The Turning Gears of Truth

Several bizarre rumors had been surfacing as of late, but one in particular had been picking up some more steam than others. Apparently some sort of ‘android science experiment’ had escaped containment and had begun causing a ruckus or wreaking havoc— typical vanilla rumor mill type stuff. A description of the entity was given out by the government organization seeking it out, and as expected, citizens were told to stay far away from the entity as it was deemed incredibly dangerous.

Now, most people were the type to believe this at face value, heed this ‘warning’ and go about their day as normal, but Tysco was not one of those people. As soon as these rumors started gaining noticeable traction, he had decided to look into it in his free time, and it brought him to a district of East City where the entity was supposedly last sighted. The area was an abandoned warehouse, understandably guarded by various agents that were working for the aforementioned organization; telling any curious civilians that wandered too close to back away and take safe detours as shown by the agents present. Tysco observed from a safe distance, using the crowd to his advantage to see what else would be happening. Apparently some folks had tried to sneak past, but the agents had countermeasures— scouters and at least one of them were capable of sensing Ki...

This wouldn’t help them for very long however, as Tysco had no ki signature to read in any way whatsoever. He couldn’t just waltz right in though, he was a clever guy and he could do far better. So, Tysco feigned disinterest and began to walk away until he was no longer observed where he would sneakily turn himself into a simple small black rat with his shapeshifting ability before he scurried his way back and stealthily into the warehouse, and there were quite a few rats in lurking around in there already so he definitely chose the right form for the job.

There wasn’t really all that much to see, and the agents investigating the warehouse interior were not as concerned with the dozens of rats scurrying around as they probably should have been, so Tysco was more pretty free to move around and listen in on a few conversations here and there.

Soon however, he felt a breeze in one of the blocked up loading bays that had a bunch of toppled over crates... Some agents were observing the room, but as a rat, Tysco had a different perspective, and he could easily get around the crates where he found that the wall had a pretty big hole in it leading into another smaller room, and there was a hole in the ground... The one these guys were looking for might have escaped through here! Well... Tysco was going to keep it that way. He pointed his rat tail at the broken wall and fixed it up with his magical powers before scurrying down the hole in the ground, making sure to seal it behind himself in the same way that he did for the wall.

Eventually the tunnel led out of East City and into... the Mount Paozu region?! Once he got out into the open, Tysco returned to his normal form and looked around for any oddities. “Hm, this’ll definitely be interesting, that’s for sure.”
