Ki Boost - Subtract an additional -1 KP from cost.
If a minion is defeated and their base PL is not within 50% of your base PL, Avenger is not triggered. Guardians are exempt from this.

BACKGROUND:
Lord Azoth was born amongst a family of royal servants to the Arcosian nobility. Ever since he was a child, his path in life was chosen by his folks, he was to become a royal guard, one of the elites that served as defendant of the arcosian people. As such, he was raised harshly, trained from birth well into adulthood, teached to face danger and overcome it. He was taken from his parents at a young age for training, as it became obvious after his birth that his potential was above average, marking him as a canditate for the military, though his noble lineage was not hidden from him, and after a while, he was allowed to visit his family. The threatement he received in the military also changed because of his birthright, he was not training to be a mere soldier, they knew from the start where his life would go.
Before long, Azoth became the very thing he was meant to be. A strong-willed, powerful Arcosian with ideas of grandeur, his people were the most important for him. His resolution and devotion to the crown made him shine in the eyes of his peers. As a person, Azoth is very clean cut, there is never much room in his mind for different ideas or debates, he shows signs of benevolance to his people, never hesitating to land a hand and most importantly, he has a strong will, a spark of life in his eyes, something most Arcosian are not born with, a flame that burns within and inspire those who do not possess something similar.
Sadly, tragedy came in the form of the Emperor's dissapearance... before Azoth could even begin his service at his lord's side even! Following this event was a complete descent into hell on Arcose, as faction emerged and division striked the most advanced species in the universe. But this came with an upside, as now was the most opportune time to shine, bring a new order to the Arcosian people and find a leader that would be most suited to rule. With that in mind, Azoth decided it was time to go out into the world and chose which of the leaders he would follow... or perhaps destiny would chose otherwise, as an idea in the back of the young arcosian's mind slowly grew on him, perhaps the dissapearance of the emperor was no coincidence, maybe, just maybe, he was meant to wear that crown.

You also start with two additional Utility Technique Slots. These are for unique effects, such as Ki Sense or Magic Materialization, which aren't specifically tied to combat.

Distanced: You deploy your barrier for an ally. You calculate its Power using your PL as per usual, but your ally must deal with the bleed-through damage instead of yourself. The ally may still use their own Defensive technique, and only one Distanced barrier can be used upon a character at once.

Preparation: You charge your attack for up to two posts. Charging for one post adds +20% to your Sparking Technique’s power, while two posts adds another +20% atop (40% total). You fire the post after you finish, but your KP and MP is consumed when you start the charge. You cannot regain KP naturally while charging, but your passive MP regeneration continues normally as you charge. You cannot use any other techniques while charging unless you fire or cancel your charged attack.
Back-Up Plan: When you use your Sparking, you generate a sustained Defensive Technique. Value depends on the size of your Sparking. Light: 20%, Medium: 30%, Heavy: 40%.
Utility Technique || Planetary Telepathy
Allows use of telepathic communication between nearby or familiar characters on the same planet as yourself, letting you and your friends always converse internally. This technique is passive and does not require KP.
Utility Technique || Ki sensing
A technique that allows you to sense, measure, and differentiate the ki signatures of ki attacks and all living beings without the Anti-Sense trait. Higher ki signatures are easier to sense and can be sensed at greater distances than lower ones. This technique is passive and does not use KP use.
