Somewhere within the capital.
Come on you piece of crap
The battle for Salada's Capital is in full swing. Distant explosions erupt on the city's horizon, bathing a quarter of the buildings in a sickly red light. Massive silhouettes stalk the crimson gloom, and an unnatural moon hangs low in the sky. The tuffle forces are in full route, their ground troops making a desperate fighting withdraw under the cover of airship cannon fire. The sound of war is a horrendous of shouts, distant beamfire, and the screams of Oozaru. Beneath it all however, a lone deserter is attempting to break into a home- hoping to find his fortune.
Fish had been trying at the home's lock for about five minutes, his mind probing at the tumblers. While physically weak, a besan's mind was highly evolved and capable of a wide range of abilities. Every member of Fish's species possesses some sort of psionic ability, but the strengths of these abilities were far from equal. In fact, the majority of the besan people could do little more then cheap mental tricks. Fish's mind on the other-hand, can physically interact with the world around him. With some concentration, Fish is able to shape and focus his very will at the lock's tumblers- forming a psionic lockpick of sorts to force the tumblers into an open position. Unfortunately for Fish, whatever material the saiyan's use for their locks is extremely heavy. "What kind of freaks are these-" The merc gasped as he mental grip slipped, the tumblers lock back into position. That little slip reversed whatever progress he made.
"Gah! This blows!"
The mercenary beat his head into the door, sighing in frustration. He's running out of time. The tuffles are doing a fine job of keeping the oozaru's attention, but once they're gone the monkey's are probably gonna start sweeping for survivors. He needed to get out of the city before then, preferably with a saiyan's life savings. The alien's communicator beeped, informing Fish that tuffle's evacuation craft are only gonna be lingering for about four more minutes. The alien's gonna have one more shot at this before he's forced to leave this city empty handed.
Fish inhaled and focused on the lock- veins bulging along both sides of his temples. So focused was he on the door, that the alien continued to forsake his surroundings.
"Just..alittle..more."
