Matoto was sure he was going to be able to overwhelm Liari at this point, the two were pushing against each other but something was amiss about this. She had been talking to herself earlier but now it was all quiet once more... save for the roaring of the energy sphere. This was not like what he had been experiencing so far, and he soon got his answer. Liari speaking out about what she said before then repeating her earlier words. He could tell then something was coming, but given his situation he couldn't dodge it. Unfortunately that something came through the attack he was currently defending against.
Surprise was written upon his face as he managed a startled "WHAT?!" only to be engulfed in an explosion. What happened next was unknown to him as he found himself in pitch darkness soon after. The dust settling after the explosion to reveal nothing more than a waste land, a crater filling with water at the basin thanks to the melted ice. The destroyed area was massive, befitting an attack that could well have destroyed a city. Matoto however... was not dead.
His eyes slowly opening only to be found in darkness, his surroundings enveloped by so black a shroud he couldn't make out where he was. His armor was busted up, his body felt heavy as the cuts and gashes littered his body all over. He began to wonder how long he had been knocked out for, slowly his senses returned to him however. He was in the middle of a fight, one that had erupted into such a climax it had knocked him out. However had hit him... ahh he remembered now. Liari... The blue majin girl had tempted him into taking a full hit from her attack and here he was now. He was alive but... he had failed to defend himself from it.
A burning formed in his chest then, frustration bubbling up in his chest, then turned to burning anger. The energy and hype of the fight having soon been consumed by his anger, the bubbling in his guts searing his happiness away for the moment. Yet he managed to calm himself down as he lay in the buried rocks, taking a moment to compose himself carefully. It was his fault, he had assumed he could take that hit without much effort and he suffered the consequences of such an action.
Slowly his eyes opened after calming himself down, the area in the center lighting up with blue ki. Thin pillars of light bursting from the cracks of the debris before an explosion erupted from their confines. The dust being dispersed almost immediately to reveal a battered Matoto. His armor was in shambles, the left side having been destroyed, with the left sleeve having disappeared to reveal a burned arm. It wasn't so bad as to effect his efforts in the fight but it was an injury none the less.
Matoto was tired now, it was visible on his face and body as sweat lingered on his cheek. His smile was gone, his eyes fixed on the girl. He wasn't angry anymore, not at her per say, but at himself for clearly being injured. Had he taken this seriously he might have come out of this unharmed. He was normally happy to be injured, and battered, that was what a fight was all about. Yet he found himself incredibly frustrated because his pride was nicked.
"Hmph... I suppose that was a fine attack... Hurt like hell thats for sure."
Matoto was clearly putting on a bit of a show, though it wasn't a complete buff. He was still very much in this fight, but he was not without his own hurts. Matoto then smiled up at the girl, crossing his arms once more as if to challenger her once again. It hurt to cross his arms....
"So Liari, what say you and I get down to the real fight now huh? I can't afford to lose now, not after that display and I'd wager that it took a lot out of you to fire that attack..."
With that the saiyan's feet began to leave the ground then, slowly floating to be on the same height as Liari. That smirk of confidence had returned, and he kept his air of superiority like before. His pride was in full swing now, despite it being frustrating to have been hurt so badly.
"Now that its settled I can take anything you can throw at me and then some..."
Matoto held up a hand, before doing a "come here" motion, mockingly gesturing for her to keep attacking.
