While it was not often that Kyoha was completely out of jobs to do, but sometimes there were just no criminals out and about that the police couldn't handle. Not every murder case or bank robbery had to be committed by superhumans.
So, then, what would be the most appropriate thing to do with time away from your job? Maybe go out on a vacation? Spend time learning new skills? Spend a night out on the town?
For the bounty hunter, training was obviously a prime choice but he also took to traveling. He needed to know every single place on the entire planet intimately in order to catch any particularly sneaky quarries, and he couldn't just rely on being able to sense the ki of criminals. Some of them were as weak as regular Humans so it'd be impossible to pick them out from anybody else, and there were even people who could hide their energy completely.
And so, for this little journey he decided to try and get a better lay of the land in the Korin Forest. It was well known for how vast and maze-like it was, and that's without even mentioning all of the ancient structures or secluded tribes buried within its depths. If somebody wanted to get off the grid and be completely untraceable, there were few places greater than here.
Taking just the bare minimum in supplies, Kyoha has now spent a couple days mentally mapping out the many nooks and crannies of the forest, and was now taking some time to rest. Eating some instant ramen out of his cooking pot, he lounges up on the branches of one of the many trees in the forest. Progress was slow here, especially with how many areas looked completely identical, but he was happy to keep at it. He knew this would be a particularly long project for him right from the start, one that he'd probably have to keep coming back to between jobs, but it was worth it. It could potentially be useful for his work, and spending time camping in the woods between work was rather calming.
