Desert Nomads [Invite]

Nilen was content with his current course of action and with the situation he'd gotten himself into. In truth, he expected things to go rather poorly on his first day venturing out of his homeland, but fate smiled upon him. He made a new friend and found his path in life on the first day away from home. Surely none of his tribe past or present could claim such a bold feat. He couldn't take the credit, though. It was Azoth that had given him the idea. He was just lucky enough, and perhaps modestly wise enough, to understand the value of the idea to begin with.

When that card popped out of the odd device the Arcosian held out, Nilen was confused and uncertain at first. His left ear twitched as he eyed the thing with interest. "This is some form of currency? We don't have money within our own society, but we do very rarely trade or barter with outsiders. Several years between visits, normally. We are at least aware that money exists, but since we do not use it ourselves it is still a foreign concept. No need for things like money when everyone does what benefits everyone else out of familial loyalty."

After waiting for an explanation of how the card worked or what it even was, he'd reach a hand out to accept it so that he could set off to begin purchasing the things he expected to need for the trip. This turned out to be an exceptionally productive day in addition to the excitement that came with leaving home for the firs time.

"Are you speaking candidly, Azoth? No disrespect, but what use would I have for...something to scrape the skies? How do you use something like that? Does it fly?" Clearly it was lost on the fox that extremely tall buildings were called 'skyscrapers' and now he was very confused as a result. Still, he nodded to his new companion and headed off towards the city. It was time to take the first step toward change for his people.
