The Saiyan pushed through the dense vegetation, his thick arms brushing aside outlying branches from his path. Ordinarily he'd avoid this area of the Planet. There was a reason it was locally referred to as the Wastelands, and why Saiba Beasts predominantly inhabited the area. Yet the powers that be 'ordered' him to these ragged lands in search of a being who'd captured the ire of his liberator, an unmet Tuffle Scientist who executed his will through an unknown means of control. That was the concept which angered Omato the most, a proud Saiyan Warrior manipulated by an enemy puppeteer.

The thought was enough to stop him in his tracks and his body visibly shivered as his physical body and psyche battled each other for control. But his efforts were in vain as an overwhelming bio electric shock ran down his spine, effectively weakening his mentality and increasing the level of influence the Scientist had on his actions. After a brief moment of pause he found himself walking again, the now familiar voice emitting from the speaker in his prosthetic. The voice seemed artificial, not in the sense that it was coming from an electronic speaker but in the sense that the tone was created or amplified. Its crackling words pierced his ears, strengthening the hold against him "I believe we've already established that my hold on you is absolute-" Omato could feel his organic arm reach up, his thick hands coiling around his neck like a python restraining its prey "-you should understand by now that your efforts are futile." The finality of that comment created a swell of anger in his breast as he struggled to maintain control over his appendage with the futile hope of loosening the grip around his throat. His hand subsided from its grasp though it was an action which was not his own.

Upon his awakening he'd come to the realization that his recovery was not through the efforts of the Empire, but rather that of the opposition. As a low born he was treated as little more than a foot soldier and warriors in his position were not granted the medical benefits bestowed upon the elite. Instead his kind were often left on the battlefield with the mentality of "survival of the strongest". If one fell in conflict, they were deemed too weak to benefit the Empire. But as they say, one mans trash is another mans treasure. His broken and beaten body had been dragged to a lab within the Wastelands, drawing attention away from the two warring factions and revitalized to fighting condition. While in recovery it seemed like measures had been put in place, the details unknown, to allow remote control through bio manipulation. All this seemed pliable through the installed prosthetics though the details were beyond a brute like Omato. Yet despite his lack of knowledge on Tuffle ingenuity he was smart enough to know that at times his actions were not his own.

In the midst of forethought he heard a warning echoing from beyond the landscape, its voice reverberating and holding an air of malice. The caution was simple. Proceed, and die. Omatos response was simple, but it was only loud enough to be heard by himself "Dead men can't die...". Despite the warning he continued onwards, the voice emitting from the prosthetic speaker once again "It appears as if you've found the target. Proceed with field test Gamma Three Alpha".

After a few moments Omato found himself in a direct line of sight to his target, an armored clad Warrior of unknown origins leaning against a rather large sword "Run, before its too late..."

The creature responded to Omatos last conscious sentence, but had mistaken his warning as a threat and responding in due form. As it approached the Saiyan a large bladed weapon materialized in his hand. Omato struggled to regain control and in his futile efforts to address the Onis inquiry his body tensed up momentarily. From the speaker built within his prosthetic an artificial voice spoke out, one with a tone far different than the large armored Saiyan. "Excuse this apes rudeness. He tends to be a little outspoken -" Omato remained still, his features unchanging in his silence. To the trained eye one would see that his body was slightly shivering as small currents of bio electricity coursed through his nervous system "- and we are perfectly aware of whom you are, or to be more precise, what events have unfolded since your untimely arrival on our Planet. Surely you must have assumed that your actions would draw attention to yourself?" another moment of silence filled the air as the Oni slowly approached the Saiyan, Omatos lone eye staring intently at the Warrior before him.

The speaker crackled as reception struggled to penetrate the thick valley which they currently found themselves in "But no matter. You shall prove an excellent subject to trial our latest Project." The mysterious person speaking directed the next sentence towards Omato "Commence order three one three..."

The moment the order was given the Saiyans body ceased its shivering and his pupil suddenly shrunk to that of a small bead, his deep voice mumbling softly "...r....r.u..n." A purple aura burst from the center of his core, erupting outwards and enveloping Omato and causing the area around him to vibrate and shake with small debris slowly floating above the grounds surface. Before Azrael could respond in kind, Omato gathered his energy into a single point, the concentration of ki forming into a small purple ball within his organic palm before thrusting the attack, still held in his hand, towards the Onis stomach.

The Puppeteer pulling the strings was surprised at the targets speed and their accuracy in which they could swing their massive sword as they managed to 'deflect' the ki ball away, especially at such close proximity. Although its efforts were futile. Upon contact the ki ball exploded which redirected the weapon away, though this was only momentary as the Oni declared that it was now time to put some effort into the fray. Before things could be processed the large weapon was swung wildly, its honed blade cutting through the air like a hot knife through butter and towards the controlled Saiyan. In response, certain electrical triggers were enacted in order to make Omato react, causing him to lift his prosthetic arm. Its mechanical fingers opened and reached out in the path of the blade, attempted to catch and halt the blade from cleaving him in two. Although the theory was sound, the practical always showed its unpredictably ugly face as certain calculations omitted the natural force this being possessed. Despite the fact this being was pulling its punches (though unbeknownst to the Puppeteer) the blade was still able to physically push Omato from his grounded stance and essentially moved him through brute strength. The only merit to the Saiyans defense was that he managed to avoid the edge of the blade from carving through him.

Part way through being pushed he'd released his grasp and used the momentum to propel himself backwards, creating much needed distance between the two engagers, and as he moved away from the Oni he was commanded to initiate another aggressive attack. In response Omato positioned his palm so it was facing upwards and proceeded to condense more ki into his palm. A single ball of energy manifested in his hand, taking on a purple tinge followed by the creation of four smaller spheres which orbited the central orb. Once created Omato extended his hand towards the Oni and unleashed the technique which was persistent in its pursuit and would quickly redirect and follow the signature should his opponent decide to evade. If it made contact with its target, much like the ki ball fired earlier, would violently explode.

His variated ball of ki was effortlessly swallowed by the demons attack. There was no power struggle, no collision or alteration in the attack. It was simply overpowered and consumed. The only saving grace was that his Omatos initial attack had seemed to lessen his opponents technique to some degree, the Scientist controlling the Saiyan running various calculations in their head to ascertain the damage potential. With a few quick strokes of a keyboard a sequence was activated, sending electric currents from the prosthetic and up the nervous system which in turn triggered a series of events. The Onis attack came within a hair of slicing the Puppet Warrior, the cold steel almost felt on the tip of his nose, and as it came down it seemed to have cleaved right through him. But there was something different. The demon would have felt no resistance attributed with bone and flesh resisting metal. Instead the sensation would be akin to a hot knife through butter, effortless and easy as the two halves of Omatos form faded away until it was nothing.

By greatly enhancing his natural speed he'd managed to swiftly evade the attack while leaving an afterimage in his wake, allowing him to fade to the demons left side and aiming a swift closed fist with his prosthetic arm towards the Onis face. For the moment the Saiyan was silent, yet as the battle extended his 'personality' leaked out. To those that closely observed they could see a very faint smile creeping along Omatos lips.

The Saiyan started to warm into the motions of combat and as the fight extended his persona began to leak out of its cage of control. His minor punch to the the demons face was seemingly evaded, and effortlessly to boot, and Omatos display of arrogance triggered a matching response in kind. In that moment the air grew heavily, and the Saiyans chest felt an eerie bout of compression. It was a feeling he'd not felt in decades.

In that moment the Demon grasped his sword again and from the depths of his core he summoned a malicious aura which consumed his sword. As per his last technique he'd mutter the abilities name which was followed by a swift strike to the weakened Saiyans stomach, aiming to spill blood from his vital area and seal the fate of this encounter. As the blade sliced through the air time seemed to stop for Omato as his single dark eye followed the trail of steel. His Puppeteers were inexperienced in the heat of combat, a typical attribute aligned with the majority of the Tuffle Race, and in that moment his innate battle experiences kicked in causing a concoction of adrenaline and chemicals to flood his entire body. This seemed to temporarily sever the connection between Puppet and Puppeteer. Omato, Saiyan Warrior, was now in control again.

The blade came dangerously close to his body armour and Omato summoned upon his inner reserves to replenish his diminished energy pool, and then empower his body once again with haste and speed. Once again, as the blade came close to cleaving his stomach, he ducked and allowed the blade to slice above and over his crouching form. To the demon though, for a mere moment, he'd see steel cleave through flesh but his own experiences would notice the lack of resistance attributed with metal, flesh and bone colliding.

Not wanting to miss this opportunity Omato rose from his crouched form and aimed a quick and swift uppercut to the Demons chin, putting his momentum and body weight behind the attack. Whether it connected or not he'd take a step back, loosening up his muscles as his form revitalized from weeks of dominated control "I warned you before, now...this is personal" the Saiyan had taken grave offense to the possibility of having his guts spilled on the ground, and for the first time in a long time his former self shone through the veil of control. From the speaker built into his prosthetic the electronic voice of his handler echoed through "Damn it! Get him back under control before he makes a mess of things! NOW!"

Omato looked down at his artificial arm then back towards the Demon, his eyebrow raising slightly "Looks like our time will be cut short soon enough. Until then, how about we play a little? I believe its your move." His grin transformed into a smile. Typical arrogant, prideful Saiyan.

The Demon responded in kind to his provocation and its entire body was consumed by power in which Omato could physically sense. Although his scouter had been damaged, and thus incapable of detecting his obviously rising signature, he could feel its increase through the intense pressure pushing against this body from all directions which caused the smile across his face to intensify "Yes...YES! That's more like it! Come creature! My blood boils in response to your challenge!"

No sooner did the words escape his mouth that the Oni approached him, and with speed he could barely follow. The large sword was swung horizontally and despite its size and obvious weight it'd been handled as if it were made of bamboo, its sharp blade slicing through the air looking to cleave the Saiyan in twain. The demons movements were swift and Omato wasn't able to respond a matching speed. Instead all he could do was prepare for the offensive, lifting his prosthetic arm to intercept cold steel from cutting warm flesh and blood. The heavy weapon collided with the artificial appendage and the intense force sent the Saiyan flying to the side, his body smashing through vegetation and rock causing a cloud of debris and dust to rise.

From the mist the Saiyan picked himself up and brushed the dirt from his armor and attire, his fist balled up to his mouth as he coughed. Such a dramatic rise in power! Only moments ago the two stood toe to toe yet in the blink of an eye that bridge had crumbled. Omatos battle experience told him that the engagement had been taken up to the next level. The familiar sound of the electronic voice emitted from the speaker in his prosthetic appendage, thought it was slightly distorted due to the nature of the last attack "This test is a failure. Return the subject at once or we risk losing a valuable asset!" the background voices were indiscernible and their words could not be heard over the scattering noises of battle or the damaged audio output. Omato looked down and snickered. He'd not have much time before they'd manage to retake control thus ending the fun. In response the Saiyan widened his stance, looking at the Oni across the battlefield who was now a few meters away. He'd had a similar ace up his sleeve, a technique which allowed him to increase his power five fold but the trade off was the lack of control he had over its use. In this state he was strong, that was true, but it came at the cost of losing ones mentality. And Omato had spent enough time under control.

Instead the Saiyan widened his stance, his fists clenching tightly as the smile on his face widened. It'd been so long since he felt alive. He prompted the demon to make his next move.
