There was a place out in the East that plenty of her elders would pilgrimage to convene. Korin Forest, and among it small tribes of people the Sun Monks often looked to. To exchange knowledge, obtain wisdom, the whole philosophical nine yards. Probably not a hundred percent accurate, but it was part of a half of how the woman knew about the place for a while. The other half was a very helpful shinjin she met a while ago. Tiamat had mentioned her seeing the place and a spiritual location coming from the earth. A large tower that extends into the heavens. It was not her priority to visit such a place when it was brought up initially, so she held off visiting. Maybe now was a good time to make the climb.
Jackie was going to do this the proper way. Wearing her people's proper gi on her trek. Traversing the maze-like paths in the forest to lead upon the central tribe was easy enough. her senses and awareness of all life out here made obvious deadbeat ways and off branch tribes easy. Packing a whole shopping list of stuff on her back in a heavy pack, strapped together with rope, she broke the treeline leading up to it with a sigh of relief. It was hard to miss such a large structure now, being in its shadow as she came upon it. That journey wasn't going to be the hard part of this all. Small conversations with some of the active tribe members pretty much confirmed this as the tower.
"Well. I guess I should prepare myself."
Squaring up the tower, the young woman tested her grip on it. Once, twice, just to get a nice feel. She then had to limber up and pay respects to the stars, their sun in particular. It would be the faith she needed to tackle this properly. As one should. No assistance, no flight, and to top it off she was going to attempt doing this with a big pack on her back. Why would she bother carrying something up with her? It's not like she needed to bother with food during a climb, or equipment, since that defeats the entire point.
No, she was bringing up a portable grill and another raw foodstuff in order to cook up a feast for herself and anyone else who wants a bite that has taken the climb before or after. Bonus points are that she gets to style on people for making it hard on herself. Whole ass fridge full of meat, veggies, and fruit on her back. She was perhaps thinking at her current level it would be too easy to just lift her body up, since she knows of others far less disciplined making her way up.
"Ooooh crap, no no! Stay together!"
Someways in and she's had less issue enduring her own weight and more keeping her bundle on her back. Though that's part of her plan here. Her body strength was great enough to constantly reach back and make sure her straps were on tight. Sometimes having to nudge a few pieces of her folded-up grill back into place while shifting in her movements. Sweat had built up to an uncomfortable degree, to the point where constantly wiping her forehead wasn't that helpful. Or helped her grip. Not that her forehead was even the only place feeling that.
"Just how tall is this!?"
She yelled out to the void of the skies. Clouds both above and below her obscuring most of what was above and below. Was she overestimating her abilities here? The thought of dumping the pack never once came across her mind before, but now it was really tempting to just get this over with. That resolve would pay off though. Her voice and presence carried through, and what she didn't realize was that she was already within earshot of the top. She just had to push herself a few more minutes of climbing to toss herself up there. Which is actually what she ended up doing.
When the young sun monk finally saw what looked like a set of holes leading into an extended structure, she made one last desperate leap up into it. Fatigued and exhausted from the climb, it took what was left in her to force that body through one and flop on the inside of the tower. Grunting with a spark of her burning aura around her splashing with energy before fizzling. Laid out like someone just ran track 100 times over. Panting like a dog in the summer heat. The only thing she could muster from the position is unstrapping that weight on her back. She was going to be dead for a bit here.
Only the outfit is accurate here, not the fires.
