There was a cold chill in the air of Imperial Cruiser Glacius, though it did not come from space. The killer intent of the passengers had changed the temperature, however subtly it may have been. Those inside were numbered few, but the only two that mattered were the Saiyan’s at the helm.
Vocado sat silent for the trip, hardly blinking in their short journey. In the time since his departure, he’d been able to pinpoint the orbiting site of Azoth’s own ship, and was headed on a direct course. There was the smallest inclination in his mind to ram their ship into his, but he decided against it. The lizard people could survive in space, or so the stories say. For now, they needed some small semblance of tact.
”Hover here, Orenji. Let’s make contact.”
Cracking his neck, his hand hovered over the button to transmit a communication signal, but he stopped just short to look over at Ise. She too was ready. Emboldened.
Suicidal.
A crackling audio feed hissed to life in the depths of Azoth’s own ship, should he choose to accept the call. Coming from an Arcosian vessel, the frequency might be recognizable, though whether or not Azoth had ever spoken formally with Hibernal before they came to blows was knowledge Vocado was not privy to.
”This is Vocado of House Bonemoon; Captain of the Shredder Corp. We seek an audience with Emperor Azoth, and clearance to dock our ship alongside your own.”
Vocado paused, and waited, cursing himself mentally. Why didn’t he lie? Surely he could’ve made up some Arcosian name to make it less suspicious? Oh well. They were in it now, he supposed.
He looked to his niece for guidance. What would she say?
