CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
BACKGROUND: What you would consider the stereotypical martial artists that could fit in most eras if there is a tournament involved. She lives to fight and fights to live with a chip on her shoulder as big as the strength of her kicks and an ego to match. Her parents named her after the color of her hair on the day of her birth, but truth be told she matches that of a raging inferno than a pretty gemstone.
Never having won a Budokai, she's participated in all but one since she was old enough to throw a kick without falling. She missed the most recent due to the strength of the participants and losing out in both a match for entry and failing the lottery entry as a replacement. For most of her adult life she was able to get by with not her strength but her knowledge and array of techniques. Being taught by three separate masters over the years, it wasn't until failing entry into the recent Budokai that she not only realize she didn't have near enough strength but couldn't fall back on talent and techniques. Now looking for a new teacher and looking to improve herself on the whole, Ruby is eyeing the competition, biding her time, and making noise while doing it.
Ruby wears an outfit with inspiration from each of her three teachers but with a simple color scheme of yellow and black. Her pants and boots are partially weighted, not for training purposes but for partial extra kicking momentum and a remember of the importance of improving. Her clothes are made of a fireproof outer coating as one of her stronger kicks is well known for catching fire between the speed and power of the ki behind it, and the friction caused when striking most surfaces.
She has no deep need to protect others, and no schemes or sinister plots to do harm, just a single-minded goal of getting stronger and kicking anything in the way.

Utility Technique || Ki Sensing
A technique that allows you to sense, measure, and differentiate the ki signatures of ki attacks and all living beings without the Anti-Sense trait. Higher ki signatures are easier to sense and can be sensed at greater distances than lower ones. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
Utility Technique || Ki Suppression
Skilled control over your ki allows you to suppress your Power Level to a minimum of 1 PL to either hide or use this lower PL to fight characters weaker than your full strength on even footing. This technique is passive and does not require KP use.
