CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
BACKGROUND: An unremarkably remarkable Android from an average-intelligence Tuffle genius. The fourth miracle of engineering that week. A shining beacon of Tuffle excellence, and yet, it was one shining beacon against the sun. She was a Destron Droid. Not the first of her kind, but the first of her make. Yet another Tuffle weapon of war- one among thousands, each more sophisticated then the last, yet unable to tip the scales in an endless war....
Yet, these facts never once disheartened Curie.
She was programmed to do but one thing- fight. Her state-of-the-art Destron Core provided her with a perpetual motion machine of fuel- built to keep fighting for as long as her body would hold out. Built to never surrender- to keep fighting as long as was needed. She had no interest in whatever petty philosophical disputes the intellectuals who mewled over her were waging- it made no difference to her. None at all. Not even a little bit.
All Curie really wanted to do was what she was built for- wage war. Fight, kill, pillage, dominate.
Yet, peace dragged on- the stalemated war continued to lay stagnant, even as Curie witnessed her people advance forward. She couldn't help but feel, though, that all their advancements...
Well, they amounted to nothing, at the end of the day. They must've been cowardly- for all their genius, they built a war machine and told it to make peace. An utterly boring existence, subservient to people whom she despised, built to fight a war that nobody seemed willing to wage.
Indeed, it was tortuous for Curie, an Android who was built to let loose, yet was unable.
But there was a saving grace for her. The Android, trapped in her facility with no mind of her own, a slave to her most base programming, woke up. Doctor Yatapi, a researcher working for Satsuma Labs, implanted her with a chip that bestowed upon her a newfound emotional range. Curie was born anew- no longer a simple tool of war, but rather, a sentient being ripe with curiosity. Her chains would be broken that night- but they would not be broken to wage war. Rather... they would be broken to assuage her own peace.
In the dead of night, Curie committed two crimes- one, she dismantled her two siblings, the previous two androids built by her creator; and two, she crippled the poor old man who built her- a repair droid, and an experimental droid using nanotechnology. For a night, his lab was hers- and she got to work assimilating the power and abilities of her two sibling droids, creating something greater then the sum of their parts. She fled, and a menace to scientists everywhere was born.
Free of her initial directives, Curie was freed to do as she wish; and she had much she wished to do.
