CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
Unfortunately... being a messiah was really, really annoying.
Believing she had a greater destiny, her family bent over backwards to give her what she wanted. They praised the ground she stepped upon showered her with praise and gifts, attended to even the slightest discomfort. Usually, this would result in an arrogant child, one who thought themselves above it all. Or, maybe it produced a child who felt like they didn't live up to the legacy which they had been entrusted with. All distinct possibilities.
But Acerola? Acerola just thought the whole thing was irritating. She was really tired of being a perfect angel, surrounded by people who'd praise her for doing quite literally anything, no matter how mundane it may have been. Having all her needs attended to was boring- she didn't get to feel the satisfaction of doing anything herself. That third eye held so much potential, but it was wasted! Annoying! It was really, really annoying.
So she left; left into the world of Martial Arts, where she soon found she belonged.
Studying under the Crane School for several years, Acerola quickly mastered the form with the aid of her third eye. Irritated, she moved on to other martial arts forms, seeking ever greater challenges, ever greater ways to test the limits of her skill and ability. Ever greater ways to unlock that mythical potential of that third eye, to draw out more of what it could possibly do. After all, she was the only one who could find out!
Eventually, this search led her to MMA. Acerola happened to fit in like a glove, and by hiding her third eye during matches, she became a new, highly-skilled competitor- Ms. Tique, the woman with many strange techniques!
There would be one person, though, who would learn that these techniques were not so strange at all, and were in fact faucets of a whole different world of martial arts. That man's name was Cassidy, and the two hit it off.
That was many years ago, though; despite how close the two are, their wildly clashing personalities often put them at odds with one another. Both retired from MMA, they now share a home, pursuing their own separate goals under a shared roof. Acerola, now almost hitting 40, continues to live a relatively isolated life, unemployed and consumed by the desire to learn and master martial arts.
Acerola's getting real close to enlightenment- she can feel it!
