- Hiro's core traits are Mystic Arts and Kai-Kai. The latter is very common for his species!

STARTING PLANET: Planet Earth.
HOME REGION: Eastern Pastures.
APPEARANCE: Art is from the game Fire Emblem and is official! One would be surprised how often he ditches his 'clothes' (which can change on a whim thanks to shapeshifting) into something more casual. Profile picture art is from the fantastic artist Kevin from tumblr.

BACKGROUND:
Even in the constant chaos that is the universe inhabiting the dragon balls, Otherworld has never been the most...stable of places. But when you're little more than universal glue holding heaven, hell and the rest of reality together, what do you expect? Mistakes is what—and a whole lot of them, too. From the dead fleeing heaven to HFIL machines going haywire, there's a myriad of madness in the world above...but none of that happens in the home of the World Tree.
Due to it's massive size and greater power, it pretty much never moves! And even if, perchance, two incredibly irresponsible shinjin managed to briefly shake it, it'd take an incredibly small fruit for that tiny shake to make the fruit fall! And even if the fruit fell, it'd still be in Otherworld with it's protectors! What are the chances that it'd fall through an interdimensional breach, escape through heaven and hell, and end up stranded in the mortal realm? That would never happen, right?
R-right?!
Panta and Shorto Boxers were not sure what to make of the fact that a gigantic, magical fruit had crash-landed in their little home in Korin Forest. It was certainly disappointing; all the trouble they'd gone through to make their house was so that they could get away from crazies, not have one be drawn to you. Then again, they'd always wanted a son...and they were highly religious. Clearer messages from god didn't exist...
...and how the hell would they explain this to the authorities anyways?
And with that, this weird, spiky-eared, pink-ish humanoid was now their...Shorto really wasn't up to calling it his son. For now, they'd just call him Hiro. To their delight, however, their child's basic biological needs seemed fairly standard! His fruit had dropped at such a small size that he was pretty much maturing at a human pace. He hated eating fruits and vegetables as any reasonable child would. He wasn't allergic to meat or sleep or god forbid oxygen. He was surprisingly human-like. For the first few years, with an immense amount of secrecy and sacrifice, Hiro was turning out fine...
...and then the shinjin genes kicked in.
At the mere age of six their son had decided that his name was Shino. He hadn't gotten it from the web or a stranger; that was just the name he knew he had. While his parents wanted to avidly reject this thoughts, they knew that it wasn't fair. He was an alien, but he was also their Hiro. They had to respect it for now, and he seemed to not be so bothered about it only after a few months...
..and then came the questions. Otherworldly, extraterrestrial, completely unanswerable questions. They didn't know why he felt so bad when he squashed roaches. Or why he knew where every rat in the house was. Or why every-so-often, he would literally start floating in the middle of the night. Or the day. Or while eating food. The only one that they could respond to-the one querying about how he never went outside-was unsatisfactory. He knew that he was a bit different, but so what? He was still pretty cool. He should be allowed outside. His parents were just dumb dorks!
As the years came, went and flew by, Hiro seemed to develop an infinite array of interests. Unlocking his innate ability to shapeshift was a great aide to him, as now he could actually play along in public with extraordinarily strict supervision! He was good at everything—biking, mountain climbing, soccer, basketball—but nothing ever stuck with the boy. Nothing was worth even a weekly distraction—nothing except being a HERO!
Hiro was dead serious about this ambition, too. Even as he grew older and (somewhatyyyy) smarter, his thoughts never strayed too far from the exploits of heroes. From fictional ones like Ultraman and Arachnokid to the masterful master artists of long ago, Hiro couldn't put into words just how cool he found 'em to be. Just from the way that they beat up bad guys, got lots of praise and could do whatever they want while travelling the world...! He soon developed a heavy infatuation for being a hero and began to think about that and that alone.
...it's funny, then, what happened next.
Any guy can use ki. The monster that wandered through Korin Forest happened to a bad type of guy. Perhaps it was a foreign alien looking for it's next meal? Perhaps it was a violent biodroid looking to absorb the helpless? Perhaps it simply hated humans? Whatever it was, it brought with it an immense killing intent.
Hiro knew what was coming hours before the creature had arrived, but his attempts to shuttle Panta and Shorto away were meaningless-this power moved far, far faster than Hiro did. There was no getting away from that energy, that despicable, evil aura...the only thing to do was to fight it, to be a hero!
But Hiro wasn't about to do any of that. For one thing, he could die if he tried to fight that thing, it felt almost three times as strong as he did! For two, even if he did try to fight it, it'd reveal his signature. Anyone who was trying to look for him (as he was sure those damned kais were doing) would easily find him. Plus, what good was being a hero if he was going to die?
And so, he did nothing as the terrifying monster touched down in the middle of Korin Forest. Did nothing as it batted Hiro away like a baseball. Did nothing as it grabbed Shorto Boxer...grabbed his one and only dad...
"NO! It doesn't matter what happens to me, doesn't matter what I think, he's in trouble and I've got to save him! What kind of hero isn't ready when his friend needs their help?! GET AWAY FROM HIM YOU MONSTER-"
But right in the middle of his coming of age, Shorto's body hit the ground.
To this day, Hiro doesn't remember the specifics of what happened next. All that he can recall is the indescribable, unimaginable rage that consumed his soul once he'd seen Shorto's body, howling like a madman as he quadrupled in strength. Sobbing over the corpse of his adoptive father while his latent shinjin energy pulsed throughout his whole body. Seeing some pale, pink, spiky-eared figures descend from the heavens days after the event...
The kais. Now that he'd so clearly revealed his power to them (who had apparently been on the lookout for a long time), there was no hiding his true lineage. It brought Hiro a surprising amount of joy, in an ironic sense; he'd just lost his dad but now he had a bigger family. But as soon as the reunion had ended, they presented Hiro with an unacceptable offer: returning to Otherworld.
It seemed to make sense to everyone at the time. Panta loved him to pieces, but she knew that Hiro wasn't of this planet. He might never truly fit in or even be happy. And the Shinjin had been passively checking for him for two decades-they weren't about to let him go now. Even Hiro himself knew that it'd probably be a lot easier for him if he just went along with them...
...but that's not what heroes did.
His father was dead. Sure, Hiro himself didn't kill him, but he could have made a difference, choosing instead to watch from the sidelines. The least-the least he could do-was to try and bring him back to life somehow, and luckily, his kaioshin guardians told him about some ancient, mystical artifacts from thousands of years ago that, when assembled, could do anything! Sure, he had no idea where they were, or what they were, or if he'd get hurt trying, or get killed trying-but that didn't matter in the slightest! What kind of hero would place himself before the needs of others? No hero he knew!
Of course, Hiro wasn't a hero, and he wasn't even sure what made someone one. But he knew that he had to start somewhere, with something. What better way to be the hero he always wanted to be than by helping the man who had made him who he is? It was a risky and dangerous plan, but he'd made up his mind. Even if he had to make it through the entire galaxy, even if he had to brawl with the strongest people alive, he'd bring his dad back to life, god dammit!
After a lot of deliberation (read: Hiroshino yelling at the top of his lungs for hours), Panta and the kais gave their blessings for his journey, with their only stipulation being that he would be monitored by a talking, floating jellyfish (the earth had some strange inhabitants) for the rest of his days. With all of this in mind, with his goodbyes given, Hiroshin properly went out into the wider world for the first time in twenty-one years.
"Uh...jellyfish?"
"I already told ya that it's Cabra!"
"Okay, Cabra. Where the heck do I start?"
Light Defensive|| Mystic Coat!
One of Hiro's sillier techniques, he uses his magical powers to create a coat literally made out of ki and wrap it around him like a bunny. Not only does it make him look extremely cool, it's also rather strong! (Customization: Evasive)
Power: 60%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: Evasive.
Medium Offensive|| Heavenly Stroke!
By channeling as much of his energy (mystical and spiritual) into his jack-of-all-trades blade, the Soraken, Hiro can deliver a sword slash that's sure to leave a mark, no matter who he's up against! (Customization: 2 Power Upgrades, KP cost reduction)
Power: 50%
KP Cost: 3 KP
Variants: ---
Heavy Offensive || Sword Storm!
While Hiro's heart tells him that hitting harder would be the best way to go about things, his better senses convinced the shinjin to create this technique-half a dozen floating swords constructed from ki that can pierce through nearly any defense! (Customization: 1 KP reduction, Piercing)
Power: 50%
KP Cost: 5 KP
Variants: Piercing.
Heavy Sparking Offensive|| Grand Finale!!!
While Hiro's tries to be at least a little creative with his attacks-I mean, he's magical for supreme kai's sakes-he's not afraid to simply go all-out. Using every last bit of strength he can muster (so much so that he accidentally creates a shield around himself), Hiro shoots a ki beam of epic proportions at the unfortunate person on the receiving end.
Power: 130%
KP Cost: 6 KP
MP Cost: 5 MP
Variants: Counter.
Utility Technique || Ki Sensing
"It's pretty easy! I just focus a little and I can feel everything around me. Everyone should do this!"
Utility Technique || Shapeshifting
"You'd be surprised how useful this can be...no, get your mind out of the gutter, I meant for, like, changing clothes, stretching your arm around, turning into zoo animals!"
TRANSFORMATIONS:
- Godhood: Hiro taps into the latent Kaioshin energy that he subconsciously holds back so that he can quadruple his power. Not much, but it's pretty cool, right?
