Now it was sickeningly wholesome. Why was the lad not more excited by all this. He had flaming hands for kais’ sake! To Ollo’s credit, this was an accident. The stick was supposed to catch fire not the student. But that didn’t mean this was bad, and Ollo needed to be convinced of that. Sing’s smile remained as always.
“You seem hesitant, not that I blame you really. Think about it this way; instated of enchanting the branch, you enchanted yourself! Since you aren’t getting burned, that means you are controlling the fire. For now, let’s see you light the other four, and hopefully, you’ll get what I mean.” And diligently he did so. All six flaming sets of fingers burning brightly. It was truly dazzling to see someone so unsure do so much in so little time. It nearly brought a tear to the demon’s eye. If they cried at all anymore.
“Very nice! No burning right? If it were I imagine you would be screaming in pain and you certainly are not.” Seng looked around to see if there were any other suitable objects to test this power on. The grass received enough punishment already. He could try a boulder or a tree. Ollo did say he was strong after all. And just as they predicted, Ollo wouldn’t hurt a fly. Vexing. “Okay if you REALLY don’t want to hit me I won’t make you. BUT you really should do something with those pretty little fires. Letting them fizzle out would be such a waste!” Once more Sing investigated their student’s hands thoroughly. What to do with these things? “I assure you this is safe. It’s just your power manifesting itself really. Trust me, you can’t hurt yourself with your own power unless you WANT to. Magic and Energy in general is alive. Yours doesn’t want to hurt you. Even if you supposedly don’t have any you made this yours. Just remember that you are in control, or else it may control you. I say we see what it can do! If not on me… then how about a boulder or a tree? Or… Let me try something.”
An odd idea had struck Sang. Putting their thumb to their lips, they started to ‘blow’ into their digit, causing their entire hand to inflate. Soon enough it would be as big as Ollo himself, wobbling in the light breeze like any ordinary balloon. With a satisfied huff, the now enlarged glove popped off from their wrist and gently floated down to the ground.
“There! Wait-” they quickly reached inside their now empty sleeve and pulled out a fresh new hand. “There we go! Now no one gets hurt! Well besides a balloon but hey! No skin off my back- err hand!” To prove their point, Sing gave the makeshift punching bag a good hardy kick. It wobbled around a bit but otherwise was perfectly fine. “That’s kinda fun actually.”
