Korado had decided to head down to the saiyan side. It was not something he thought of doing but he decided to head there because he was going to buy some last supplies he'd need for his ship. He could of headed to the tuffles but he also wanted to see his people. Even if he was leaving the planet it didn't mean he didn't have a soft spot for half of his blood. Even if it was becoming more clear each day he really fell into the tuffle side of things. That was not important right now though. He could hide well enough with his fake tail. To most eyes he looked exactly like a saiyan. He hid sickle in a bag he was carrying with him as he headed into a local bar.
He glanced around most of the saiyans were drinking and cheering. He heard some of them talking about tuffles they had killed or Saibaman they had crushed. He didn't bother with them he headed towards the bartender. "I'm looking for parts for a ship. What place would I have to go in town to find some." The Saiyan Bartender kept cleaning cups. "Not sure why you need ship parts and if you wanna know buy yourself a drink." He grinned as Korado sighed. He pulled into his bag pulling out a few coins. He dropped them on the table, "That will be enough?" Korado glanced around the bar as some of the saiyans stared at him. The bartender just picked the coins up and began to get him a drink, "Yah it will be." Korado waited for the drink and the answer to his question.
Delia's PL: 37,000 Active Transformations: N/A | Items: N/A
It was another day on Plant, Delia wandering around in her casual attire on the Saiyan side of the planet as she tended to do when she wasn't training- or looking for a fight. Tarble village was one of the few places that she actually hung around pretty often, finding the far quieter Saiyan settlement to be rather nice at times. And to top it all off, some of her relatives lived in the area so she always had a place to rest for free if need be- though, some persuasion might be needed for that. Regardless, it was far from bedtime so she figured she'd pay a stop to one of the villages bars- even if she hadn't intended on drinking or anything.
Upon arrival, she'd make her way towards the counter where she noticed a stranger conversing with the bartender about- ship parts? A few blinks were done as she heard that, head tilting to the direction of the inquirer. "Yo!" She greeted, grinning as was common for the young woman. "Not to rain on your parade or nothin', but.. this probably isn't the best spot to be looking for ship parts." Delia informed him, those star-like irises of hers almost seeming to twinkle a little bit. "If you wanted stuff like that, you should've went to the capital! They usually got stuff like that around as long as you've got the cash to pay for it." She nods a bit. Her eyes scanned the stranger for a time, humming a bit. It seemed like he was a Saiyan, with the tail and all- but Delia still found it a little strange. "Hmm.. are you not from around here or something?" Delia asked, a brow raised. "I feel like most people on this side of the planet would know that."
Meanwhile, a hand slipped into her jacket pocket to grab some cash which was promptly placed on the counter. "Ah- one apple juice, please." She said to the bartender.
Korado heard someone call out to him, he turned to see a young woman calling out and explaining this was not the best place to look for ship parts. He would have wanted to go to the capital. While he had been aware of that he also knew it was dangerous. If he spotted out here, he was sure he could fight his way out. On the other hand, if he was spotted in the capital it'd be a much tougher fight. She also had a good perception as she called him out for not being around here. Though she seemed to not realize she was a truffle. Korado glanced back at her, "Well I'm not from around this area yes. I live away from this city. Are you the same? Living in another part of the planet?" Korado asked before turning back to the Bartender.
The Bartender passed him his drink as Korado glanced and took a drink. It was pretty strong that was for sure. "Alright.." Korado sipped as the Bartender glanced back at Delia, "Right...apple juice. Young lady, you know this is a bar right?" He seemed dumbfounded as she turned to go get some apple juice regardless of the answer. Korado tapped his hand on the table as the Bartender snapped, "I'll give your information when I'm done and you're done drinking that." Korado was a bit annoyed as while the Bartender was not looking he poured all of it down his bag. Instead of the bag being soaked though Sickle just began to drink it. Maybe he'd enjoy it more then Korado did.
Delia seemed to hit the nail on the head with that guess- not that it was a feat of any kind. Anybody that had an affinity for eavesdropping probably could've figured out that the stranger hadn't been from this particular area. "Aha- figured as much." Delia chimed in, though shook her head a bit at the question that was asked not long after. "Nope! I live around here, actually. It's much nicer than.. ninety percent of the rest of this ugly planet, I like to think. Well- can't say it's nicer than any of the Tuffle stuff for sure, since I've never actually been over there, but.. I'm sure it's nicer." Delia nods her head a little bit, assuming most of this dreadful planet was all the same.
"- and yeah! I know, I just want some apple juice." Delia turned towards the bartender as he prepared her drink. "As long as I'm paying, it shouldn't matter too much what I order- right?" That made sense to Delia, so surely it'd make sense to the bartender. Her eyes shifted back towards the disguised Tuffle not long after- just in time to watch him pour his drink into that bag of his. Her head tilted to the side a tad bit afterwards, blinking a couple of times afterwards.
"Uh.. what the heck?" Delia rose a brow. "I don't think that was the best way of saving it for later, dude. You could've just.. asked for a to-go cup. Now your bag is gonna be smelling like alcohol until you wash it!" She exclaimed, eyes resting on the bag for a while. "Dunno if the bartenders gonna give you information now that you wasted that drink!"
Delia was a local actually saying that she lived around here and this place looked a lot better than the rest of the planet. Korado nodded, "Agreed, I can say that from first-hand experience. This planet is a wasteland in a lot of ways. It is a shame really it can be a really nice place but the war." Korado was getting a little too much into thinking about how the plant as opposed to how it was. The Bartender grumbled, "Well once the tuffles are dead we don't need to be having no more war." Korado pulled at his armor, "Right." He shook his head. He really had to remember most of the people here wanted the tuffles to die. On the other hand, he was more in the middle of this whole battle.
The Bartender got the apple juice for Delia to put down. He glanced over as she asked if she could as much as you want the Bartender just turned back to clean glasses, "How much do you want? That is the real question. It not as if we got apple trees growing on the planet lady." He glanced at Korado, "As for you have another drink." Korado rubbed his head, "Fine. Give me some apple juice instead though. I don't wanna drink any more alcohol."
Delia also raised a rightful concern that he just poured his beer into his bag as if nothing would go wrong. Korado glanced there, "Oh this is my totally custom-made water pouch. So it's fine I'll use it later." Though it was a bit later as the Bartender glanced, "Wasting my drink. You better have that beer in that bag." Korado looked annoyed at Delia before shrugged, "Well I paid for it just get me another drink." The man went back to get him more apple juice as he focused back on Delia. "So you live around here what it is like. I personally use to live in the capital and not much else. Trying to expand my horizons a bit now. Not getting any older might as well enjoy what this planet has to offer."
"Well- I don't think that getting rid of the Tuffles would actually change that much." Delia chimed in as they were brought up. It was probably a pretty unpopular opinion on this side of the planet, but it was that Delia had stuck with- even after having her own tail picked off by a Tuffle a while back. "I mean.. there might not be any wars on this planet at least- but I'm sure somebody'll end up coming to try and kick us off so the Tuffles can have it again at some point." She nods a bit afterwards. "Besides, it still wouldn't change the way this stupid place looks at all."
The bartender got to work on her apple juice, Delia starting carefully at the drink that was handed over. A shrug followed, the young woman grinning as always. She swooped down to grab the cup, taking a small sip from it afterwards. "Sweet- though.. tastes kinda different from the stuff on Earth. Maybe the air did something to it.." Her voice trailed off for a moment as she critiqued the juice, then she took another sip. "Ah well! Just this should be fine." And if she changed her mind later on, ordering more was always an option.
A few blinks were done at the mention of a custom-made water pouch, or whatever. Delia had no idea why anyone would need that- but after the look given to her, she figured it best to just keep her mouth shut about it. "Ah- oops." A hand came up to rub at the back of her head for a brief moment, a nervous chuckle leaving the young woman. "Yeah, I live here. It's way different from the capital- or any Saiyan settlement, really. We've got fights and the usual arguments, but overall things are way quieter. People really only come here 'cause it's like this, I feel." She nods her head a bit. "Definitely haven't seen anyone come out here for ship parts before, at least."
She took a break from speaking to sip from her apple juice, nodding a little more. "What about you?" She asks. "What's it like living outside of the settlements? I.. can't imagine it's all that great- but figured I'd ask!"
Korado snorted as Delia noted that the planet would still be a pretty shit place. Plus someone else might come back around and just try to kick them off the planet. The Bartender just cleaned some glasses, "Whatever Lady." He was just going to do his job. Korado glanced over, "Guess you are right in some ways. But I think this planet could look pretty good. We have been having wars for generations. So of course it looks like a hellhole because it has been one. Excuse me for the language." Korado went back to his new apple juice as he took a drink. It was a pretty odd taste. He had never had anything like it. It was not bad at all though. Guess it was just one of the traits that Earth had.
As for the place she noted that this place was pretty different from the capital or other settlements. They did have the usual fights but it was generally a bit more peaceful. "I see it does not sound so bad. And your right the Capital there a lot of fights but also a lot of politics. Not something I can enjoy." Korado shook his head. It had always felt more like a prison than a home for him. Delia then asked him about his life outside the settlements which earned her a shrug. "It is not that great that is true. But it is peaceful. I'm away from the Saiyan and the Tuffles wars. Then again I run into a lot of Saibamen. Those guys are all that fun to deal with I can tell you that." Korado sipped the apple juice. "But it is a life that I enjoy. But getting off this planet I think would be even better."
The bartender proceeded to walk off and do his thing, Delia not paying much mind to him at this point. After all, she had her juice now so there wasn't any need to focus her attention elsewhere at the moment- at least, not until she finished with her current glass. Speaking of which, she proceeded to take another sip of her juice while she listened to Korado speak. "Guess it's possible something could happen once this is all over.." Delia started after setting her now glass back down. "Somebody told me the Tuffles are planning on terraforming the place if they win, but.. uh.. still don't know exactly what that means- and it'd require the Tuffles winning, anyway, so we'll see how that turns out." She nods her head some after.
"This side of the planet is super noisy, with the exceptions of a few spots- Tarble included, of course." Other than this little village, the only other way you'd find some sort of peace and quiet was if you'd hang out away from any sort of civilization- but then you'd have a chance of getting swarmed by a bunch of saiba-creatures. Or bandits, those were a thing, too. "Yeah.. don't think I could live away from other people. The quiet and lack of fights is cool and all, but I'd rather not have to walk out of my way for things as simple as ship parts." Delia shrugs a little bit, enjoying how easy it was to just walk outside and find whatever she needed- or take a short trip to the capital to handle that.
"There's a lot of cool places away from Plant- planets that haven't been turned into trash-heaps. I went to Earth not that long ago and it's a pretty great looking place! Friendly people, good food- and apple juice." She nods some. "Is that why you're looking for ship parts?" Delia asked, even if it was kind of a dumb question. "Are you about ready to get away from this stupid place?"
Korado glanced at Delia as she noted that things could change and she heard the rumor that the tuffles might terraform the entire planet once they win. He rubbed his chin at the thought, "Guess they would want to give it a new start. Though by them winning it means we are all getting thrown off the planet." Korado shook his head. He didn't want to see anyone forced off the planet but that seemed how the war would end. He wondered where the Saiyans would go if they lost. Maybe this earth. Maybe some other planet in the cosmos. Then again though he didn't favor the tuffles chance of winning the war. From what he had seen so far, the saiyans had the overwhelming advantage. Other than the Destron Gas the tuffles seemed outmatched.
As for the planet itself well it was pretty noisy. He agreed on that. And his lifestyle seemed to the opposite of that. A peaceful existence with little noise. It was a completely different way of life. He couldn't see himself living in a noisy city like this all the time. Especially with his time when he was a kid. He always hated the crowded noise of the cities. It was like an ear-wracking symphony. "I can agree somewhat with the idea. Personally, I like the quiet but it is not for anyone." Korado gave a shrug. Speaking of places to go she talked about Earth. It was a planet he had been hearing a lot about and she gave it even more praise. It really did sound like the place one wanted to go if they wanted to be at peace. "Right, I'll probably head there." Korado shrugged, "As for when I'm almost done. I got some house cleaning to do and a few more parts to get."
"Yeah- that's true.." Delia started, a thoughtful hum leaving the young woman not long after. "Though- one of the Tuffle people I spoke to before said that the Saiyans that didn't actively fight and didn't really want any trouble wouldn't have to leave." A few nods were done, recalling one of her previous encounters with an individual that took place not too long ago. "Not sure that all the Tuffles would feel the same about it, but- guess we'll just have to wait and see how things turn out." Nobody could really see what would happen in the future- especially not Delia- so she figured there wasn't much point in speculating about what might end up happening in either case.
"I'm sure you'll like Earth, though!" Delia exclaims. "I'm probably gonna head back there at some point just to explore again. I've met a lot of cool people there, ate a lot of tasty food and even fought some pretty tough people. And if you like the quiet, you'll definitely find some nice places over there." Though she hadn't gotten a chance to explore every inch of the planet, the Saiyan did manage to find a handful of peaceful spots- then again, it wasn't hard for places to be considered peaceful when compared to most places on Plant.
Housecare was pretty important, so she couldn't really speak much in that regards and just gave a slight nod instead. Though, one question had been lingering in her mind somewhat. "So.. why don't you just buy a ship that's already put together?" She asked, a brow raised. "It'd be way more efficient than going through the hassle of building your own, I think. Can't imagine the process would be easy, either." Or maybe it was and she was just dumb. "Are you some sort of Saiyan scientist or somethin'?"
Korado glanced surprised as Delia noted that one of the tuffles she had talked to would allow some of the saiyans to stay. It was an interesting thought but he was not sure many would stop fighting even at defeat. But at least it was a good thought. "Maybe I hope we can see that. I just wish both sides would exist together. But of course." He sipped the apple juice, "The tuffles use toxic weaponry. Don't think we can coexist." He more said that to cover his behind in the bar. He was still trying to be careful with his words. He didn't wanna run into trouble of trouble. The best way to do that was just to pretend to blame the tuffle's. That how he was going to handle it anyway.
Anyway, Earth was the place he was going anyway. What happened to Plant would be up to its people. Not him that was for damn sure. She seemed to plan to head back but more of a place she visited. "Your heart still on plant huh?" Korado leaned back. "Can't say I do. All this planet has is a war to its name." Korado shrugged. Nothing left for him here. Everything he had at some point was gone. Nothing left to make it worth staying on the planet. Then Delia asked about why he didn't just buy and if he was some saiyan scientist, "I'd rather not throw my name around like someone trying to leave the planet. But yes I'd consider myself a scientist of some sort. I've collected tuffle blueprints and the like from the war. Slowly learned how to craft my own escape." Korado finished off the apple juice "At least that is the hope last time i tried that my ship exploded. So I got some work to do."
It seemed that Korado had a similar stance to Delia on the thoughts of the war, really. Even if she had hoped that one day peace could be achieved on Plant, the likelihood of that actually happening was pretty low. Even if things had been halted altogether for a while, she had no doubts that somebody would do something to start the war again. "Yeeeah- but like I said, we'll just have to wait and see what happens, really. Maybe something surprising will end up happening soon enough." She nods a little bit, going ahead and taking a sip of her juice afterwards. Hopefully, nothing surprising that'd result in the deaths of anyone or anything like that.
"Well.. this place still is where I'm from- and where most of the Saiyans are, so it wouldn't feel right to just forget about the place.. even if it is ugly and fighting constantly happens." A slight shrug is done after. Though she wanted to run off and do things elsewhere, leaving Plant to it's fate just seemed wrong to her- even if her being on the planet probably wouldn't make much of a difference. There were tons of Saiyans around with relatively high power levels, which meant that they'd probably be enough to ward off any would-be attackers.
A light hum left the young woman after that, simply taking a moment to think- followed by her finishing off the remaining bit of apple juice. "I guess that's one way to get off Plant. Still think it'd be easier to just buy your own ship, as opposed to learning how to make your own." She says, setting the now empty glass on the countertop once again. "You're power is decently high from what I can tell, so.. you could probably be way stronger if you focused more on fighting and training, than learning all that technology stuff." Probably.
Delia blinks a few times, suddenly remembering something else. "By the way- what's your name, anyway?" She questioned. "I always forget to ask people that for some reason."
Korado gave a nod to Delia. Really it would be nice if it turned to peace. Korado wondered for a moment what would need to happen in order for everyone to have that peace. For the saiyans and tuffles to coexist. Maybe a half saiyan half tuffle like himself at a throne? No, they probably just condemn that. Plus he'd never want to rule a planet. But it was a thought, together the saiyans and truffle could do a lot of good. Even if neither side truly realized this. As for her place, he tended to agree with the sentiment. It was her home. But Korado had lived in the capital and it had been too much for him. He couldn't feel much attached to this place or anywhere really. At least that was his thought on the matter.
Korado glanced at the bartender, "I'll take another apple juice." He might as well have some more. The Bartender grumbled and went to get some more. He glanced at Delia as she noted it would be easier to get a ship instead of doing all this leg work. And he was strong enough, and he could probably get stronger if he focused on strength rather than his technology. "Both fine points I suppose. But I don't much crave power. I got enough strength to defend myself. I would rather change the world than use force to crush those who stand before me. Strength is only really needed because I live in a harsh world. At least that how I see it. As for the ship, I suppose so. But it not as if I got a lot of money to buy a ship." Korado rubbed his chin. Then again with all the scrap, he collected he probably could have saved up enough to buy one. But at the end of that she then quickly asked for his name. Had he even asked for hers? "Oh right? I guess that something we forgot. I'm Korado can I ask for your name?" Korado offered his hand out to shake Delia's.
When Korado asked for another glass, her eyes shifted to her now empty cup- wondering if she should get more as well, surely. It was pretty refreshing, but it wasn't the same as it tasted back on Earth for one reason or another. Probably something to do with the fact that it wasn't exactly native to Plant- or maybe it had something to do with all that nasty Destron in the air. Either way, she pushed her cup forward towards the edge of the counter after some thinking, turning towards the bartender after. "And- I think I'm good on juice for now, mister!" She says, nodding some before attention shifted to Korado again.
"I guess being strong on Plant is pretty important, but elsewhere.. not so much- so I can see why you don't care too much, I guess." Once again, Delia nods. "The Earthlings are all pretty weak, especially compared to Saiyans- probably 'cause they don't have to worry about the threat of being invaded by some alien race." Or did they? Delia really hadn't bothered to ask about that while she was over there. "I think being smart enough to build cool stuff is neat too, though! I'm sure you'll be a great asset to the Saiyan army if you end up sticking around- but if you leave for a different planet, I can't blame you too much. Being able to build a ship woulda' made me leave way earlier if I coulda' done something like that."
The stranger ended up giving a name, a light hum leaving Delia for a moment. "Korado, got it!" It was a fairly easy name, so remembering it shouldn't have been too hard. "As for myself-" Delia hopped out of her chair. It had been a pretty long time since she had given her special introduction.
She clears her throat- grin widening not long after. "I'm everyone's favorite, elite, perfect, apple juice loving idol-" Delia started, both hands quickly shooting up after that last bit, forming peace signs with both hands. They then dropped in front of her face quickly, hands positioned so her eyes were visible between her index and middle fingers. "An up-and-coming star that just so happened to be born on this miserable planet-" Three quickly twirls were done, stopping and sliding her left leg forward some. One hand remained in front of her face while the other moved outwards to point at Korado. "Delia's the name- and don't you forget it!" After that little bit, she held the pose for a while, ignoring any onlookers.
The Bartender glanced a Delia confirmed she was done with the juice for now, "Just put your money on the counter unless you're ordering something else." He glanced to Korado, "You almost done ordering stuff too." Korado nodded, "I think so I am just gonna chit chat for a bit unless you got food here." The Bartender nodded, "We do get a bit of food I'll get you a menu." Korado imagined bar food was not all that good but he was having a good conversation here. He didn't wanna leave it hanging by being done just yet. The parts for his ship could wait a moment. Having a conversation was not something you could put on hold.
Korado nodded as Delia pointed out being strong on plant was probably important but another planet it may not be more so. Using Earth as the template, not many people on the planet were strong fighters. They didn't need to be, they didn't live on a planet where every day you were fighting for one's survival. Korado leaned back in thought as Delia noted he'd also been a good soldier for the Saiyan Army. "Yah maybe in another lifetime." It was basically. It had been over ten years from when he left this planet the first time. He had been a soldier then. Though he was not as skilled as he was in biological or mechanical engineering.
She seemed to be willing to remember his name that was nice and then gave a little introduction of herself. She was everyone's favorite idol. He didn't know what that meant but must have been something on Earth. "I see so you're making your fortune being this..idol. On Earth right?" Korado said as he took the sip of his apple juice. "It is nice to meet you, Delia. I will make a note not to forget it." Korado smiled. "So what do you plan for your future then if I can ask? You must have a grand plan for your future..being this idol and all?"
