse. She couldn't BELIEVE people would spend all that time making this place aesthetically pleasing when the ports, where the most significant of business was found, all smelled like salt and, rotting meat and SMOG! The little blue girl found herself clutching at her mouth and nose with her hands as she stumbled through this part of town, doing her best to look normal while her senses suffered the equivalent of smelling-salt air!
Blegh... It was a good thing she didn't eat before she came to this part of town or the smell of fresh candy-vomit would have mixed in noxiously with the surrounding musk. ...AND IT WASN'T LIKE SHE HAD BUSINESS HERE! NOT REALLY! She just thought... you know... she should go to other places, meet new people... But whenever she tried to talk, she just got a mouthful of port-air! Telepathy just scared people and trying to spell out words with her tentacles only got her blank stares! What SHE didn't understand, though, was how these people could STAND the smell around them! It was as if it weren't there with how lively and expressive everyone was! Heck, it was almost like everyone had a personal air-freshening-field preventing them from the smog!
...She was gonna have a headache before she was satisfied with her tour, she thought... If only Tiamat was here... At least then, she wouldn't go to bed with a pounding skull...
And speaking of skulls...
The majin would catch sight of a rather dapper-dressed big-headed green-man that ALMOST resembled a Namekian, but with a long indent running down the center of his skull with vein-like lines arching along the sides. His eyes were different too, as well as his hands, red scalara and long, three-fingered claws assigned to both respectively. He seemed to be watching the ships at the outer-edges of the docks with serious intent, his expression hard and focused...
Thinking... Different than the other people around here...
Deciding to overrule her survival instinct, Liari would lower her hands from her face, take a BIG breath of toxic, salt-encrusted smog and wander as casually as she could up to the suited saiba-man, her hands folded behind her head in a stance mimicking some kids from earlier. It... looked kinda comfortable, right?
"Those big boats." She would say, nodding at some of the MASSIVE crew-liners docked. "Maybe biggest boats ever saw. Wonder how they make one... Wonder who thought they good idea..."
Saiba-Ban was still thinking what he was going to do but he sensed a massive power that was nearby. What the heck? He glanced to see a blue skinned Majin in the area. She must be giving off the power. <62,000> was insane. Why was everyone in the universe so strong! He thought his base power was not bad but even at his best this Majin would still defeat him. What the heck! Maybe she would be the type that he could get some investment from. If she was that strong she must been around nd gotten herself some money. She even seemed already heading his way. So he didn't have to seek her out. This was going pretty well to start but it would be a bit to see if things truly worked out her way. However, as she came over she talked..like a kid. She seemed to be pretty young despite her strength. "Alrighty...yah these boats how their made. I don't exactly know why people decided to make boats. But I image is to was to get across the sea it is not as if everyone can fly." He couldn't even fly that good but that was besides the point. "What's your name by the way?" Yes, he'd ask that and then see if she had any money.

Liari gave the man an odd look as he answered her question rather... flatly, assuming she meant "boats" in general rather than "THESE boats!" These BIG cargo boats that were so large, smelly and gross! She KNEW what boats were! She GOT that they were used to help people get from place-to-place! What, did he think she arrived here YESTERDAY?
"...I know what boat is..." She grumbled, her brow furrowing and the short, green gentleman. "...I mean why these BIG boats? It stupid to carry big boxes over water! Water dangerous! It MEAN sometimes! It go on FOREVER too! ...And boat smell... REALLY bad...." As if to emphasize that point, she waved her hand in front of her noseless faces as if to fan away the smog, her expression growing more disquieted due to the surrounding stink! Ugh... How did humans LIVE like this!? She could practically feel the smell seeping into her skin already like it were some kind of slime!
...But a better question was WHY was THIS GUY here? He was dressed up like he was going to work or something, a lot like those humans behind hotel-desks or in city-transit! This place, with all its resorts, sunshine and DISGUSTING boats, appeared to Liari to be the LAST PLACE someone would want to wear one of those tight, form-fitting suits! Maybe... he was on a business-trip himself...? Perhaps he was an inspector...? Tiamat had told her about those, people payed to look at other places...
...Sounds like her kind of job...
"Why you here anyway?" She questioned, crossing her arms over her chest and tilting her head. "You not look like you belong... Look like you about to... uh..." Her eyes dulled for a moment, her attention being drawn away. "...Sell... something...?" Was that the word? "Sell?" She was getting better, learning how humans talked, what words they used and what they meant... Heck, her speech-patterns were even improving... if only a little bit at a time! Soon, she would talk as smoothly as everyone else! Soon, she wouldn't just be the "stupid kid too young to be president" or the "stupid kid not wise enough to be god." She was gonna show them all...
SHE WAS SMART TOO!
"I Liari. I older than I look, I smarter than I sound! Anyone who tell you else is STUPID." Her expression hardened seriously for a moment, DRIVING HOME the conviction in her words... before they softened once more. "What YOU name, then?"
"Why are they big boats? That is your confusion?" He thought he had already explained it. She assumed it was dangerous to take the packages over the water, it take a long time as well. The only point he really agreed with was that they smelled bad. Yeah, that was pretty true. "Well, not people are as fast as you and I are probably. And these ships are big to survive the crashing waves that you pointed out are really dangerous. Still, it is dangerous work. These people work really hard to bring these packages to people who might need them." That was what they were used for. Same idea as large trading vessels in space. It was not safe to work but someone had to do it. For that, he had some respect for those doing that work.
As for her question of why he was here he laughed a bit. "Yah I am the type to buy and sell things. I am thinking of maybe getting a boat. It is something that could make a good business." Saiba-Ban glanced at the boats. "Take it sailing around and make some good money on it." Anyway, after that thought, Liari began a little rant. Something about her wanted to prove how smart she was. Anyone who told him anything else was stupid. Guess someone had made her feel foolish so now she wanted to make sure it never happened again? That was the vibe he got from it. He would make sure to not poke that with any form of stick. Oh and is the name right he should introduce himself. "Liari huh? I am Saiba-Ban." He would offer his clawed hand to shake Liari's hand.
Last Edit: Nov 18, 2021 23:26:19 GMT -5 by Saiba-Ban
"That another thing." Liari would point out, steam PUFFING out of the holes lining her arms! "Why ARE humans so slow!? They not stupid... a lot aren't, anyway... They learn to fly too! They can be strong too! It like they WANT to be weak! They WANT to rely on other thing to do work for them! It... hurt brain to think about..." She just didn't get it... if EVERYONE was as strong as she was, there would be no need for these big, stinky boats, cars or planes! Everyone would be able to go where they want, have the strength to take whatever they want and have to power to anything anywhere they want! They would have AGENCY! Subject to NOBODY!
...Why did they want this...? She didn't get it...
Saiba-ban would acknowledge that, indeed, he was a seller of things and that he himself was thinking of getting his own boat to ferry his goods elsewhere. The majin only groaned at the thought. Goody! Another big, hulking tanker floating like a piece of garbage through the ocean, pumping its SMOG where she flies! Liari didn't NEED to breath, after all, her body is virtually self-sufficient in that regard, but it felt GOOD sometimes! Blah... She was just going to have to cope with that, wasn't she...
The well-dressed creature would then extend his hand and introduce himself, the majin mimicking the gesture and taking his hand in hers! YUP! It felt just the way it looked. His claws were cool and smooth like the long fangs of a cat, his skin smooth and curved like the rolling hills in the west! It was kinda like shaking hands with a lizard... or how she imagined it to be, anyway!
"...You not from Earth..." Liari would remark, staring into the deep red eyes of the saibaman! Her own narrowed in contemplation as she pulled her hand back, her tentacles twitching lightly in thought. "You not Namekian either... You something different..."
"Well, not all humans can use Ki." Liari really didn't seem to know these people that well. Not everyone could be or wanted to be as strong as them. Hell in his perfect world he would not need to fight at all. But here he was forced to fight against strong foes for his survival. Good thing he was on earth now that seems to mean things were changing for the better. At least he hoped that was the case. "And yeah some people don't wanna be super strong. Some people like relaxing or being at peace. That is what this planet cultivates. Other planets seem to be at war all the time. You have no choice but to be strong. But if given the choice between the restless pursuit of strength or just relaxing. Most people choose the latter." Yeah, that seemed to make a lot of sense.
She then asked if he was not from the earth which he gave a nod to. "I am from plant." He would point his other hand towards the stars. "IT is pretty far away from here." She might have been to plant before? Considering how strong she was, Saiba-Ban would not be surprised if that was the case. So he was going to assume it was not the case until proven otherwise. "I am a Saibaman. They are three species that live on plant right now. Saibaman was there first but they are the least advanced. So people treat them more like animals than humanoid beings. I am one of the few with the ability to communicate with others." He was also smarter than all of them but it was an unfair thing to say. Saibaman had a culture, just one he didn't fully understand.

"I KNOW they no use ki! That REEEEEEAL OBVIOUS!" Liari grumbled, more steam POOOFING out of her arms! Saiba would then attempt to explain their behavior as humans being LAZY and STUPID (her interpretation) through their inherent pacifism and belief in their own safe and quiet life! Liari would give the short, green man a look of distaste... but not one directly targeted towards him. After all, he was merely a messenger. "But they act like war not come to THEM! It not like this place any different than anywhere else! A BAD GUY RUNS WORLD NOW!! It like they not care if they die tomorrow! It like they not thing anything bad ever happen to them!"
Bah! She didn't GET IT!
She didn't get why THEY didn't get it! Had they never had to fight off a bad-guy before? Have they never had to watch a police-man get hurt REALLY BAD trying to save them and think "Hm.... Maybe I shouldn't be useless next time! Maybe I save THEM next time!"
"Bet they complain when thing happen..." She grumbled, shaking her head. "Bet they think it someone else fault when they get hurt... Stupid, stupid, stupid..."
What was worse was that Liari would have DONE something about it! She tried TWICE to be proactive, to make them strong so they COULD be free! She wanted to make it so everyone was strong... So nobody had to worry about... say... A BAD GUY TAKING OVER THE GOVERNMENT! People like that could be stopped! But it didn't look like anyone cared! EVEN THE STRONG PEOPLE! WAS SHE THE ONLY ONE SEEING THIS!? Just thinking about it made her blue-blood boil! ...Literally. Steam was still flowing out of the majin in steady streams! She tried... She tried to be president, whatever that was, but she was barred at the gates on account of her being "too young." TOO YOUNG! She was older than the entire PLANET and she was "TOO YOUNG!" Then, once that attempt at benevolence failed, she tried to go OVER Derry's head and become god! But then again, she was REJECTED AND THIS TIME, SHE DIDN'T EVEN GET A REASON! Jackie was all nice and fun and entertaining and all that, but what was she gonna DO with that position!? Watch as DERRY RUNS IT INTO THE GROUND!?
She HATED this, this powerlessness! It was like being in the ball again except this time the walls were closing in on her slowly, limiting what she could do! It was unbelievable... This place was her sanctum while she gathered herself for so long... but it was like it didn't WANT her here anymore!
What Saiba told her didn't help her mood, either. While hearing that the suited alien was from Plant caught her attention, his revelation that his race was practically ENSLAVED up there... boiled over Liari's temper!
"THEY WHAT!?" She exploded, her voice BLASTING out of her like the shockwave from an explosion, blowing loose rock, plant-matter and... well... anything that wasn't heavy or bolted down away! She had even managed to attract the attention of, like, everyone in the area... but it wasn't like she noticed! Her jaw clenched in a furious snarl, steam coming out in PLUMES as the harsh whistle cut through the air! PLANT WAS TREATING PEOPLE LIKE ANIMALS!? It was ONE thing to wage war! War can be justified! People have fought for good reasons! BUT PUTTING THIS GUY'S RACE, HIS WHOLE RACE INTO SLAVERY!? It was all Liari could do to keep her power from BURSTING out of control!
"I was just THERE!" She growled, her fingers clenched TIGHTLY into fists! "I could have HELPED... I... I..."
She claimed that a bad person ran the planet now and the war was coming. Saiba-Ban looked confused. "Huh, that Derry guy seems to be pretty cool." Did she know Derry was a dirty snake? He was not going to assume that was the case right away but that was concerning. Acting like he didn't actually know she was telling the truth would be good for two reasons. To see how much information she knew and if she was a danger to Derry and his operation. If she was then he'd do his diligence and alert him to the threat right away. Either way she seemed to be generally annoyed everyone was not fighting all the time. She sounded like how a Saiyan might look at this situation. At least that was the vibe he got from this.
She was really loud too. She screamed out as he explained the saibaman situation. "You're so loud you need to relax jeez." Saiba-Ban picked at his ears. He imagined a ton of people were looking at them right now all confused about what was going on. She was certainly not subtle at all. She even had thrown some stuff around with yelling. He glanced at his suit there was dirt all over that he brushed off. "Well don't feel so bad it's been like that for a long time. Both the Saiyans and tuffles. Saiyans have like saibaman farms basically. And the tuffles, well some tuffles are not very ethical. They like testing science stuff. I was in a unit of saibaman that were basically shock troopers in the war. I escaped that and tried to become king of plant. That didn't go well. I'm not that strong so. Now I am just gonna make a living here. That the life I wanna live."
Last Edit: Nov 20, 2021 21:56:20 GMT -5 by Saiba-Ban
Liari blinked in surprise as the short, suited green-guy remarked how "cool" Derry sounded. Was he deaf...? Deaf AND stupid? In what universe did "bad" equal "good!?" What was more, he seemed more than content with his people's situation, remarking that they had been enslaved for a "long time." SO THAT MADE IT OKAY!? The little blue girl FUMED even more at the alien's apparent backwards nonchalant-ness! HOW COULD BE JUST BE OKAY WITH ALL THIS!? And now he was running AWAY from his people after trying to be their king!?
...Just what kind of casual, morally inept coward was she speaking too right now!?
"I no believe you can sit here and pretend everything okay." Liari growled, her eyes flashing a serious red. "You no should be here. You should be on Plant, helping free saibamen! Not sit here in comfy suit, letting them be controlled! You not know that BAD THING!?" Liari got right up in the man's face as he beckoned her to calm down, seemingly not taking to kindly to the attention Liari was attracting! She didn't care... Heck, she didn't even notice! All she could see was someone who could, in one breath, note his people's oppression and then, in another, express how she shouldn't care! It was as if she were staring down the face of fatalism in this man, someone who just seemed to accept every scrap of misfortune life threw at him! "Couldn't be king...? Awh, I'll give up! Can't save people now? Leave them to their fate! Derry is a bad guy...? Eh, sounds alright to me!"
"You wanna live like weak person...?" The majin snarled angrily! "You wanna let people like you live and die under someone else foot!? Why!? Why you just let that happen!? Why you act like Derry, letting own people hurt!? It not right!"
This coming from someone who was under the jurisdiction of someone for the first third of her life and imprisoned for the second. She knew how these saibamen must feel. ...And having the ONE person who might be able AND WILLING to help them just... dump that responsibility off on someone else, ANYONE ELSE... Oh, how her temper flared!
"I wanna hit you really hard..." She rumbled, her aura starting to FLARE UP... as Saibaban casually dusted off his suit. "I wanna make you feel what they feel... Maybe you understand THEN..."
"I never said things were ok. But your yelling like crazy about it. It is how things have been for a long time. I can't control it. I can't do much about it right now. So I come here to make some money, a reputation. I will play their system. If they're gonna sell my kind like cattle, I'll just buy them all and free them. Instead of throwing fists. Not everything has to be solved with violence." Saiba-Ban imagined Liari really was one of those fighter types. But he was not a fan of that. Especially since Liari was now in his face and really did seem to be angry about all of this. Guess he understood it from the sense of Liari is a good person. But from a logical standpoint, he couldn't do much about it with his strength. Nor did he want to do anything with just force.
Liari asked if he wanted to live like a weak person as he just nodded. "Well, yeah I guess. I dealt with someone who wanted to live like a strong person starting fights. Almost killed me twice. So you know that not how I role." But still, she was accusing Derry of letting her own people get hurt. "Wait what did he do? I'm curious. I wanna know what you're saying he is doing. If the leader of the planet is hurting people then people should know. So they can make their voices heard." She was just saying words with no evidence. Not that he thought she was lying. But he thought Derry was a bit more careful. All of this thought really seemed to bring Liari to a breaking point as she admitted she wanted to punch him. "No, I don't wanna get punched!" Saiba-Ban was annoyed. Why did everyone wanna solve the difference with punches! He just got this suit too!
Last Edit: Nov 21, 2021 13:44:08 GMT -5 by Saiba-Ban
"YOU SAY THAT LIKE IT OKAY!" Liari ROARED, as Saibaban attempted SOME KIND of justification for his inaction! Oh, he was weak. Oh, he couldn't do anything... THEN STOP STANDING THERE LIKE A LEMON AND GET STRONGER! He even had the gall to offer some kind of "plan" to solve this conundrum, stating that he would just buy his slaves and set them free! No harm, no fowl! ...Except anyone who frequented a candy-shop enough knew that sometimes they wouldn't sell you what you wanted. Sometimes supply was low and needed to be clung to until more came in. What would happen when his money couldn't buy any more saibas? What if they found out he was letting them go and decided to just... round them up again?
"You talk like they just let you do that!" Liari stated, stamping her foot in anger! "You not first or most important person they sell to! They stop giving when they find out what you doing... or just... take then when they free again! You not help ANYONE this way!" Saibaban would then remark that he had lived the proactive life once before and almost died twice as a result. His conclusion, then, was that he just wasn't suited for it. Steam was blatantly spilling out of Liari's arms at this point, FUMING with the screech of a heating tea-pot as she glared down the little-green-man. How did he not GET IT!? He had to kill the problem at the source! He had to SQUASH the oppressors underfoot! They don't LISTEN any other way! They don't CARE! What they have is dominion and they aren't gonna give that up without a fist-print in their skulls!
"...I not wait for you." Liari concluded, her anger SNAPPING into something more cold... harsh and quiet. "...You not listen. I fix it myself."
The conversation would continue and Saibaban would take note of how Liari spoke of Derry, curious as to why she felt that way.
"They not know because they stupid, Saiba." Liari flatly stated, her voice going lower and rougher. "They not strong, they not care who in charge. I saw him tie guy to chair and beat him until he cry. I saw him burn warehouse down for fun. I saw him with his friends attack lady in alley! I saw because I try to stop him all those times! But THEY don't! They not CARE. 'So they voices can be heard...' If they strong, they would KNOW!"
Liari's eyes flashed silver, the teeth behind her snarl almost seeming to elongate into fangs.
"You not gonna solve anything with 'money.' Money for weak people who not know anything about universe."
"I say likes it's ok cause I don't try to get heated about stuff I can't fix. Why stress yourself out when you can't do a thing about it at the moment. I take things in a calculated manner. That is just how I run." But it seemed that she was not that way. She was the type that just did action even if it didn't result in any good. No Saiba-Ban was not that type. He would like to create actual results in the things that it resonated with him to change. That was just how the Saibaman operated.
But that just seemed to piss off Liari. She even noted that it would not change anything as they would just take them when freed or when they realized what he was doing. "And by the time that happens? They won't have anything left. I'll take what I need to play the system until I can overthrow it. That is how someone lives in this world when they cannot force them to." Saiba-Ban huffed. Whatever, Liari was going to be this way and she seemed to be getting heated about it. So maybe he should just surrender to agree with her, and let her move on. That was just how you had to take some of these people sadly. Nod along with them until they walk away.
As for Derry, she explained what she knew. Apparently, he had beaten a guy down and tied him to a chair. He burned a warehouse down for fun. He saw his friends attack a lady in an alleyway. She had tried to stop him all of these times. "Oh well those are really bad things if they are true. Now keep in mind, I ain't saying your lying. But you can't just say something and expect everyone to think it's true. You have to prove it's true. Right? Evidence always has to side with the one telling the story. So maybe you do that if you wanna show people he is bad. Then they are processed to try to overthrow him on the planet." Saiba-Ban knew it was stupid to fold out he worked with Derry. But he thought Derry was smarter than this. He doubted anyone would believe the Majin but the chance they did was bad enough news. It was something that have to be taken care of.

How self-assured this saibaman was when playing with other people's lives. Obviously it'd be okay! After all, I'm taking my time, away from the danger! Safe, secure, comfortable... I'll save them on my own time! Trust me! Bah. The words of a bureaucrat... or something like that. It sounded lazy at best, and a lie at worst, a fat cat willing to do its job only on ITS schedule. Whatever. Liari would only snort and look away in disgust, feeling sick to her stomach. She really had a hard time believing Earth was full of such bad people. It had been so NICE before... Where did all these nasty folks come from!?
...It was probably Derry's doing, that rat... Letting in all this rabble... Mucking up her world. If only she was stronger... If ONLY she could get rid of him... Like Virus... Yeah, he ran away because she was too strong! If she could just grow a little more...
Saibaban would interrupt Liari's thought-process, remarking how the majin just couldn't go around saying those things. She needed proof!
"You want proof...?" She said sharply, whirling around and pressing a finger between the eyes of the green-man! Suddenly, images of the entire events would flash across Saibaban's mind: Those of Derry standing over a man tied to a chair as he cried and begged, his face mangled and body ragged. The image would fade into another of a warehouse ablaze in pink, Derry inside his pink mech-suit with his hands cupping fireballs. Finally, another transition would fade into an alley-way, several goons with weapons going up to Derry, referring to him as "boss." What was more, Derry would ADMIT to their crimes of trying to rob an old lady!
The majin would retract her finger and scowl wordlessly at suited Saiba, staring at him expectantly. This was all she had, but that was enough. Derry was BAD! OBVIOUSLY BAD! Why was it so hard for people to READ THAT in him!?
"THAT proof. I bet he not even lie if you ask."
WC: 342 TWC: 3089
Liari uses Telepathy (Local) to flash images of Derry's misconduct into Saibaban's mind!
Oh, she had proof? Oh, that was neat let's see how she had proof. She touched his head and flooded memories into his head. "!" Saiba-Ban powered up very quickly his skin turning red. No this didn't feel right at all. His head hurt so bad when she did that. It was like that time with Ollo and Sing. His head rang hard. But he could still see the memories flooding in with all the bad things that Derry had done. Proof that Liari was seeking to show. It flooded into his mind like a painful memory. His hand would try to push her away and breathe out. "No!" Don't do that to me. Don't put that in my head. It hurts."
Why did his head ring when that stuff happened? Was it some sort of trauma to his brain? Cause whenever that stuff processed lately it caused him a lot of pain. He didn't understand it and he had not even realized he had just grabbed tried to grab Liari and stop her from doing that. "Sorry...that just my reaction to stuff like that. It really messed with my head. I didn't mean to swipe at you. I should have told you not to do that." Not that he knew she could have done that but he like to play this off as a happy accident. Not make her feel offended. He would take in a few breaths to compose himself. "I see that..but it's sorta hard to show everyone those things. But they seem real like you implanted me with your memories or something?" He was curious how it worked even if he would never want to use it.
