Conflict made FleshRosemary22yo Female Oni-Dominant, Saiyan HybridAncient Knowledge, Dark Departure, Demonic MightQuick Learner, VampiricPlant, Vegeta RegionHistoryIn this universe, there exist beings of such evil that they are said to subsist on the terrors carried out by mortals. They use their powers of influence to spark creativity in the minds of the cruel, and from time to time, cross over into our world in whole, where their dread power may wreak havoc until the primordial forces of reality are called to set things right again.
Rosemary's origins share many things with such beings. Conceived of the horrors and cruelty of the war between the Saiyans and Tuffle, she was born to a Saiyan woman who had not known her mate. Coupled with her mysterious origins, the girl's horns and hairless tail were looked down on as deformities, and her mother was pressured to toss the child to the beasts of the wastelands. She was a bad omen, or even worse, would be of no use to the Saiyan people.
So, the girl was abandoned at a young age, left to fend for herself for as long as she could survive on her own. However, death could not claim the child, whose mere presence was enough to drive weak-willed predators mad before she could be harmed. When she was found by a wandering clergyman, she was consuming a group of saibabeasts who had been slain by vicious infighting.
At the age of six, she was brought to a church on the fringe of Saiyan society; a small group that worshiped the moon as their deity and the Oozaru as their god's gift to the Saiyan race. There, she was fed and cared for, and soon trained to wield her strength more effectively. She was taught the ways of the religion, and came to revere the Oozaru for its strength as they did.
Rosemary's strength rapidly spiked in her teenage years as she approached maturity, though unfortunately, control of her Oozaru form did not come easily to the girl. Emboldened by the light of the full moon, it took several transformed adults to calm her rampage. By the end of the night, other immature Oozaru had also been driven to attack their brothers and sisters in a rage, and several had been wounded severely.
The girl was elated to hear of this.
It was shortly after her seventeenth birthday that she was admitted to the Saiyan royal army, and deployed to the border to aid in the fight against the Tuffle resistance. It was here that her blood boiled with an excitement she hadn't felt since her first transformation. She reveled in her duties, and took advantage of her skills in ways the adults thought bizarre. Though her battle power couldn't stand out among the more experienced Saiyans around her, her intelligence kept her alive for the next few years.
However, tragedy struck in her twentieth year, when a lucky energy bolt pierced her armor and wounded the young woman so gravely that it was thought to be mortal for a time. To her amazement, though, her existence didn't merely cease. In the months she spent recovering in a medical tank, her spirit wandered another realm, one populated by beings who looked bizarrely similar to herself, yet she could not find the voice to speak to them. Others appeared as fluffy clouds, obviously sentient but entirely ignorant of even her presence.
Since that day, she would occasionally dream of that world again, until one day, her voice finally came to her. She was called many things: a layabout, lazy, even trespasser. It was several more months before she had found someone willing to speak to her during her nighttime excursions, and she learned of the place called Heaven that she had been intruding upon. She had also been taught of Hell and its denizens, but before she could inquire further, the waking world stole her back, and she had never found that helpful being again.
Before she was able to return to the battlefield, tragedy would strike again. The Saiyan and Tuffle leaders had slain one another in battle, and the fighting had been called off on a fragile standstill while neither faction had rightful leadership. Rosemary's anger flared, but she still had questions that needed answering. This time of lessened hostility might have been fortuitous enough to allow her to investigate what exactly had happened to her.
So, upset but ever opportunistic, she resolved herself to train and better understand her situation while she could...
