Satanael's eyes opened slowly, blearily blinking as he summarily peeled a stuck document to his face off. That was quite strange. He had of course slept before but never felt so discombobulated when waking up. And aside from that... "My heads a mess." Headaches weren't uncommon for Shinjin. They were, in fact, quite impossible under normal circumstances. So what gives? Maybe a pot of pitch black coffee would help. Well, it probably wouldn't, no metabolism to actually dissolve the caffeine and everything, but the placebo was quite nice. Now all that was left to do was- "Are you finally up?"
He blinked, addled mind struggling to process why the sudden voice seemed so out of place in his... locked office... hm. The Kai's head swiveled to see a cross-armed figure that he'd only 'seen' before in a relative sense. A mirror image of himself save for the fact she was a female. Yet that couldn't be. The two were essentially two halves to a whole being, sharing general thoughts and experiences. "Is this some sort of hallucination-?" Her face wrinkled in response, sniffing as she pushed her thin-rimmed glasses up slightly higher.
"As far as I could deduce, no. This is reality. As much as I'd rather it not be at the moment." He paused after her response, thoroughly confused as to what was going on. "So your name- our name. It's Satanael." They spoke in perfect unison down to the exact cadence of the word. "So. If we're separated... we'll need to come up with a temporary solution to the whole naming debacle, yes. Well the lie of having a sibling doesn't seem to be a lie anymore. They know us by Satanael so let us do as humans do and count that as a surname. Meaning we've need to take 'first' names, yes? Yes. Though calling oneself something they aren't will be a very strange feeling to get used to."
Well this entire situation was just annoying. Sure they already had an existing cover story, but how were they meant to explain the situation to Derry? Let alone get any work done when they're still so muddled. "You DO feel that odd distraction too, right? Yes. It's dimmed a bit since I awoke earlier than 'you' but it's still present. Though we couldn't sense it. Meaning the link is gone. Is it though? Our thoughts may be seemingly separated but take this conversation as an example. More akin to a train of thought than two individuals discussing. Right right, but synced thought process would be inevitable considering the circumstances. It doesn't point to there being a connection of sorts still. It doesn't disprove it either. In fact it is more likely than not. True to an extent. ...Names?"
The duo paused, both touching their chins in thought. "Berith. Sitri. That will do well enough."
After a slightly awkward preparation the two bundled together what little legal work they had into different folders and walked out the office doors together, out unto the streets of central city. "I suppose we'll see each other later. Yes, I suppose."
