Playing with Fire [Invite]

The voice sounded within his head again. A simple tap on his shoulder drew his attention backwards. When Ollo turned his head there was the ghost, although he was looking a lot different than they had when he first met them. Still, he could recognize it was them from the voice inside his head. He was a bit startled by their sudden appearance and sinister looks. "Ah!" He yelped, jumping backwards not expecting whatever that was at all. "Sing!" He said, arms stretched outward in delight. "It's good to see you but don't do that again. Why do you look so-" Ollo paused, deciding that it probably was not polite to speak of their current appearance. "Nevermind. It's good to see you again." 

He didn't particularly know how long they had been here and he was honestly a little afraid to ask. Ollo did have a feeling that Sing did see his failed attempt at producing ki though, although he didn't particularly feel like talking about it at this current point of time. Instead, he decided to focus on what they had to say. They gave some warnings although at this point he was willing to nearly give up everything just to see if he could learn magic. Oh, couldn't he just do something for once in his life? "I don't mind. The teachers I have back home can be really hard as well, but I managed to get through it. I'll follow along the best I can, Master Sing!" Ollo slammed a fist into his chest, straightening his body and getting into an attentive stance, hanging onto every single word Sing now had to say. He couldn't let himself feel discouraged quite yet, especially seeing as they had just started.

Then the oni then gave him an opportunity to choose what they would teach him first. "Magic," Ollo said without any hesitation. If they were just starting, he would much rather practice something that would have a higher chance of producing results. He didn't need to get upset this early in the lesson, and as such he wanted to see whether or not he was actually capable of magic now, finally bringing that to light.

There were a lot of words and Ollo never really did good with theories and all that jazz, although seeing how serious he was about learning magic this time he tried his best to keep up. Still, he did get the general gist of it. He would mimic the ghost, placing a hand on the ground as he attempted to try and feel the same energy that they were referring to, although currently he felt nothing. That was something he would have to keep in the back of his mind for now at the very least. Sing would then show another display of magic, producing some sort of hammer although they quickly shoved it back into their hat. Unfortunately that was something Ollo could not follow, seeing as he had no headgear of his own, although he still tried to follow the basic movements.

Raising one of their hands after they went through their entire explanation, Ollo was starting to understand what they were speaking, at least a little bit. "So, it's different for everyone? You might be good at that but I might be good at something else?" He questioned after Sing elaborated more upon how magic would work. Well, hopefully Ollo would be good at whatever they tried out which appeared to be something called materialization. It seemed simple enough from their explanation and hopefully he would have an advantage with all six of his arms to guide him. Sing made it look pretty easy,  but by now they were probably a master at what they were doing.

Inhaling, Ollo would clasp his hand together, trying to figure out how to produce this energy. It wasn't like ki, right? If that was the case it should be easier. He tried his best, trying to feel for some energy, attempting to will it into existence. His brow furrowed, as he made a "nghhh" sound attempting to produce something out of nothing. Still, he felt nothing appear between his hands. Worry began to see into his mind. Was he also fated to be unable to learn magic as well? By this point Ollo was ready to just throw up his hands and storm off when a thought came into his mind.

The planet itself has energy too.

What if he tried to combine both of their energy? Closing his eyes, Ollo tried his best to concentrate on the planet's natural energy, despite being unable to feel it before. In a sense, it was similar to meditation, taking a brief moment to focus on seeing if he could feel it. After a few minutes of nothing, he felt... something. It was almost like a heart beat underneath his feet. While he tried his best to channel it, it was a slow and arduous process. Still, though he felt something warm beginning to form between his hands although it quickly was fading. For any onlookers, it would appear as if Ollo had been meditating for a few minutes, responding to nothing after his initial attempts. As his progress was excruciatingly slow, it appeared as if he was unable to produce anything, although for the first time his body touched something.

Although concentrated, Ollo still could hear the voices of those around him. So when Sing gave their suggestion, he was a little confused despite not having that expression on his face. Talk with the energy? It really did sound silly, especially when it didn't really have a mind of its own to reach out to. Ok I'll give it a go. He said to the demon, as he took a deep breath. As silly as it was, it wasn't as if he had any other chance seeing how much he was struggling right now. Um, hi energy. Could you help me form something. Pretty please with some pancakes on top? To his surprise, the warmth between his hands began to grow again, and through the cracks of his fingers a little light would even peek out, not that he was aware of it.

Simultaneously, there was another energy spot coming from within the middle of his torso. He didn't expect that, but was this perhaps a little bit of magic he had left within him? Did talking to his energy actually work? Seeing as something was actually happening, Ollo focused on the warmth, attempting to move it down his arms and into his hands, perhaps channeling it into something although such a task appeared a little too advanced for a rookie like him now. Not only that, the energy didn't seem to want to listen to him, instead building up in what felt like his stomach, growing hotter and hotter by the minute. It was beginning to get painful even as the energy even began to feel as if it was scorching his insides and then-

A vision of two people flashed before his eyes. Both of them were women, although they both looked distinctly different and alien. There was one whose face were surrounded with green scales, akin to his own and horns that appeared more like antlers, giggling childishly. The second one lacked any interesting traits, looking similar to the saiyan that he met once although she had no tail. In her hand was a warm flame as the two combined together, their eyes never meeting his as the heat within his torso could no longer be contained. 

Eyes flying open, Ollo suddenly felt as if he was about to hurl. Instead of bile coming out, a stream of pink flames came sprawling out of his mouth. While the heat was intense, it didn't hurt him, although it did leave a nasty scorch mark on the grass in front of him. Immediately he fell to his knees, breathing heavily before looking up at the demon with confusion. "Did, did I do it? I used magic? Did the energy say yes?" He said in between breaths. What just even happened?

Although his mind was still swarming from the vision, Ollo did feel a sense of accomplishment mixed into his troubled mind. He did it. He really did it. After spending so long being unable to access magic and doubting his abilities, he could do something for once in his life. Looking at the scorch mark on the ground, he couldn't help but just marvel at the fact that somehow he had managed to produce fire, a rather powerful stream of it like that. "I did it! I really did it!" Ollo hopped up and down a bit, pumping his fists into his air for a job well done. Now he really wanted to try to do it again, although he wasn't sure how. There was one question that remained burned within his mind though.

"Before, I did this." He said, pointing to the mark on the ground. "I saw two people. It's better if I show you." Bringing two fingers to their temple, a mental image of the two woman that he had seen would appear in Sing's head. One thing that Ollo did not notice was the fact that he shared quite a resemblance to the two women, with the scales looking quite similar to the ones on his arms and tail and his face appearing as if it was a younger and masculine version of the human in his vision. In her hand was a flame, the same color as the one that he just spit out. "I saw them and then after that I just spit out magic like that." Were they the secret to his sudden magical surge? If so, how would he be able to speak to them again so that he could produce a flame as crazy as that. 

Although Ollo had thought the answer laid within those two people, he quickly realized something else. That warm spot, although he had become aware of it whilst he was mediating did not disappear. Instead, it remained ingrained within his body. The more he thought of it, the hotter it became. Would he be able to do that same feat of magic again? "It's like the magic is inside me, although I dunno how to use it. Last time it just kinda exploded" As if to emphasize his point, he would make an exploding motion with his hands, followed by a "Boom" sound effect. He commented, hoping that Sing would clear things up a bit more. For now he placed his hand upon his chest, as if he wanted to keep it with him forever.

It seemed that Sing was also just as perplexed as he was by the vision that he received, to the point where three different people would come out of their body to speak with each other. "Uh," Ollo began, wanting to say something. Instead, he stayed silent, letting them do their talk although he did try to listen in at what they were all saying. It was quite strange and as much as he wanted to interrupt them, they all seemed rather engrossed with their conversation. Quickly they managed to figure out the species of the human, although it appeared as they were equally as stumped upon the scaled woman as he was. It wasn't particularly long before their discussion ended and all that was left was Sing who spoke to him again.

"Who were they?" Ollo said, looking at them with a curious look in his eye. Sure, he heard them call them all their followers, but to see three people randomly appear and disappear was intriguing. "Can I speak to them as well? They all looked really cool." Ollo didn't particularly expect any results, but hey it didn't hurt to ask. Besides, he loved meeting new people, especially if they could help him out with this magical journey although they all may have been baffled with the vision he had just projected in all of their minds. Oh well.

Turning his attention back to the magic lesson, Ollo would once again try to replicate that burst of fire from before. The warmth in his chest did not disappear, and as if to nurture it, he would place both of his hands on the spot it was over. Closing his eyes, he focused upon it, and rather than letting it grow till it was scorching hot, he attempted to expel it early. It all came naturally to him, as if he could do this all his life. Once again his eyes burst open as another stream of pink flames came from his mouth, this time substantially less hot than the initial one he produced had been. Compared to before, not only was it less powerful, it also lasted a short period of time as well running out of juice within a few seconds. "Phew," he said patting his belly. "I think I'm getting the hang of it. Do you think I can do more Sing?" He asked, giving them a smile with all teeth. His tail was swishing happily behind him, as if he was a giddy puppy. He couldn't wait to learn more magic now that he knew he was capable of it.

There were a lot of names and species that were being thrown around, although Ollo tried his best to follow through with all of them. Fortunately  he was able to catch all of them, which would make things much less awkward in the past. "Oh, so they're like spirits that you summoned to help you." That was another type of magic that he was aware that existed, although he didn't particularly know how to feel about forcing someone to serve against their will. Still, seeing as he did not know the true extent of their relationship, seeing how complicated it was, Ollo decided to stay silent on it right now. Turning his attention back to his magic, Sing would now move him onto something different.

Seeing how his object materialization was not working currently, they would instead work on something else: enchanting. Ollo looked at the demon with a confused expression before they explained it to him. Well, he sorta got it although how he was supposed to transfer his own energy into a branch remained a mystery. After all, he had only just gotten down how to expel fire from his mouth and this seemed a little bit, ok, much harder than that before. "I'll try my best Sing." He said, taking the branches from them as he began to concentrate.

Taking a breath, Ollo one again closed his eyes, focusing the magical energy within him and trying to move it into the branch. It very heavily resisted, preferring to try and go out through his mouth again although he fought back. Although slightly painful seeing as the burning sensation was on the back of his throat, the warmth did eventually relent as it travelled down his arms and towards the branch. However, that was where things got tricky. It definitely wanted to come out of his hands, feeling as they were burning again. In fact the branch that he held in his scaled hands burst into pink flames, not that he was aware of it. For all he felt, it felt more like a comforting warmth rather than anything uncomfortable. It wasn't long before the branch crumbled into ash, leaving his fists engulfed in the same pink flames.

The branch in his namekian hands was where he concentrated harder, trying to force it into the branch without allowing any to leak out. Of course seeing as he was still very much a newbie at magic, one side of the stick immediately lit up in pink flames although unlike the other stick it did not consume the entirety of it. Instead, he tried to force it in, until he couldn't fit any more in. When that was done he would open his eyes and to his surprise he noticed both the stick and the fact that his lower hands were on fire. "Um," he began looking at Sing. "A little help?" He was now afraid, unsure of why he was not burnt yet.
