Khayden was found alongside the road by a group of traveling hippies who practiced nomadic living standards. The discovery of a lost child was not something that was particularly rare for the group and upon being found by a young couple; Khayden was officially adopted within their fold. Khayden's mother, Dahlia was a strong and cheerful woman who wore an easygoing smile and trademark peaceful demeanor that helped bring balance to their newfound family. Meanwhile, despite some people's more negative view on what a hippie is supposed to be; Khayden's father was a man's man in the truest sense of the world.
Khayden's father always lead with a can do attitude with a easygoing nature that was only surpassed by his wife. Growing up Khayden learned loads of useful things about surviving on the road and in the wild. Another set of skills Khayden would learn would utilizing basic farming and automotive tools as these skills were considered integral to his growth an independent person. And as one may have been able to guess or infer by now; independence was always Khayden's parents goal when it came to raising their son. As such while Khayden was showered with love; he was also and equally given the opportunity to become and shape the person that he was meant to become.
Following in his parent's footsteps; Khayden wanted to become a trader but his hyperactive nature coupled with a natural talent for combat had Khayden quickly scouted by the caravan guards. These people were the brave and important men and women responsible for keeping the group together and safe from outsiders who may wish to disturb their nomadic way of life. While obviously there weren't any ki masters within their fold; the foundations of ki and warrior training was widespread enough for people to practice the basics of common self defense.
Khayden was noted to be rather gifted as it did not take him long to learn or mimic fighting styles taught to him. Still, despite his talent and growing love for combat; his mother refused to raise a dumb son and would enforce his 'education' with an iron fist. One simply doesn't get to refuse Khayden's mother and live to tell the tale. As such Khayden is a decent salesman's with a rather impressive gift for gab whenever he can be bothered to utilize such talents. However, as Khayden reached his later teenage years; it became time for Khayden to learn true indepence as he'd be temporarily exiled from the tribe to travel the world and gain experiences that could benefit the tribe upon his return. This was a rite of passage that every teenager must accomplish to be considered a true adult within their traveling tribe.
