PL: 5 Sankishin: 17,000 Anti-Sense: On WC: 417
Knowledge always had a price, and that price was hard labor for Kamae. Illusions, mind tricks and strange visions plagued him the whole way up. Yet they could not stop the ever advancing demon, as he knew the truth and was not so easily daunted. Even when faced with Karna, he knew the truth and cast away the lies that kept him from reach the top. It was... a frustrating experience to say the least. Yet the demon pressed on, his full power easily able to crush anything that got in his way.
But that was some time ago now, hours? Days? He couldn't tell in this place nor did he care. Time meant nothing for one who was already a spirit. Even as Kamae was crouched down next to the furnace, examining it to see what it was, he could only really identify it was being some sort of barrier. This whole place was not something to be taken lightly. It housed magic that most would hesitate to mess with, and whatever it was meant to keep at bay, it was doing a good job of.
Kamae's hand ran along the side of the furnace, feeling the heat from the fire within and looking it up then down again as he paced. Truth be told, this accursed thing might be just what he was looking for... If only he had built his lab here. Perhaps he could do so in the future, build a second one here. But what made this thing tick? Why did the fires burn? How did they stay lit for this long? Was there a fire keeper? Was it something that just occurred naturally? Did this place just appear from nothing? He doubted it, but it was possible.
After a few circles, the Demon had finally settled down onto a nearby wall, making a chair for him to sit while he stared at the furnace in question. Comfortable as he was, the Sankishin's Aura was what was soothing him. The spirit held an instrument in its hands, placing music that echoed through the chambers. An ancient song by his people, a song for the spirit to heal and was designed to be enlightening. A symbolic song for the light god Karna, but he enjoyed it nonetheless.
Perhaps in time... he would make this place his home... and from here he might one day rule a kingdom of his own? He chuckled at that notion, deciding to never entertain that thought ever again.
