Superpowered (Jackie)

The blast was a burning hole into anyone's eyes that looked too long at it. Jackie included as she had to pull away last-minute to let the woman go after the smash. Feeling that wave of plasma transfer between them in a blast. Scaring up some of that bluegrass underneath them as it left Jackie, much deeper than the footprints of fire she left in her burning form. The sun monk stood up straight as she watched the Konatsian recover from her burning blow. Massassing her neck as her opponent got back up from taking the raw power of the sun.

"Never know what an opponent's gonna do. Better to take every leverage ya can!"
That bright plasma that coated her arm had died back down to the burning orange and red flames that usually empower her blows. The human not letting up just because she put a lot of energy into that last attack. On the contrary, the woman lunged further onwards and put Crotona on the spot again. This time taking a definite call to go on the offensive against the reignited blade. Aiming several dedicated strikes and swipes. Trying to enter that too-close-for-comfort area a lot of swordsmen had to deal with.

Just as before.

"Who taught you that last one, huh? never seen such a big enlargened ki blade like that!"

Well. That answered THAT question. Jackie's own force is blown back against that spectral shell around the Konatsian. And soon enough she'd be looking down the end of another attack with that blade coated in ki. Spiking in strength as it did before. Confidence enough to nearly knock the Earthling off her feet at the mere invocation as it caught up to her own power momentarily.

Caught out and as winded as she was from her own assault, Jackie fell victim to glowing blade. Feeling her body lurch forwards before being tossed into the skies by the sheer concussive force put behind the swing. Whatever empowered her at that moment wasn't just some ordinary surge in strength. It just didn't make much sense for it to be, the girl so easily able to meet back up in quarter with her strength. Perhaps Earthlings weren't the only ones that could hide something like this.

"WHOA!"
Jackie was flung up into the air. Taking a moment to spread out her limbs and stop her ascent up. A nasty mark is left across her stomach. The blow nearly knocked the wind out of her, if the heavy breathing was anything to go off of.

"Well, it was a nice move for bein' self taught!"
She couldn't get back into it right just yet. No, she could feel her burning through ki like a leaking firehose. At this rate, she'd need to start either burning quicker and finishing this or pace herself out for a very long while...

Flattery would get you everywhere in a spar. Well, in Jackie's good graces at least. It wouldn't exactly save the Konatsian from abusing the one thing she saw in her opponent. Something she also kinda just gave the Earthlings. 'One-time'? Oh yeah. There was no reason to not try and muster what energy she could and smackdown her partner here while given the opportunity.

"Thanks, hun. It's what I aim to be, to protect those who can't do it themselves! Which means I have to take every positive I can!"
Hovering in the air, she had chosen to burn even brighter. To run through her energy to quickly take down a swordswoman that was tapped out! Crotona could see it before feeling it. Her right arm erupts in flames before pulling in light and sparks again. That plasma would swirl again, burning brightly and blending into the skies as one of the suns might would with its luster. Look too long and you might just burn your retina. Luckily, most enemies could just sense the mass of energy. It's an unprecedented amount of power funneled into her normal blazing strike all at once.

And once she gave it some time to cook she'd turn her body down to start flying head-first into the swordswoman. Aiming a massive out-stretched plasma fist at the woman's cheek to put her into the dirt with this single attack! She'd be impressed if she had the energy to somehow respond in kind to the Earthling's ferocity.

Jackie's condensed attack was, of course, had to deal with. So little energy packed into the raw intensity of the stars. It would slam against that retaliating sword and swirl with the various corona of the sun as it splashed around both of them. Overtaking the swordswoman in one final bout before launching the girl into the ground once more. Tossing up more and more dirt as the two got carried away with their strength. jackie stood looming over for a moment, paralyzed with that lingering burning and heaving breath as she looked down at Crotona. She at least didn't look dead, or unconscious at least.

"Oh wow... Okay... Hah, thanks..."
With the words escaping her mouth she lets out a hefty sigh and slinks down to her knees. Her body drops any semblance of strength very rapidly as her exhausted form quickly dissipates that emboldening flame around her. Jackie was tapped too, even if she didn't look physically worn. Besides, that stomach gash left by that cheeky blow to her stomach was catching up to her. All of this, while Berim sat out far away from the conflict. Watching with an enthralled look plastered across his otherwise stoic posture. He was almost over the cliffside with how far he separated from the two in their spar.

"You're pretty tough too. You picked up some crazy power..."
There were a lot of assumptions she could make as she sat there, keeping herself from just laying sprawled out on the grass. Those demons she talks about using was one thing. Did she beat them in some sort of trial to obtain their strengths? They also didn't feel inherently evil, so it didn't feel like a malevolent pact or whatever you'd see in the books.

Much unlike Jackie, who only threw herself at a wall for months before suddenly peaking.

"Should I... get help?"
The Namekian called out at a distance, keeping it as he tilted his head at both warriors. Exhausted and beaten between the two. The sun monk just shakes her head and pulls a knee up to her chest. head lifted to the skies in her efforts to breathe. Jackie feels she made the better of choices by burning so quickly against an opponent like this.

Berim will just nod as both warriors seemed content with shrugging off whatever it was they gained here. Be it new little scars or burns. The namekian was content with that so the two others could gawk at each other's strengths. Jackie could only let out some heart chuckles at the swordswoman's insistence and subsequent parting words. It was funny, watching a sparring partner so eager to jump the gun to fight to also, just as quickly, hop up and leave them. Friendly thumbs up or not.

The sun monk shoots a quick wave and nod back up at her as she remained at her knees. Still quelling what heaving breathing she had left.

"Yeah... Maybe. Galaxy's a big place. Keep that sword arm strong and maybe next time I won't be on this side of the spar."
Jackie offered lightly, talking past her lasting fight exhaustion. Berim went on ahead and got water for her and the parting Crotona if she'd even take it. Still trying to suggest they look at it in the nearby village or something. The insistence didn't seem to fall on anyone listening though. The sun monk just took her water and quenched herself. Simmering down to watch Crotona leave. She wasn't there to baby anyone. Except herself, as she looks down at the sword cut that drew a little blood still across her abdomen.

"I meet people in some of the strangest ways."
