Last night had been quite the turmoil. Storms, rain and more had fallen upon the Earth to wash away the sins of the living, or perhaps, just because it was the scientific thing that happened every now and then. Not that Nasu saw any meaning to it, rather, but he did enjoy the rain. He found it to be quite a focusing factor for his mental well being but that was not something he could always count upon, therefore he decided to enjoy the night to its howls and whispers.
At the time, Nasu did not have a real place to live at — therefore the man had found the nearest tavern, owned by an elder man he soon began to chat and relate with, until a certain hour that he decided to finally close mental shop and put himself into the room he rented with that little zeni he had. And so, the night passed in company of a friendly fire and the rain as he slept and wandered across his many thoughts, concerns and more.
But he could indeed find the path that led to a world of dreams. Until morning came and he woke up, off he went and soon he left the tavern.
There was one place in his mind he could not lift the curtains of his mind off: this place was as mysterious and yet as natural as it could get, the very skies above him seemed to be ever so peaceful but however this forest was in reality full of mysteries that were even above Nasu’s comprehension.
What he could truly make out of it, instead, was not to his understanding alone but his spirit felt like it called to his place. This place he decided to wander step by step, no cloud this time, and slowly began to realize just how different and weird this forest felt.
He was not sure why. But it surely gave him an odd vibe, almost as if something could be around the corner at every single moment and yet, none whatsoever truly was there. Perhaps this called for further exploration, even, as Nasu decided to wander deeper into the forest.
Truth be told, he also had a mission. He was not here just for eyesighting or whatever, there was something great in his horizon: a quest that an elderly man had requested of him. The elder once used to wander the forests regularly, in search of an ingredient that would grow only in the holy grounds of the Korin’s forests: it was a honey sweeter than any, and in reality, the elder was the owner of a restaurant.
But as sad as it could get, the man had grown too old to wander in the wilderness without feeling ill, therefore he asked Nasu, who looked much like the muscle, to do said job. Sadly, he had no idea what this honey looked like or where it came from — but he soon began to find something strange. Bodies.
Bodies, right.
“Wait… what?”
Nasu thought to himself, his voice echoed loudly as his eyes came down as his gaze, as sharp as it could get, not even that could allow itself to remain firm: bodies, but they were not dead. They looked like they had gotten defeated pretty recently, but they were still mumbling in their sleep nonetheless. A frown came upon his gaze, just what could have taken place? The Saiyan approached further, he began to see signs of a skirmish and even more — weapons. Curved blades, nonetheless and guns. He believed they had to belong to these people.
“(They do not exactly look like a good company, either.)”
Nasu realized how most of them wore entire layers of clothing around their heads to cover their faces or a mask, at other times, that alone was not usually a good sign: whoever had to personally mask themselves usually had darker reasons behind their actions, therefore, he had to believe these were criminals. But who had fought them off? As he came past a bush, he found a large area. It was clear of trees and round and revealed a tall beast, one that looked civil enough to know what proper clothing was like.
“(Just like that dragon woman.)”
He thought to himself, he guessed it was yet another person or native of these forests but before he had a chance to speak, another thought came to mind: Death Seeking. He had to have heard of it from the old man across the many tales he told the Saiyan earlier, while they were dining as Nasu had taken shelter during the past raining night, he spoke of a tiger-like creature that preyed upon the wicked ones.
The man himself had a similar build to the tiger: both were quite muscular but of course one had way more fur than one could ever dream of, not to mention the Saiyan stood at about seven feet, but even then the Saiyan’s tail wagged curiously and his arms folded over his chest. He looked on ahead and spoke, somewhat intrigued.
“Death Seeking.”
The man spoke with confidence in his lungs and awaited to see whether that name would have perked any reaction, Nasu himself was an individual that bore a serious and penetrating gaze, one that would mellow out only at particular times and with certain people. Perhaps some could mistake him for having quite the intimidating aura, however.
“Am I right to believe what I found upon my trail is your handwork? I have to say I was intrigued after hearing about you, but now that I have seen you have left your foes alive I may just become a huge fan.”
He had something in mind to tell him, but of course he decided not to push it too much. Last time he did it, with Jackie, it did not quite go well and the woman instead did not open up. If he wanted to reach out to people, he did not have to be pushy.
“I am Nasu. Nice to meet you.”
