Ward seemed to know what made the monkey tick. But from the catto's point of view, this couldn't be anything other than condescension. There was hardly a lull in his attack, only really stopping after one of his bigger attacks. Something which he didn't like doing cause it left you too open! Whatever this guy's game, he'd get another snarl from the young Saiyan as he tried prodding more into the arms. Seems he didn't get too far with it though, even with Ward on the ropes and constant defense. Seems he realized that too and hopped away from Dark's grasp!

Dark was just about ready to lunge after him too if he didn't start charging something up in his hands. Something large enough to cause a rumbling in the skies. Each little vibration, the young cat could sense. It made his ears twitch. And soon, the smell of burning air caused his nose to perk up. Directing his gaze from Ward further up into the clearing around them. The sky looked like it was falling.

Another new one from this mysterious man. Dark popped his knuckles and decided the best recourse was to continue going after the source then. All the while he had some new obstacles in this falling debris. Ward luckily wasn't too far away in the grand scheme of everything. It'd take just one well-placed jump to be upon him again. He'd have to navigate past a few of them as they started smashing into the ground.

He'd lower himself into a crouch after a few dodges, suddenly pouncing outwards towards the Shinjin. One of the falling rocks look to be dangerously close to this young man in his trajectory, but something happened as he leapt. Dark spun with his fists held outwards. Suddenly turning into a blur of speed and energy. it'd drill past this crashing rock, blasting it to bits, before suddenly careening at the mystery man with the force of a cat-saiyan-sized drill. Attempting to put that wild force down and past the man's center of mass and crater him where he stood!

Dark used a 6MP Ki Reduction to launch Violent Corkscrew (~~4KP~~2KP 70% | 4,900) @ Ward!

As the sky cried large rocks, each one seemed to miss Ward, either by enough that it didn't matter or the slightest or margins that seemed as if they were unable to strike him regardless how close to him they fell. He knew full well this wasn't going to do damage to his opponent enough to win this fight but it wasn't meant to either. Despite Dark jumping towards him Ward didn't seem as keen to move this time, keeping his palms together for a moment, then raising them high and slinging them down as the rocks started to fall much faster.

Ward's attention shifted away for just a moment, but he still hadn't moved nor did it look like he was trying to defend himself strangely. Slowly his arms began to spread wider as did his stance, turning back and staring down the Saiyan, looking to hold his breath as they were within striking range if he wanted to meet them head on. The trained eye might have noticed as the energy began to rise from Dark that Ward's thighs began to flex as if he was about to launch himself forward, and especially as his calves did the same, but he still hadn't moved otherwise.

He could feel the attack's energy closing in but still Ward didn't budge, staring down Dark as his palms opened and his eyes closed, looking vulnerable. It seemed as if Ward was going to take a second shot, but it was hard to tell what he was playing at now if he wasn't going to defend himself for a second time. The instance Dark's aura as much as touched Ward's clothing he was suddenly gone. There was no sign of him sprinting out of the way, no footprints, no displaced ground from him pushing off, just no Ward at all.

For at least a moment Ward's energy was gone, but it returned as quick as a blink, though it was not where Ward had previously been. Standing and facing towards Dark, there was Ward, bent down with his palms on the ground. From behind and partially around him a mirrored surface began to push from the ground. Though given Ward's magic there was no need as he could simply create the mirror, it was for dramatic effect. It stopped no more than six foot from the ground, but given that Ward wasn't exactly tall at a towering five-foot seven-inches, it was still managing to caste a shadow over him. From above the rocks looked to stop falling with Ward not directly focusing on creating or directing them, but left the battlefield scattered with various sized rocks in a fairly wide area.

Now that was awkward. Dark couldn't so much control his trajectory by the time his body turned into a beyblade, so his travel towards the shinjin couldn't be stopped. Once the man dipped out in an instant the saiyan tumbled into the ground. Digging a shallow tunnel at the angle of impact before spitting him out in a tumble. Dirt and grime left around his shoulders and hair from where he kicked up so much dirt. The cat was quick to pull himself up from the ground.

"Okay..."
Dark sounded a bit deflated he didn't make a mark, assuming Ward was going to brace for it with how long he lingered before teleporting away. Frustrated in the ease that Ward seemed to just move around him. Still... He at least had to move. Some of the brawnier punks were no fun to fight just because of the sheer difference in strength. Not many opponents around on Plant would let their egos die in order to have a 'fair' fight.

Speaking of, what was this he was doing? The saiyan dusted some of that dirt off his shoulders and hair with a twitch of his ears while looking at this strange display. The raining comets died down, with only crates and disturbed dirt to show for themselves now. It was a bit confusing to fight someone like this, with no straightforward technique to speak of. Well, if he was just going to stay and summon up random stuff from the skies or the ground...

Dark held a palm out at ward. Creating that familiar blue ball of ki from it. It'd only linger there for a moment before shrinking to about half size and turning into that usual electric yellow. Sparking with that same energy. This ball of ki was dense, and shot out like a near bullet from his palm. Trying to catch the shinjin in the arm while he was busy.

Throughout the fight Ward had looked like a combination of focused and distracted, but right now he looked as if he was in a near trance state with his eyes closed and his face close to the ground. His immediate focus was on something specific, but at no moment did he stop keeping track of the Saiyan, sensing their energy as closely as he could without taking his attention off his task. As the mirror came to a stop from the ground Ward had missed Dark's crash as well as getting back to his feet, but it was only a matter of moments before his full attention would be right back on Dark once more.

Both of his palms were pressing hard into the ground, beginning to move a few inches deep, but the other two he had manifested earlier were beginning to lift and as they did the mirror was glow a barely noticeable faint light blue. For a split second Ward twitched as he felt a surge of energy from Dark, but his body didn't move otherwise, the mirror however was starting to glow much more noticeably as what looked like a pair of arms stuck out from the center right behind Ward, each palm falling flat against the glass as if pulling itself free as a strange looking mannequin creature stepped free with an awkward off-balanced stance. The creature looked to be made of a bland white material, no features on its head but a smooth shape, but the rest of its body was fairly accurate similar to that of any other humanoid. It had arms with joins and hands with fingers the same as legs with feet and toes and the necessary joints, but there would be no mistaking this thing for a Saiyan, Shinjin, or anything else resembling either.

Feeling the energy release and now traveling towards him, one of the raised arms pointed and the creature looked to move unnaturally quickly into the path of the incoming energy. Slowly Ward began to stand and clapped all four palms together as the creation and the ball of his collided, causing the creation to explode into a cloud of dust, momentarily causing a shroud between Dark and Ward, but for no more than a few seconds. Once the cloud settled, another of the creatures looked to be climbing its way out of the mirror behind Ward, stumbling to get footing as if it had never used its legs before. Even though there were no eyes to look over at Dark, it turned its head as if it were staring for a moment, shuffling toward them, its head flopped to the left side for a moment until it shifted to the right with its torso shifting. Behind it Ward help his arms up, but it didn't look I he was directly controlling it, or at least not in any obvious fashion.

So that was the game. These unsettling creatures of white, molded from the mirrored surface that peered into their world. It came out and took the hit for what was clearly meant for Ward. The saiyan was tempted to just send a volley of energy at the Shinjin there, but he somehow doubted the same result wouldn't come out of it. It'd be easier to deal with them now than trying to brute force his path towards his opponent.

"That's fine. I don't mind some extra bodies to punch!"
He'd roar, the youth leaping at the white creature that started its way in a stumble towards him. He doubts the creature had the fortitude to stand up to him passed a few punches if a ki blast absolutely destroyed it. Solution? His fists would glow that empowered yellow again mid-jump. He would come in first with a kick to the temple in order to throw it off. Trying to make it stumble around before extending his fingers out and skewering the thing's chest open with his hand.

"Hya!"
With it buried deep, he'd then try swiping to the side to bisect the creature at the torso, moving his body with the momentum which, coincidently, had him pointed at the Shinjin. Hands still glowing, he figured with a second beast down he'd have little opportunity to have another one claw itself out and protect him! The cat prowls quickly on all fours before jumping at Ward now, this time starting with the empowered hand. Trying to deliver a massive chest knock with his knuckles.

Dark tries smashing through the other homunculus and hit Ward with a Honed Strike (1KP 20% | 1,400)!

Ward's eyes turned back to the mirror, making sure nothing was pulling through without him doing so, before quickly looking back, curious to see how the creature would fair. The way it moved was all of its own doing, and though it had what could only technically be called a sentient mind, it was capable of little more than base instincts. Ward wasn't directly controlling it, but what he was able to do was have a bit of extra fun with it in a way perhaps Dark wouldn't expect.

On its own the creature likely couldn't hold up to more than the weakest of Earthlings let alone Saiyans, but it wasn't alone, and he was curious how his opponent would respond in learning that the hard way. The creature kept moving forward, reaching an arm out as if it intended to grab Dark from the air, though it didn't look to have the speed to do anything of the sort, finding a kick pushing its head even further to the side it was bent. Unlike Ward this creature didn't have the best of balance, stumbling with stuttering small jumps to try and keep from falling over, but stopped but Dark putting his hand right through the center of it. If this was an organic creature there would be a real chance of death or at least a fatal wound, but it didn't seem to register pain with any sort of body language, and despite its lack of facial features it was clearly turning its head toward Dark's face.

A quick move and as far as the Saiyan knew the creature was in nearly two halves, moving to immediately charge Ward once again. Ward's hands were moving in the area fairly quickly, but he wasn't looking at Dark the closer he got, but past him, not seeming to react to him. Moments before the Saiyan was on top of him he felt to a knee and brought his arms up in front of him and a large shield the size of his body manifested between them, taking the full brunt of the attack and stopping it entirely. Ward kept his position as the attack thumped off the heavy shield, only looking around it as he heard the shuffling noises. The creature Dark had attacked was now moving towards him again, now permanently angled to one side as it looked as if something had been hastily shoved into the spot he was cut and clear roped sutures stitching bot halves together.

The young saiyan felt the force back from the conjured shield. Blocking any latent energy held in his hand. No matter how he pushed into it, the fingers he extended out to stab at the shinjin started giving. That yellow ki around it fading as he is basically forced to step back and reassess. Clenching that hand back into a fist as he eyed the man. Being able to keep up both the weird magic and defend himself was a bit problematic if the saiyan was going to get anywhere with him.

That big shuffling mass couldn't sneak up on Dark, even if he couldn't sense its presence. Ears alone were enough to catch that thing still moving behind him. Stumbling towards him with all the grace of a clay figurine. If precision strikes weren't gonna cut it, fine. The cat spins on his heels and stretches his palms out at the creature. Blue ki starting to gather at them just beforehe pulled back his elbow. Letting balls form to then launch. Repeating the motion back and forth with each arm to send a volley of ki blasts at the creature.

He would quickly snap his attack towards that smooth surface the creature came out of too. Aiming to pepper it within the same basic volley. With little regard for kicking up the red dust of the wastes around them. Each little blast pushing up dust that slowly started settling and obscuring both their vision. it would only be after the carnage that they'd see what really happened.

Dark tries dealing with the weird constructs and mirror.

    The fight had started into throwing fists and blasts, which was something Ward was confident in, but was not his fighting style all the same, but now it had turned into his advantage for the moment. Things had slowed down, he had time to set up, think about what he was doing, get a full picture of what his opponent was doing. With the way he was set up there were less directions of approach and unless the Saiyan's style drastically changed, the strength of the situation was on his side for now.

    The creature behind Dark was in no hurry, and mostly because given the current situation it couldn't exactly be in anything resembling a hurry, but it caught the Saiyan's attention all the same. The shield Ward had created dissipated into nothing, but for now he was staying cautious and curious, surprised how quickly his opponent wanted to take out the second creation. Perhaps he wasn't sure just what it didn't and didn't want to take any chances, but it made for an amusing show all the same. This second creation met a fate similar to the first, bursting into pieces that eventually disappeared with little resistance.

    Ward's focus was solely on his opponent now, not having to hold onto anything, control anything, or specifically channel energies for the object behind him, which meant reacting was much easier from where he was. The way Dark swung around still momentarily surprised him, not because he was attacking, but because it was obvious the trajectory of his blast attacks were aimed behind him and not at him. Despite the time he had taken to properly manifest the mirror and to summon the creatures, it was only a matter of a simple movement to create or dispel either. His actions setting it up did make it more precise to what he wanted to accomplish in the midst of fighting, but there was obviously no way for Dark to know how his powers worked except for what Ward had shown him thus far.

Lowering all four hands to the ground he now purposely made a show of doing something, even if he was actually doing nothing actively, forcing just enough energy into his palms to make them noticeably glow. Now that the mirror had been created, recreating it would be a simple matter, but moving it out of sight was an equally simple matter. The moment the blasts would have connected, the entire structure was gone, and just behind it a simple dirt wall was replacing it, allowing for a visual explosion of something and to further kick up dust to make it really seem like Ward's creation was done for.

The moment the dust masked the entire area Ward's energy signature seemed to momentarily drop as he was attempting to hide his ki, but slowly it began to raise again up to that of Dark's once more. Ward's arm reached out in the cloud as a wall made to look like the ground it was touching sprouted up just a bit taller than Ward, and behind it was...Ward? In the dust and behind the wall were two matching ki signatures, both seemingly Ward and no variation between them.

Magic Materialization

Utility Technique || Ki Duplication
Copies the ki signature of the user and projects said copy up to twenty feet away. Matches the ki signature perfectly without any fluctuations causing the ki signature to match in increase or decreases. This would work specifically against those using forms of ki sensing, though not anyone using a scouter.

Dark wasn't sure how easily those strange creatures would go down to simple blasts, but it was short enough a blasting to quickly pull the same volley on the mirror. Kicking up that dust and obscuring any visual markers Ward could be giving off with a move or the saiyan's own potential damage caused. It'd work perfectly in tandem with what this guy seemed to pull next. Raising a wall under the cloud and conjuring up an identical double behind it with him would throw off anyone relying on ki sense to track him.

"Ehh..."
This man was all tricks and magi. Conjuring up random bits of scenery and objects to confuse and throw off the senses. Dark's seen his fair share of dirty fighting, but nothing came up close to the trickery as something like this. Very few beings could replicate something like this with ease. The question was is it enough to replicate the true footprint Ward left in the world? His scent, heat, the mere presence he had. As far as he could measure only one of those was copied.

Not that Dark would be relying on his heightened sense of smell here. Those ears twitch and ears flick in a mild annoyance as he readies another volley of ki blasts. Preparing the first two in the palms of his held-up hands as he looked towards the wall. If the wall were another construct just lifted from Ward's weird magic, it'd have the same sturdiness yeah? Why not just launch attacks at both of them through the barrier?

"Keep playing your games with that magic you have! See where it gets ya!"
Dark still had the energy to rapid-fire these. If he was just going to keep throwing up mirrors, arms, and duplicates, the saiyan was just going to keep burning everything down.

Dark's getting a little fed up with all the literal smoke and mirrors. Launches another barrage.

Even with the plethora of fighters Ward came across, few used their senses in a way that Dark was, at least not in any way that was obvious. Most relied heavily on their trained senses to locate people by their energy signatures, or wore those scouters to find their way around a fight in a similar fashion. This wasn't something groundbreaking, but it was different from what Ward felt comfortable fighting. It was usually easy to trick the senses, but the way Ward tended to go about it was playing into what most thought were strengths and trying to make it a weakness. He didn't know it yet, but this was in turn making what Ward felt was a strength a major weakness if he didn't realize it.

"This is nothing more than simple conjuration and materialization, novice level if you will. No, I save my truly fun magic for when I need it most. No need to show my hand right away."

It was true this was novice level, even if Ward could do it quicker and perhaps larger in scale than most, but that was what came with centuries of practice. This wasn't the first, let alone the hundredth time he had created such a situation where someone was trying to push their combat pace and Ward stood his ground and slowed the fight to a crawl with his magic. What this wasn't however was all he could do, and it was usually what others thought when fighting him, seeing him as some trickster magician. His approach tended to frustrate people throwing them off their game, gave more time to learn their strategies in kind and how they would deal with what he threw at them, and most importantly cause an opponent to feel in turn they understood how to fight him and making his counters more frustrating to deal with.

It seemed Dark wasn't overly frustrated however, or at least he wasn't showing it nearly as much as Jagaimo was when they fought, or how Rosemary and Nasu were acting before the brawl even took place. A curious creature that only had Ward wanting to learn more, which only cemented how little he really knew about this entire part of the universe. His attack however was predictable despite his disposition being surprising, blasting right at both of Ward's walls, sending them breaking and splintering into pieces with little resistance. There was little time afterwards however before Ward went on his own offensive, sending every shattered piece flying towards Dark from both directions as he began to stand once more, slowly walking towards Dark with outstretched arms.

Of course, everyone has to say it isn't even their strongest move. Their final form. Dark just have to groan a bit at that and just get on with his blasting. Letting his work do the talking. Rather than be a pessimist and act like not fighting his way was akin to blasphemy, the cat saiyan realized people were going to fight how they fight. There's only so much you can belittle them for, especially when they were actually able to keep you at bay.

Dark would have quit long ago if he were a whiner.

The dust cleared to show Ward Earthbending what debris he had created at him. A lot of it was, honestly, harmless rock that the Saiyan could swipe away with his hands. For some pieces though, the agile kit would hop and maneuver around them. CLosing his own distance with Ward in a dash before jumping one last time onto one of the thrown bits of debris. Using it to propel him straight into the air above Ward before sending himself straight back down.

Ward's seen the move one. A twist of Dark's body and he gained a rotational speed akin to a drill. Aimed to plow the Shinjin into the ground with outstretched arms and body spinning. You'd swear he had boosters on his feet, but now. All-natural, with a trace of yellow ki trailing behind him like an elaborate anime about spin tops.

The ebbs and flows of the fight continued to take it to new places unique to no fight but this, and right back to other similar places this fight itself had already witnessed. Both were attempting something between throw it at the wall and see what sticks and the very definition of insanity with repeated attempts of similar techniques. Ward had more than once thrown up his walls, thrown his rocks, and tried his tricks that weren't finding much purchase. Dark seemed to be going down a different path with his own fight, now using that attack from earlier, those he was doing it in a way that was at least unexpected, as very few fighters attacked from above with melee attacks.

Ward knew full well that he could dodge, and it was likely Dark did too, but what Ward also knew was dodging wasn't going to accomplish much more than starting the cycle of combat all over again and bringing them both right back here sooner rather than later. Both of his hands were still outstretched, raising towards Dark as he took a heavy step back as the ground right in front of his feet cracked. The mirror that he had created earlier shot up from the ground, but was came out of it wasn't one of the creatures from earlier, but what looked to be Dark himself. It was fast, just as fast as Dark himself even, and it seemed at first glance that it was using the exact same attack aimed at Dark to collide in mid-air.

What he thought was fairly on target quickly changed into a different sort of tumble. His spinning attack was met head-on. Not by some sort of force directly from Ward, be it physically or with some sort of blast, but one that felt very familiar. He'd ram hands-first into a mirror of himself. Conjured in the blur of action when Dark couldn't see every motion the Shinjin made. And as far as equal and opposite forces go, this is a perfect one-to-one. Both he and the copy roughly bounce off each other with a groan. Dark in the air, left to hover, while the mirror was sent back down below him.

"Fuc- Really? Alright!"
He'd jerk his palms back up, again making ki balls above them. This time, however, rather than let them out in a volley of basic blue, his fingers twitched and turned the balls into sparking yellow balls. Slightly reduced in size. The clone seems to do much the same, following the baser knowledge it is instilled with of who it mimicks. And yet, it got even stranger. As he winds up to toss it in the air, and indeed his clone takes the initiative and actually tosses it like a previous technique using the unique ball, he instead keeps his left hand outstretched and crushed it in his hand. Sending a dangerous and narrow beam of yellow from the blast. Both to crash against the weaker mirror's blast and to pierce it. The beam going through it and into the ground beneath it.

Before giving Ward much time, he already had his other hand pointed at him too. Sending the other half of the gathered energy out in a caustic yellow beam. Seems he was getting tired of dealing with whatever came out of those mirror surfaces. Even if it was, fundamentally, a weak technique against the saiyan.

Dark fires a Voltaic Streak (2KP 40% | 2,800) at the Reflective Mirror (2,100). Destoying his double and winning the clash, sending 1,400 damage in Bleedthrough @ Ward!

He was told to keep up with his magic and games and see where it got him, but so far where it was getting Ward was exactly where he wanted to be in the fight. The situations were not only amusing but educational, and even though this wasn't life or death by any means, it was just enough to allow him to push things. This Saiyan was clearly taking it seriously and at this level of strength Ward matched, neither were holding back from what it seemed. Each blow was met with another, each technique was pushed back, and the stakes raised just an inch higher each time.

Ward's eyes followed the action, but once again his hands lowered, causing the larger mirror to disappear as both the mirror image of Dark and Dark himself dropped back to the ground. The Saiyan had taken the technique in stride more than most tended to, choosing to fight directly against it and try and deal with it instead of the usual angry quips about Ward essentially using someone's techniques against them. The fight was as refreshing as it was frustrating, but both allowed him to push just a bit more while trying to hold his power at this level.

Dark's attack took out the clone with relative ease, which wasn't unexpected, as it was created more as a defense technique and already having fulfilled its purpose was an easy target. There was little give as it was met with an attack, not so much breaking as popping much like a sentient bubble might and was gone as if it never existed. By now Ward was preparing himself to become the focus of Dark once more, slinging his arms down as all of the rocks, debris, walls, everything that he had created up to that point that was scattered around seemed to fly at Ward encasing him in a dense ball. As the attack struck it, there was nothing more than an explosion of rock in every direction, but Ward was nowhere to be found within, though he could be sensed behind Dark, rushing in to deliver a punch to Dark's back.

It dawned on him now just how frustrating a silent opponent was. As the fight dragged along at a slow pace, the two had worked up some good hits. But it was barely anything still but a scrap. Physical brawn up against what seemed like some sort of trickster in a duel where one side didn't even actively talk some mad shit. Not even the strange heroic spats he'd see before. Even as his beams collide with both his clone and the empty space Ward left, he can only groan.

"Man, you're really jumpy."
After firing off that dual attack, the saiyan flexed his fingers some. Relaxing the muscles and then rubbing some at his palms. It wasn't so much exhausting to use so much energy rapidly as it was a practice in fighting fatigue. if he was going to be playing an endurance game, he'd rather not get muscle cramps from tense moments. That's also by the time he noticed the Shinjin was just atop of him. Not exactly working 100% in his sensing department immediately as he should. Just one twitch of his ear and he'd realize too late. He'd get socked hard in the back of the head.

"YEOUCH"
Wincing, the Saiyan keels forwards in the air. Eventually landing while rubbing the back of his head. he was quick to turn afterwards and keep his other hand ready to intercept anything with his ki again. Conjuring up a blue blast to chuck up and over at his Shinjin opponent to pay him back for that.

Dark get smacked, attacks back!
