STARTING PLANET: Earth
HOME REGION: Central City (Rocky North)
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Yogu's a pretty alright-looking guy. If you can excuse the smell, the messy unkempt hair, ratty clothes, weird pointed ears, and regular cuts and bruises from brawls he just got out of. His height is fairly average for earthlings, standing at 5'8" with an average build. His attire tends to not change much. Being homeless will do that. He can usually be seen wearing some cheap hawaiian shirt, sunglasses, and a pair of beat-up jeans. His look is best described as the coolest man on earth if he got hit by several cars and lived in garbage.
BACKGROUND: Yogu was born in Age 1003, to a Konatsian father and an Earthling mother. But the story of Yogu's family begins much further back than that. With a distant ancestor, one from the Planet Konats, during the time of the Kashvar Monsters. These terrible beasts created by the Kashvar had one simple goal, to destroy everything and kill anyone in its path. The monsters rampaged across Konats, bringing chaos and destruction everywhere they went. Unable to defeat the creatures, the Konatsians used their mystical arts to seal the monsters away inside the bodies of strong enough warriors. This of course was not a permanent solution. The Monster that had been sealed in this ancestor of Yogu was a smart one- committed to its goals too. It didn't care how long it would have to lay dormant, how many generations it would have to pass through until it found the right moment to force its way out and resume its destruction. Time went on, and the line between the Kashvar Monster and the Konatsians that carried it inside grew thinner and thinner with each generation. Many years passed, and Yogu's Great-Grandfather left his homeworld to settle down on Earth. Even more time passed and Yogu's Grandfather, a man that despite being a Konatsian knew almost nothing of his people, was a Martial Artist who trained his children and taught them about Ki. Because of the training and their Konatsian ancestry (And the Monster that hid within them), Yogu's family was naturally stronger than most other Earthlings.
Yogu grew up in a rather nice home. His parents loved him, he got along well with his two sisters, and the boy had plenty of friends. But most of all, Yogu was closest with his grandfather. So much so that at the age of ten, Yogu began learning martial arts under him. The young hybrid had a natural affinity for it, and soon enough he had control over his ki that was quite incredible for a boy of his age. The training carried on until his grandfather passed away when Yogu was just thirteen. The death had a massive impact on Yogu. The silly, kind boy he was had left for the most part. He retreated inward and began to carry this anger with him everywhere he went. The boy resented adults, his parents most of all. He began to rely entirely on the martial arts he had learned through his grandfather, abusing his power and completely disregarding the point of what he was taught. He quickly gained a reputation around school as this bully on a fast track to nowhere. He'd get into fights with people constantly, skipped school, and got up to all sorts of delinquency. However, he'd never go too far with it, always having his siblings around to keep him in check and stop him from getting into too much trouble. But that wouldn't last forever.
He graduated from Orange Star High, and with that came the start of a new chapter in his life. Which began with Yogu slipping up a little too much. Letting out his inner anger a little too hard. The Monster awoke from its slumber, finally seizing an opportunity it had waited hundreds of years for. When Yogu had come to, he was standing in rubble. An entire building in Central City had been destroyed by his hands when he lost control. There wasn't another soul in sight. His mind was racing and then immediately shut down again when he heard the sound of police sirens. In his dazed and confused state, the only thing he could think to do was run. So that is exactly what he did, right out of Central City, and right out of his friends and families' lives. He was on his own now, which meant no one was there to stop him from doing or saying something stupid. This new chapter of his life was bound to get a lot more interesting now.

Power: 60%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: Evasive
Medium Offensive || Kamehameha
This is that one move from that thing. You remember, with the guy and he'd fight the other guys and he'd hit em with the big move. Yeah, you know.
Power: 60%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Sniper
Medium Offensive [30k] || Ki Overdrive
Yogu's let's his energy go wild with a barrage of punches and kicks! Usually accompanied by screaming and profanity.
Power: 50%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: N/A
Medium Offensive [50k] || Hellzone Pinball
Monster throws out a field of ki mines into the air, grabs his opponent, and sends the both of them crashing into one! This sets off a chain reaction where Monster and the unfortunate soul along for the ride are knocked into explosion after explosion, bouncing around like a pinball! Requires the Possession tech to be active to use.
Power: 60%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Bleed
Heavy Offensive [20k] || Super Kamehameha
Yogu's go-to move, only bigger and super-er! The only problem is that he can barely control the damn thing once it goes off!
Power: 90%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: N/A
Heavy Offensive [60k] || Super Evil Omega Death Wave... Of Doom!
Monster unleashes a wave of evil magic energy, vaporizing anything that stands in its path of destruction! Requires the Possession tech to be active to use.
Power: 100%
KP Cost: 6 KP
Variants: Spiteful
Support Technique || Solar Flare
You release a blinding flash of light, replicating the sun's rays. This allows you to attempt to escape any thread or travel between splits in an Action Thread more safely. This technique valued at 60% of your total power and requires 2 KP to use. In order to stop you, a player must use a technique that is superior in power to your Solar Flare. You cannot undo your escape via Solar Flare if you are successful, but you can use KP to defend if it is overcome.
SPARKING Heavy [+3 TP]|| Turtle Style Last Resort
An old technique passed down through the Turtle Hermits. Yogu charges up and shoots a lightning blast of ki towards the target using both hands, trapping them in an electrical field and doing incredible damage. According to legend, this technique turns all the energy in the user's body into 20,000 volts of electricity. The attack is extremely lethal and dangerous to the user, and as such, Turtle Hermits prefer not to use it.
Power: 160%
KP Cost: 6 KP
MP Cost: 4 MP
Variants: Bleed+
SPARKING Heavy [+3 TP, 100k]|| The Big One
It's the big one. Yogu and Monster put everything into one devastating punch with the power to destroy a planet several times over. It takes a while to charge, so whether or not it will ever be used is dubious at best.
Power: 180%
KP Cost: 6 KP
MP Cost: 4 MP
Variants: Preparation
Utility Technique || Ki Sensing
A technique that allows Yogu to sense, measure, and differentiate the ki signatures of ki attacks and all living beings without the Anti-Sense trait. Higher ki signatures are easier to sense and can be sensed at greater distances than lower ones. This technique is passive and does not use KP use.
Utility Technique || Ki Suppression
Skilled control over Yogu's ki allows him to suppress his Power Level to a minimum of 1 PL to either hide or use this lower PL to fight characters weaker than his full strength on even footing. This technique is passive and does not require KP use.
Utility Technique [Ki For Dummies #1] || Long-Range Ki Control
Using all of his focus, Yogu is able to control his ki after it has already left his hand. Examples of this ability's uses include, stopping a ki blast in mid air, changing its' direction, boomeranging it back to him, etc. This only affects generic ki attacks and not techniques.
Utility Technique [Ki For Dummies #2] || Possession
Yogu is possessed by a Kashvaran Monster! Called Monster! This tech allows Monster to take control of Yogu at will and get up to all sorts of eeeevil. This technique is passive and does not require KP.
Utility Technique [Ki For Dummies #3] || Devil Arms
Monster grows two additional arms out of his back to rip and tear with! This technique is passive and does not require KP. Requires the Possession tech to be active to use.
Utility Technique [Ki For Dummies #4] || Magic Materialization
Monster knows magic! Characters with magical abilities can conjure objects or structures. Larger or more complicated things will take more energy and focus to create. This technique is passive and does not require KP. Requires the Possession tech to be active to use.
Support Technique || MAX Power
You may opt to increase all techniques by 10%. This prevents you from using evasive techniques, escapes, and blocking escapes. You will be unable to gain any momentum during this effect. If you run out of MP while using MAX Power, you lose its effects immediately and can not gain any MP on your next turn. You may only deactivate MAX Power at the conclusion of your turn.
