CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
Desmond is 10"/305cm. Even though he is an absolute tower of a man, and even given his normally intimidating size, he has a welcoming and protective demeanour. He has a muscular and square frame in general, though with more rounded edges. His knuckles, elbows, knees, shoulders and spine are reinforced with a layer of tough chitin on top. Desmond has dark blue hair, styled vaguely like a pompadour, that has a bright green tip, he also has some facial hair.
Even for a man of his size, Desmond is consistently well dressed, typically going for a nice buttoned up dress shirt usually in pastel faded green; he has a fondness for novelty bow ties, especially those with a scientific theme. Additionally, he often wears dark green suspenders, dark green-black trousers with green cuffs and simple black dress shoes with pastel green laces. Sometimes he also wears a black blazer that has a lime green interior.
Even for a man of his size, Desmond is consistently well dressed, typically going for a nice buttoned up dress shirt usually in pastel faded green; he has a fondness for novelty bow ties, especially those with a scientific theme. BACKGROUND:
Many centuries ago, some say even a few millennia— a secret scientific foundation was created, it’s true place of origin was unknown. It was a foundation that had a simple goal; Categorize, understand, restore and examine the flow of life. They discovered new species, learned about them in great detail and preserved all they found as well. If they got the chance to reintroduce an extinct or lost form of life, they would take it.
This scientific foundation evolved alongside it’s goal, and spread across space. Various projects and marvels of mortal ingenuity were seen to; all in secrecy. A long stretch of time would pass, leadership passed through many hands until it was left with a very eccentric woman on Earth; Di’enka Rybenyc; a master geneticist. She understood the ancient aspects of the foundation better than anyone. However, with the level of technology now available to them; she developed an idea for an artificial being based on the pillars of this foundation and her unending (and perhaps even concerning to some people) love for life itself. It would be designed as a protector, educator, something truly marvelous, the ultimate creation of the foundation that could one day carry them further than they had already come.
Unfortunately Di’enka had an older half-brother; Gene'omii and he was... Far less compassionate than her, massively jealous too. How did she, one that acted so immature, so wildly, ridiculously— how did she get all the glory, all the success? What was Gene missing? He just didn’t get it, he couldn’t get it.
So, instead, he would take it.
Gene, in a furious bout of jealous clouded judgement; copied and stole a very early set of data assuming that it was one of the more modern blueprints, but it was not the case. He took something far too dangerous for him to handle and scurried away into hiding, recruiting like-minded individuals from outside of the foundation— out of some remaining respect, Gene never spoke about the foundation from which he pilfered data to anyone, but karma for thievery of this kind would come back to bite him many decades later once his creation was clearly more than he bargained for.
Di’enka was also not as childish or naive as Gene would have liked to believe. In truth, she was immensely cunning, and caught on to what was happening rather quickly. Unlike Gene, she knew the risks of misusing scientific findings and data of this scale. So, she would put even more passion, drive and hard work into her main project, one that she now labelled; DNA-SM.
It would take a long time, and one day Di’enka had everything she needed. She had engineered, bio-programmed and finally began the creation process which would take a few more months. Rather than create a fully grown entity ready to go out of the jar, Di’enka found it important that the creation had a life of its own, she had already given it it’s ‘foundation’ in both a figurative and literal sense anyway. Now, her magnum opus needed to grow. Unfortunately she had grown old, so she could not hope to raise what was essentially her child. Even if she was assisted by various technologies, she was at a limit and would soon perish and she knew that.
As a result, Di’enka made a collection of all of her personal logs ever since she got into the field of science up until now, bookending it with all the extra information that her creation would need whenever they wanted to see it and learn more about their background. Furthermore, she ran background checks to find a suitable family environment wherein her creation could be raised. Eventually, she found the perfect place, it was a state of the art multi-biome wildlife reserve and ranger hub in the Western Wilds region. It was perfect.
When she fully was ready, she took her creation from the gestation pod as a young baby to deliver to their new home; explaining the situation to her creation’s acting parents; Robin and Cory Soma. Accepting the responsibility, they named this child Desmond. They raised Desmond with love and care, and he grew impressively both in body and mind as the years went by. He excelled in schooling, learning at a previously unthinkable pace; and he even entered the family business at the wildlife reserve as young as fourteen; he absolutely flourished.
Growing into one fine giant of man, alongside his responsibilities at the wildlife reserve and as a park ranger, Desmond took to teaching, providing his wealth of knowledge through all education levels at Orange Star Academy with various subjects, specializing in biology.
All the while, Desmond embodied everything Di’enka could have ever hoped; and though she would not get to see it, she would be proud of him, and even prouder whenever he realized his full potential, but now, it was all up to him to bring everything together...

The air immediately around Desmond begins to boil into a green fog as Desmond overflows with Ki that whirls wildly around his body. At any point he chooses, he can conjure and unleash a powerful and incredibly dangerous wave of glowing green and red searing acidic Ki that can liquify defenses and cause serious chemical burns that have a harsh lasting sting effect.

Through both a show of immense power and skilled application of his ki, Desmond is able to fly through the air. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
Utility Technique || Extreme Electroreception
Desmond’s biology innately allows him to sense, and differentiate the life signatures of attacks and all living beings without the Anti-Sense trait. Stronger life signatures are easier to sense and can be sensed at greater distances than lower ones. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
