Tabasco

Tabasco was born and raised on the Solarian homeworld of Solstice until the abrupt death of his mother. At which point, his father Scallio left the ongoing war on Planet Plant to retrieve him. Going from the peaceful world of Solstice to the conflict-ridden Plant was challenging for him. Being unfamiliar with Saiyan customs made it even more difficult. With his father constantly on the battlefield, Tabasco had no one to teach him either.

He soon learned, however, that Saiyan culture coddled no one. If he couldn't prove his worth, they'd discard him. Tabasco had no choice but to put his disinterest in fighting aside. He adapted, learning alongside the other children with reluctant zeal. Despite this, he was a quick study. A natural-born tactician, he could read the battlefield and his opponents with ease. Tabasco further honed the talent meticulously to make up for always fighting at half-strength

Overwhelming anger has always gnawed at Tabasco's mind. Even on Solstice, he struggled to keep it at bay. When he'd fail too, Tabasco would blackout, lost in his rage. He'd return to his senses surrounded by destruction a few hours later. His memory of the things he'd done, absent. He learned to keep his anger suppressed but not without crippling his power.

What little innocence Tabasco had left died once he started fighting on the front lines. Its last embers snuffed out the day he lost his arm. He was providing back-up to his father's squad. Tuffles ambushed them and slaughtered most of the squadron. If not for his father's aid, Tabasco would have lost more than his arm in the skirmish.

Rather than sulk over his missing limb. Tabasco created a robotic replacement using Tuffle technology. The arm was sluggish at first and slow to respond to his commands. It hindered more than helped him in combat. So, Tabasco set about improving it. He needed man and machine to be one - flawlessly connected. While he searched for a way to make it possible, he experimented on captured Tuffles.

It was those very experiments that led to his fascination with genetics. DNA, Saiyan DNA in particular, had remarkable potential when combined with other species. What other secrets did it hold, he wondered? More importantly - could he take the traits of different races and graft them onto himself? Maybe even regrow his arm?

He shifted his focus to find out. Eventually, Tabasco founded GROWTH Labs. Pitched as a branch of the military focused on creating equipment to aid the Saiyans in battle. GROWTH's true purpose was to provide Tabasco with a secure space to work.

Now that there is a cease-fire with the Tuffles, he can work towards his goal without interruption.
