Hell's Kitchen (Open)

The Saiba Breeding Pits; a land so foul that it was almost uninhabitable even by Saiyan standards! The environment itself was toxic and inhospitable, the perfect place for those native to the planet to seek shelter when they were at their most vulnerable. Unfortunately, such a hostile land was perfect for military secrets, to be kept out of the watchful eyes of one's enemies.

The soldier who had discovered this long-abandoned Tuffle outpost had returned missing an arm and a part of his foot, so it had been decided that only an elite would be sent in his place to investigate. Few others took the rumors and report seriously enough to accept such a mission, but the hybrid herself was confident enough in her abilities to get the job done...

Or was she just foolhardy?

Rosemary had been scouring the ruins of the old laboratory for several hours now. The lack of light or power that would've been a hindrance to any other Saiyan was barely enough for her to notice, as her eyes glowed softly red and pulled back the veil to show the ruins in all their decrepit detail. Just as one would expect, the rooms and labs easiest to reach from the outside were all but picked clean, likely by bandits or beasts, but there had been some things of interest further within.

The locks were no more difficult to deal with than she'd expected. Most had rusted or deteriorated enough that physical strength alone broke them like any other twig from the outside. For those doors that refused to budge, however, the hybrid merely passed beyond in her own unique ways.

It was while she was searching one of the abandoned labs that a voice echoed down the empty corridor, drawing her attention from the few soggy papers that all but crumbled to dust under her touch. Even through the steel walls, she tilted her head in curiosity at the strange creature that cowered down another path. Its outer shell was like that of any mortal, but deeper within, the soul of the creature was... artificial. It did not beat with a heart's life force, but hummed like a scouter or spaceship. It was an entirely new sort of being, as far as she could remember. Even the Majin, as strange as its soul had been, hadn't confused her this much.

Moreover, it might have more answers than the dead, if only she were to ask.

Yes. Who's asking?

Even from this distance, her voice rang clearly in the creature's mind. At the edges, anger and the urge to destroy all that could be seen tickled and teased at the mind, but did not try to overwhelm. In the darkness, far from the creature and down several corridors from its chosen path, she smirked and resigned herself to an interrogation, rather than continue her search. So, the hybrid rest on the edge of a table, her tail flicking bemusedly while she held her telepathic conversation with the unseen intruder.

Rosemary has 32,337 PL and her Dark Nimbus.

Another chuckle betrayed the hybrid's amusement by how things were developing. The stranger, whoever he was, almost seemed like he was begging to be spared. He was weak enough for it, surely. Why, if she so desired, snapping his neck would be like breaking the limb off of a tree. It'd be so, so very easy that it was almost a waste of her time to be bothered...

However, she did have a job to do, regardless of her boredom and desires. She could break the twig later, perhaps.

Rosemary teased the stranger with a final message, one laced with hatred and blood lust abound. She didn't know quite what he looked like to leave a detailed picture, but she made sure to let him imagine all the horrible things she was going to do to him should he get in the way. Of course, she had no actual way of watching his actions, aside from the subtle glow of his soul wandering around against the wall, but he didn't know that.

Maybe. I haven't found it, yet.

She turned her attention to the elder demon who had chosen to wait outside.

Well, seeing as no other Saiyan on this planet so much as shows the ability to speak to the mind, I'd say it's not in my bloodline.

A telepathic chuckle followed.

It comes second nature to me, if that's what you mean. It's actually more difficult not to influence Zerori than it is to rile her up... Fun as that was. You two training again?

"You could say that~" Rosemary's voice drifted in an almost sing song fashion, further teasing and taunting the thing she had found in the ruins even as she responded to Zerori. Now that she was closer, it was much easier to investigate just how weird he actually was. Whatever the story, he was unnatural; something beyond the scope of anything she'd seen come of Vegetan minds. Was her assumption correct, or was he just another... tourist come to Plant of his own accord?

"These are Tuffle ruins, little one. They used to be a laboratory where the most vile abominations were created in hopes of surpassing our natural strength." She continued to smirk at the stranger, watching intently for any change in his expression. Despite the thing's protests, she continued to toy with his mind in her own way, planting the seeds of anger and frustration as she pleased and waiting for a result. What kind of effect would she have on its mind, unnatural as it was?

"Like this one here." Her smile widened, and she finally left the thing to be. "So, what are you, anyways? It's not every day I find a scouter that can talk." The hybrid chuckled at its expense, and joined Zerori in searching the drawers for anything that might have been valuable to her superiors.
